모바일 로봇의 충돌회피 알고리즘 개발 (A Real-Time Collision-Free Trajectory Planning and Control for a Car-Like Mobile Robot)

  • This study proposes a new approach to analyze the impedance and the elasticity of a serial chain of spring-damper system, areal-time collision-free trajectory generation algorithm is proposed. The reference points on a trajectory connected by the spring-damper system have a mechanism for self-position adjustment to solve a collision problem by the impedance, and the local adjustment of each reference point is propagated through the elasticity to a real robot at the end of the spring-damper system. As a result, the overall trajectory consisting of the reference points becomes free of collision with environmental obstacles and efficient having the shortest distance as possible. In this process,, the reference points connected by the spring-damper system take role of virtual robot as global guidance for a real robot, and a cooperative is carried out by the system of robots. A control technology is proposed to implement for mobile robot.

  • As human-friendly robot techniques improve, the concept of the wearability of robotic arms becomes important. A master arm that detects human arm motion and provides virtual forces to the operator is an embodied concept of a wearable robotic arm. In this study, we design a 7 DOF wearable robotic arm with high joint torques. An operator wearing this robotic arm can move around freely because this robotic arm was designed to have its fixed point at the shoulder part of the operator. The proposed robotic arm uses parallel mechanisms at the shoulder part and the wrist part on the model of the human muscular structure of an upper limb. To reduce the computational load in solving the forward kinematics and to prevent singularity motions of the parallel mechanism, yawing motion of the parallel mechanisms was separated using a slip ling mechanism. The total weight of the proposed robotic arm is about 4 kg. An experimental result of force tracking test for the pneumatic control system and an application example for VR robot are described to show the validity of the robot.

가상 경로 재구성을 통한 ATM망 자원 관리 및 제어 (ATM Network Resource Mangement and Control via Virtual Path Reconfiguration)

  • ATM 망이 가진 장점을 충분히 살릴 수 있기 위해서는 ATM 망 자원에 대한 체계적이고 효과적인 관리 및 제어가 필수적이다. 망 설계 시점과 다른 유동적인 망 환경에 능동적으로 대응하기 위해 ATM 망은 기존의 회선 교환망에서의 망 설계 및 계획, 호 라우팅 방법 외에 논리적 가상 경로 재구성 기능을 제공한다. 가상 경로 재구성 기능을 적절하게 이용하면 유동적인 망 운영 환경에서 망 설계 및 계획, 호 라우팅 문제를 보다 유연하게 해결할 수 있다. 그러나 ATM망에서 가상 경로를 이용한 망 재구성은 가상 경로 연결 종점 기능을 갖는 노드쌍의 선정, 두 가상 경로 연결 노드간의 가상 경로 라우팅, 가상 경로 대역폭 할당, 가상 채널 라우팅 등을 고려해야 하는 복잡하고 어려운 문제이다. 대부분의 기존 연구는 가상 경로 망 재구성 문제 전체 영역중 일부분만을 고려하여 망 재구성 문제를 접근하였다. 본 논문에서는 가상 경로 망 재구성의 전반적 요소들을 고려하여 ATM 망 재구성 문제를 수학적으로 모델링 하였다. 제시한 수학적 모델은 매우 복잡한 형태이므로 가능한 해결 방안으로 최대 최소 접근 방식의 발견적 알고리즘을 제시하였다.

3차원 얼굴 메이크업을 위한 사실적인 피부 렌더링 (Realistic Skin Rendering for 3D Facial Makeup)

  • 메이크업 시뮬레이션은 입력 장치와 디스플레이를 사용하여 가상의 디지털 얼굴에 다양한 화장법을 시험해 볼 수 있는 도구이다. 최근에 다양한 메이크업 스타일을 지원하는 시뮬레이션 시스템들이 개발되었지만, 대부분의 시스템들이 2차원 얼굴 영상을 사용하기 때문에 피부를 사실적으로 표현하는데 제약이 많다. 본 연구에서는 피부의 거칠기와 반사도를 조절할 수 있는 사실적인 3차원 메이크업 방법을 개발하였다. 제안 방법은 3차원 스캐너로 획득한 고해상도의 얼굴 데이터 상에서 피부 파라미터 값을 변경하면서 메이크업을 시뮬레이션할 수 있다. 또한 포인트 기반 형상표현을 사용하여 3차원 렌더링 과정을 간단하고 유연하게 표현하였으며, 얼굴 부위에 따라 반사도를 달리 적용하여 보다 사실적인 메이크업 시뮬레이션을 가능하게 하였다.

