  • This paper presents the design and implementation of a VPN (Virtual Private Network) module to address the need for external access and functional expansion of NVR (Network Video Recorder) systems. NVR systems play a critical role in enhancing security across various industries through real-time monitoring and recording. However, they are vulnerable to security threats, particularly when a secure connection to external networks is required. To resolve this issue, this study applied a VPN module to ensure that NVR systems can communicate securely with external networks. This approach enabled remote access and real-time event notifications. Performance tests confirmed 100% accuracy in event notifications. This research contributes to improving the security and operational efficiency of NVR systems, highlighting the necessity and utility of VPN modules for secure communication with external networks.

  • 최근 급증하는 보안 침해 사고와 함께 보다 다양해지고 있는 해킹 기법들에 대한 대응책 마련이 논의되고 있다. 기업의 내부 인프라 자산 보호를 위해 조치를 취할 수 있는 기본적인 1차 대응책으로 네트워크 계층에서의 방어에 대한 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반 공중망(Public Network)과 분리된 가상의 사설망(VPN: Virtual Private Network)을 구현함으로써 기존의 VPN 모델보다 보안성이 뛰어나며 저렴한 비용으로 외부에서의 접근 및 스누핑(Snooping) 공격과 같은 보안위협에 대비할 수 있는 VPN 모델을 구축하여 실제 현업 망에서의 적용 가능성을 도출하고자 한다.

  • Network based VPN(Virtual Private Network) using MPLS(Multiprotocol Label Switching) technology, called PE(Provider Edge router) based MPLS VPN, is regarded as a good solution for intranets or ext3nets because of the low cost and the flexibility of the service provision. In this paper, we describe a mechanism that allows the VPN users to move from one site to another site of the VPN network based on the BGP-E MPLS technology. This mechanism is designed for PE(Provider Edge) routers of the backbone network. PE routers connected to the VPN sites establish a new MPLS path to the mobile node after they detect movement of the mobile VPN node. The new location may belong to the same VPN or to different VPN. We desisted VPN management and control functions of the PE routers in order to interface with the Mobile IP protocol and support the QoS mechanism. The pilot implementation and performance measurement were carried out on a simulation using COVERS tool.

  • As enactment and enforcement of capital markets integration law, investment banks are going to be appeared in our financial market and be able to provide payment services. To provide these kinds of services, investment banks need to be participated in the financial network. As the financial network enormously affect the economy, the operation of the network will require a variety of risk managements. In this paper we define operational risk management criteria for the financial network such as security, in-time response, economical efficiency and stability to be required for the healthy economy and propose the configuration of the financial network system based on virtual private networks for investment banks to provide payment services. Finally we analyze that the proposed VPN configuration for financial networks has high security and in-time response with the cost and operation effective.

  • Currently most of VPNs within internet has only capability to protect cooperate data. Recently, various types of VPNs are being studied based on the concept of SCG(Secure Communication Group). This paper analyses the problems of path-definition method and area-definition method of VPNs using SCG technology, and discusses the possible models among VPNs using SCG technology. This paper proposes the hierarchal VPN configuration method using SCG number and internet based area definition method, and analyze the characteristics of the proposed VPN model on the point of the authentication frequency and the number of managements keys.

  • This paper describes an architecture how QoS-enabled virtual private network networks over the internet can be built and managed. The basic technologies for secure VPNs and for QoS support the introduced. Vision of a QoS-enabled VPN service over internet is described. We also presented the simplified implementation scenario and some implementation details in order to achieve secure and QoS-enable VPNs.

  • When broadcasters want immediately a variety of VOD files in a distributed server of them data centers and away contents provider, CPs of different platform to exchange high-quality HD, 3DTV video and other video files over the IP networks of high-performance that can be transferred quickly and must be configured quickly. This paper, by using an optional encryption method to complement a QoS and security of public network, suggests high speed and secure content transmission protocol such as VPN(Virtual Private Network) for large video files and big data. As configured high performance VPN, end to end devices use the best of available resources over public network by parallel transfer protocol and the secure content delivery network.

  • VPN(Virtual Private Network)은 공중망(Public Network)을 통해서 사설망(Private Network) 서비스를 제공해준다. VPN의 발달과 더불어 여러 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 VPN의 멀티캐스트 지원이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 하지만 VPN에서 멀티캐스트를 제공하기 위해서는 많은 제약사항들이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 제약사항을 고려하여 PE(Provider Edge)노드만으로 Tree를 구성하고 BGP-E를 통하여 멀티캐스트 정보를 공유하는 BGP-E기반 MPLS VPN의 멀티캐스트 방법을 제안한다.

  • Guarantee of the data integrity is important to the Virtual Private Network (VPN) which can be improved cost decreasing and effective work by applying on Internet as the private network. Thus, the integrity function in the VPN must be maintained and the security manager must be check it occasionally. In this paper we propose the VPN Integrity Evaluation System (VIES) which is collecting, and evaluating automatically the vulnerable data of VPN against current hacking mechanisms in information security system. And this VIES obtain to the results which have objectivity and fairness of evaluation by driving off the evaluation scenario based on Common Criteria (CC), and general users or non-specialist can utilize easy the security evaluation of organization.
