이것은 PAVM(Power Aware Virtual Memory) 연구의 일반화된 시스템 전반에 대한 연구라고 할 수 있다.

  • Video mosaicing techniques have been widely used in virtual reality environments. Especially in GIS field, video mosaics are becoming more and more common in representing urban environments. Such applications mainly use spherical or panoramic mosaics that are based on images taken from a rotating camera around its nodal point. The viewpoint, however, is limited to location within a small area. On the other hand, 2D-mosaics, which are based on images taken from a translating camera, can acquire data in wide area. The 2D-mosaics still have some problems : it can‘t be applied to images taken from a rotational camera in large angle. To compensate those problems , we proposed a novel method for creating video mosaics in 3D space. The proposed algorithm consists of 4 steps: feature -based optical flow detection, camera orientation, 2D-image projection, and image registration in 3D space. All of the processes are fully automatic and successfully implemented and tested with real images.

  • This paper investigates the vibration behavior of pristine and defected triangular graphene sheets; which has recently attracted the attention of researchers and compare these two types in natural frequencies and sensitivity. Here, the molecular dynamics method has been employed to establish a virtual laboratory for this purpose. After measuring the different parameters obtained by the molecular dynamics approach, these data have been analyzed by using the frequency domain decomposition (FDD) method, and the dominant frequencies and mode shapes of the system have been extracted. By analyzing the vibration behaviors of pristine triangular graphene sheets in four cases (right angle of 45-90-45 configuration, right angle of 60-90-30 configuration, equilateral triangle and isosceles triangle), it has been demonstrated that the natural frequencies of these sheets are higher than the natural frequency of a square sheet, with the same number of atoms, by a minimum of 7.6% and maximum of 26.6%. Therefore, for increasing the resonance range of sensors based on 2D materials, nonrectangular structures, and especially the triangular structure, can be considered as viable candidates. Although the pristine and defective equilateral triangular sheets have the highest values of resonance, the sensitivity of defective (45,90,45) triangular sheet is more than other configurations and then, defective (45,90,45) sheet is the worst choice for sensor applications.

  • Traffic safety issues have recently been seriously magnified, due to child deaths in apartment complexes and parking lots. Accordingly, traffic safety technologies are being developed to recognize dangerous situations on living roads and to provide warning services. In this study, a collision detection algorithm was developed to prevent collision accidents between moving objects, by using object type and location information provided from CCTV monitoring devices. To determine the exact collision between moving objects, an object movement model was developed to predict the range of movement by considering the moving characteristics of the object, and a collision detection algorithm was developed to efficiently analyze the presence and location of the collision. The developed object movement model as well as the collision detection algorithm were simulated, in a virtual space of an actual living road to verify performance and derive supplementary matters.

  • Female breast cancer is the fifth highest cause of mortality. Breast cancer is the most prevalent type of cancer in women globally, while it can also affect men. STAT5A plays a role in its development and progression. Given that activation of STAT5a is frequently linked to the growth and progression of tumors, STAT5a has been identified as a possible target for the therapy of several cancers. STAT5A, in particular, has proven to be overexpressed in various breast cancer cell lines and tumors, and it has been associated to the promotion of tumour cell proliferation and survival. STAT5A inhibition has been shown in vitro and in vivo to reduce the development of breast cancer cells. As a result, we have screened compounds from the FDA database that might serve as potential inhibitors of STAT5a through virtual screening, docking, DFT and MD simulation approaches. The drug Nilotinib has shown promising results inhibiting STAT5a. Further, in-vitro analysis will be carried forward to understand the anti-cancer activity.

  • This paper proposes a confusion-line separating algorithm in a CIE Lab color space using color segmentation for protanopia and deuteranopia. Images are segmented into regions by grouping adjacent pixels with similar color information using the hue components of the images. To this end, the region growing method and the seed points used in this method are the pixels that correspond to peak points in hue histograms that went through a low pass filter. In order to establish a color vision deficiency (CVD) confusion line map, we established 512 virtual boxes in an RGB 3-D space so that boxes existing on the same confusion line can be easily identified. After that, we checked if segmented regions existed on the same confusion line and then performed color adjustment in an CIE Lab color space so that all adjacent regions exist on different confusion lines in order to provide the best color identification effect to people with CVDs.

  • The purpose of this research is to understand immersive media such as virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, 360-degree videos etc. from the perspective of user-based approach. 3D videos were once expected as the next-generation industry, but soon it further evolved into UHD and are now followed by immersive media represented by virtual reality. As the virtual reality plays an important role, the current research tries to bring up implications that can be applied to the industrial field along with academic understanding through six theoretical approaches related to virtual reality such as media richness, interactivity, presence, body-ownership, user experience, and visual perception. These six theories were used in immersive media studies such as 3D videos. Media richness and interactivity are the main factors forming positive or negative attitude, presence explains why users are immersed, user experience accounts for total psychological reaction, and visual perception explains how complex the experience of seeing is. Especially, although there is less media research applied, the body-ownership is likely to be not only used in virtual reality research, but immersive media research. The user-based theories related to virtual reality will provide various implications for immersive media researchers as well as hardware and content creators of virtual reality.