Human Head Mouse System Based on Facial Gesture Recognition

  • Camera position information from 2D face image is very important for that make the virtual 3D face model synchronize to the real face at view point, and it is also very important for any other uses such as: human computer interface (face mouth), automatic camera control etc. We present an algorithm to detect human face region and mouth, based on special color features of face and mouth in $YC_bC_r$ color space. The algorithm constructs a mouth feature image based on $C_b\;and\;C_r$ values, and use pattern method to detect the mouth position. And then we use the geometrical relationship between mouth position information and face side boundary information to determine the camera position. Experimental results demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm and the Correct Determination Rate is accredited for applying it into practice.

Suggested Temperature Monitoring System for Distribution Transformers by Using Microcontroller Scheme

  • The paper presents a monitoring system for the cooling of distribution transformers. The suggested system is controlled by a microcontroller scheme. The system is designed to control the oil temperature. It gives a solution to improve the cooling system by adding a number of fans especially for indoor transformers that are placed in badly-ventilated rooms. Also, the paper includes an alarm system with the possibility of tripping the transformer if it is necessary. The monitoring system consists of acquisition temperature sensor, and on-site unit. The hardware and software of the on-site unit are demonstrated with sufficient illustrations. Small prototype is constructed in the laboratory. Some laboratory experiments are carried out for examining the designed circuit by using Proteus Virtual System Modeling as well as for testing the prototype monitoring system. Concerning this research point, a study is carried out to evaluate the economic feasibility. The results are recorded and associated with many recommendations that may be valuable to electrical distribution (utility) companies.

  • When a task requires two robot arms to move in a cooperative manner sharing a common workspace, potential collision exists between the two robot arm . In this paper, a novel approach for collision-free trajectory planning along paths of two SCARA-type robot arms is presented. Specifically, in order to describe potential collision between the links of two moving robot arms along the designated paths, an explicit form of "Virtual Obstacle" is adopted, according to which links of one robot arm are made to grow while the other robot arm is forced to shrink as a point on the path. Then, a notion of "Coordination Chart" is introduced to visualize the collision-free relationship of two trajectories.of two trajectories.

  • The study aims to propose a method that shall rapidly acquire 3D spatial information of the frequently changing city areas by using the low altitude aerial images taken by the UAV. The artificial 3D model of the artificial structures was constructed using the aerial image data photographed at the test area, calibration data of the non-metric camera and the results of the ground control point survey. Also, the digital surface model was created for areas that were changed due to a number of civil works. Through the above studies, the possibilities of constructing a 3D virtual city model, renewal of 3D GIS database, abstraction of changed information in geographic features and on-demand updating of the digital map were suggested.

  • 제한된 훈련장안에서 실전에 대비한 훈련이 되려면, 다양한 전투상황이 부여된 현실감 있는 모의훈련이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 현실감 있는 모의훈련을 위해 가상영상이 아닌 지상기반 CCD 카메라영상에 지정된 시나리오대로 가상표적을 전시하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 고해상도 GeoTIFF(Geographic Tag Image File Format) 위성 영상과 DTED(Digital Terrain Elevation Data)를 이용하여 현실감 있는 3차원 모델을 생성(운용자용)하고, 입력된 CCD 영상(운용자, 훈련자용)으로부터 도로를 추출하였다. 위성영상과 지상기반 센서영상은 관측위치, 분해능, 스케일 등에 많은 차이가 있어 특징기반 정합이 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 영상 워핑함수인 TPS(Thin-Plate Spline) 보간 함수를 일치하는 두개의 제어점 집합에 적용하여 3차원 모델에 표시된 이동경로를 따라 CCD 영상에서도 표적이 전시되는 이동 동기화 방법을 제안하였다. 실험환경은 Pentium4 1.8MHz(RAM 512M)의 PC 2대를 사용하였으며, 실험 영상은 대전지역의 위성영상과 CCD 영상을 이용, 제안한 알고리즘의 유효성을 입증하였다.

  • With the recent advancement of control method and battery technology, the electric vehicle have been researched to replace the conventional vehicle with electric vehicle with the view point of the environmental concerns and energy conservation. An electric vehicle which is equipped with the independent front steering system and in-wheel motors has advantage in terms of control. For example, the different torque which generated by left and right wheels directly can make yaw moment and the independent steering using outer wheel control is able to reduce the sideslip angle. Using of independent steering and driving system, the 4 wheel electric vehicle can improve a performance better than conventional vehicle. In this paper, we consider the method for improving the cornering performance of independent front steering system and in-wheel motor used electric vehicle with the compensated outer wheel angle and direct yaw moment control. Simulation results show that the method can improve the cornering performance of 4 wheel electric vehicle. We also apply the steering motor failure to steer the vehicle turned by the torque difference without steering. This paper describes an independent front steering and driving, consist of three parts; Vehicle Model, Control Algorithm for independent steering and driving and simulation. First, vehicle model is application of TruckSim software for independent front steering and 4 wheel driving. Second, control algorithm describes the reduced sideslip and direct yaw moment method in view of cornering performance. Last is simulation and verification.
