간호대학생의 디지털 리터러시, 가상현실에 대한 인식 및 가상현실을 적용한 간호 교육 요구도 (The digital literacy, awareness, and educational needs of virtual reality among nursing students)

  • Purpose: This study's aim was to investigate digital literacy, awareness of virtual reality, and educational needs of virtual reality-based nursing education among nursing students. Methods: Structured self-reported questionnaires were used to measure the nursing students' digital literacy, awareness, and educational needs of virtual reality. This study was conducted on 162 nursing students in Seoul between December 13 and December 24, 2021. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA with SPSS/WIN 24.0. Results: The mean scores on digital literacy, awareness, and educational needs of virtual reality were 4.38±0.42, 4.71±0.64, and 4.08±0.61, respectively. Concerning the educational needs of the subjects, the need for safety education was the highest, followed by the need for oxygenation education, elimination education, and activity and exercise education. Significant relationships were found between digital literacy and the awareness of virtual reality (r=.34, p<.001), between digital literacy and the educational needs of virtual reality (r=.17, p=.028), and between awareness and the educational needs of virtual reality (r=.51, p<.001). Conclusion: This study suggests that it is necessary to develop a virtual reality-based nursing educational program that reflects the educational needs of nursing students.

  • Recently the number of lectures of offered as part of distance education courses is increasing due to the necessity of continuing education in this era of rapidly changing technologies. To promote this, Web-based distance education systems have been developed and put into practical use. To step further, we propose a virtual space, distance education platform called interactive virtual laboratory. The proposed system is expected to overcome many obstacles in performing the unit operations laboratory at the current setting. The server/client system implementation was programmed with ASP and Visual Basic. The availability of simple and efficient technological supports for dissemination and remote use of virtual lab systems supports more experimental practices regardless of the number of participating students and their locations. Variety of instruments, process equipments and lab procedures are being added to make it a complete package of virtual lab fur undergraduate unit operations course.

과학교육에서 가상현실 기법의 활용 모색 (Exploring Application Ways of Virtual Reality Technology in Science Education)

  • Virtual reality technology is very useful for the 21C science education, and is able to contribute to the development of new teaching and learning methods in science education. One of these computer-based technologies, virtual reality, is possible to use in many directions. It is a new communication medium that is receiving a lot of attention, and is usually identified by a collection of technological hardware. Virtual reality is defined as a highly interactive, computer-based, multimedia environment in which the user becomes the participant, with the computer in a virtual real world. A key feature of virtual reality is real-time interactivity, in that the computer is able to detect user inputs and instantaneously modify the virtual world. It is being used in a wide variety of fields including physics, chemistry, human biology, biomedical sciences, military, architecture, industry and the entertainment. In classroom, using science educational program developed by virtual reality technology can increase the interests of students, promote understanding of basic science concepts, help laboratory skills, and encourage creative learning for them.

An Integrated Model for Investigating the Impacts of Telepresence on Cultural Heritage Attachment in Virtual Museum

  • The purpose of our study is to examine the influence of telepresence on cultural heritage attachment in the context of virtual museum. We determined the effect of telepresence on visitors' aesthetic and educational experiences and how these experiences affect visitors' perceptions of virtual museum service value. Moreover, we investigate the effect of perceived virtual museum service value on museum attachment and cultural heritage attachment. A total of 143 visitors were sampled through an online survey focusing on Chinese virtual museum visitors. The results show that all the paths presented significant effects. Additionally, it was found that telepresence indirectly influences cultural heritage attachment through education experience and perceived virtual museum value. The theoretical and practical implications are also provided. An important implication is that online virtual museum is essential to raise visitors' education experience and their cultural heritage attachment. Thus, virtual museum should take initiative to enhance virtual reality to ensure traditional culture education and formation their cultural heritage attachment.

가상세계에서의 건강증진교육의 개념분석 (Health Promotion Education In A Virtual World: A Concept Analysis)

  • Purpose: Virtual worlds are emerging in health care as an innovative way of helping clients take responsibility for and promote their own care. Yet, the concept of health promotion education in this environment has not been elucidated. Therefore, we undertook a concept analysis to discover the underlying attributes and contextual basis to generate a conceptual understanding of virtual worlds in the context of health promotion education. Methods: Using Rodgers' evolutionary view of concept development, we analyzed literature on virtual worlds that describe their use to discover critical attributes, antecedents, and consequences of this phenomenon. Eleven studies matching inclusion criteria were reviewed. Results: Analysis of the literature highlighted three areas of important domains: user, simulated environment, and education. This concept analysis extends our understanding of a virtual world for health promotion education. Conclusion: This study may help anticipate future trends in the use of virtual worlds in the context of health promotion education, serving as a stepping-stone for further research on this aspect of the study. The next step should focus on the development of an evaluation tool that can measure the factors identified in this analysis to determine their effects on outcomes and environmental interactions.

Navigating the Transformative Landscape of Virtual Education Trends across India

  • Purpose: Education is the part of a fundamental human right across the world. In recent years, the trend of virtual education has increased tremendously. The paper aims to find the impact of adoption, accessibility, interactions, knowledge, and satisfaction on the success of transformation towards virtual education. Research design, data and methodology: Primary data has been gathered through the use of responses from students taking admission in virtual higher education to standardized questionnaires. Of the 250, only 122 were considered complete and have been used in further studies. Convinced random sampling method has been used. The results were evaluated using the Likert Five-Point Scale. For applying these statistical tools software SmartPLS and SPSS 19 have been used. The fitness of the model has been re-checked through an Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Result: Results derived that adoption, accessibility, and interactions have a significant impact on knowledge, knowledge influences satisfaction level and satisfaction have a meaningful impact on the success of transformation towards virtual education. Conclusion: It can be concluded that virtual education has the potential to change the future of the education system and its potential in India. The highest importance is due to satisfaction (100%), adoption (98.7%), knowledge (91.4%), accessibility (62%), and interaction (29.2%).

  • 첨단 IT 기술이 발달함에 따라 가상현실 기술이 빠르게 발달하고 있으며, 각 분야에서 가상현실 기술을 이용한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 가상현실을 활용한 분야로는 교육, 군사, 의료, 예술, 오락 등, 다양한 분야에서 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 가상현실기술을 기술교육분야에 적용하여 다양한 형태의 가상훈련 콘텐츠를 개발하였으며 개발된 가상훈련 콘텐츠들을 유형별 분류하고 그 특징과 효과를 비교하고 분석하였다. 또한 가상훈련 콘텐츠를 기술교육에 실제 활용한 사례를 유형별로 조사하여 가상훈련 콘텐츠의 교육적 효과를 확인하였다.

  • 안전 불감증으로 인해 많은 인재가 발생하고 있는 우리나라 상황에서는 재난이 발생했을 때 대응할 수 있는 재난 안전교육이 매우 중요하다. 최근 가상현실 디바이스 및 제작 기술이 발전하며, 안전교육 분야에서 가상현실 기술을 접목한 훈련시스템 활용의 가능성이 주목받고 있다. 가상훈련시스템은 몰입감이 뛰어나고 시공간의 제약없이 다양한 재난상황을 체험할 수 있어 훈련 및 교육에 매우 효과적이다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라 재난 안전 가상훈련 콘텐츠 사례들을 수집 조사하여 국내 재난안전 가상훈련 콘텐츠의 현황을 파악하고 분석하여 문제점을 도출하고 이에 대한 개선방안을 제안한다.

가상현실을 활용한 병영상담 실습교육 효과 연구 (A Study on the Effectiveness of Military Counseling Practice Education using Virtual Reality)

  • 본 연구는 군(軍)에서 적용하고 있는 병영상담교육의 현실태를 살펴보고 가상현실을 활용한 병영상담 실습교육의 효과를 연구하였다. 먼저 상담에 관련한 가상현실 적용사례를 탐색하고 육군 병영상담교육에 벤치마킹(Benchmarking)할 수 있는 가상현실 기술을 검토하여 적용이 가능한 기술에 대해 고찰하였으며 교육생을 대상으로 교육방법과 교육과정을 분류하여 현 교육의 만족도 측정을 통해 통계적 분석방법인 분산분석을 사용하여 차이를 검정하였다. 또한 가상현실 콘텐츠를 교육생에게 실제 경험하게 한 후 가상현실 기술이 적용된 실습교육효과를 도출하고 현재 실습교육과 차이를 T 검정으로 비교 분석하였다. 이어 전반적인 상황을 고려할 수 있는 전문가 집단을 대상으로 계층적 분석기법을 활용하여 가상현실을 활용한 실습교육의 효과에 대해 분석하여 연구의 신뢰성을 높였다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 가상현실 기술이 접목된 병영상담실습교육의 발전방안과 현(現) 병영상담교육의 보완사항을 정책적 시사점으로 제시하였다.

가상훈련 콘텐츠 보급기관 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement Plan of a Virtual Training Content Supply Institution)

  • 본 연구는 K대학교 온라인평생교육원이 보급하는 가상훈련 콘텐츠를 운영하는 기관의 교육형태, 교육현황을 파악하고 가상훈련 콘텐츠 보급기관의 역할 및 개선방안 등을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2020년 K대학교 온라인평생교육원이 보급한 가상훈련 콘텐츠를 운영하는 56개 기관을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 최종 응답한 44개 기관의 설문을 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가상훈련 운영기관의 교육형태는 가상훈련 교육매체는 PC를 활용, 활용한 콘텐츠 과정은 총 52과정, 교육형태는 이론+가상훈련 유형, 실습기간은 1-2주 기간을 가장 많이 적용하고 있다고 응답했다. 또한 교육현황을 살펴보니 가상훈련 대상은 주로 학생이며, 주로 기관 자체적으로 모집을 하며 운영규모는 1-20명, 개설 과정 수는 1-3개 정도, 담당 교·강사 수는 1-3명 정도라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 둘째, 가상훈련 콘텐츠 보급기관의 역할로 다양한 가상훈련 콘텐츠 개발과 가상훈련 교육과정 적용 및 활용방법 제시, 가상훈련 콘텐츠 질 제고 등이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 셋째, 가상훈련 콘텐츠 보급기관의 개선방안으로 가상훈련 콘텐츠 실무능력 연계 강화, 교·강사의 가상훈련 콘텐츠 활용교육, 다양한 가상훈련 콘텐츠 연계방안 제시, 가상훈련 콘텐츠 품질 관리 강화 등을 요구했다. 이에 본 연구는 가상훈련 콘텐츠 운영기관의 전반적 운영현황과 실태를 파악하고 공공 가상훈련 보급기관의 역할 정립 및 개선방안을 살펴보았다는데 의의가 있다.
