니키 드 생 팔의 트라우마를 통해 살펴본 아상블라주와 사격회화의 양면적 특성 (A Study on the Ambivalent Characteristic Displayed in Niki de Saint Phalle's Assemblages and Shooting Paintings by Looking Into Her Trauma)

  • The purpose of this study is to show that the reason behind the ambivalent characteristic displayed in Niki de Saint Phalle's works is in her trauma and how such characteristic can be extracted from her works. During her creative years, Saint Phalle worked on various materials from different genres such as assemblages, shooting paintings, a series on Bride and Monster, 'Nana', 'Tarot Garden'and public sculptures. One commonality found among her various works is the ambivalent characteristic that contains contrasting elements simultaneously. Saint Phalle suffered a terrible psychological damage inflicted by her parents during her childhood. Specifically, she was sexually assaulted by her father and emotionally neglected by her mother, the trauma that affected her for the rest of her life. As a result, she came to develop extreme love- hate relationships with her parents and this became the main reason for the ambivalent characteristic displayed in her works. The love-hate relationship Saint Phalle developed can be identified through various researches done on the subject of the affect of sexual assault. It is common for incest victims to develop ambivalent feelings towards the perpetrator and Saint Phalle was no exception. Dissociation disorder and a snake well explain the trauma from her father. It is a generally accepted belief in the field of psychology that dissociation disorder commonly occurs to children who experience incest. And dissociation disorder is similar to the characteristic of ambivalence in the sense that a single entity contains more than two contrasting elements at the same time. In addition, the amputated doll objects used in her assemblages coincide with the expression of body detachment of people with dissociation disorder. These facts clearly indicate that the trauma from her father is showing through in her works. A snake is a subject matter that reflects the ambivalent tendency of Saint Phalle that resulted from her trauma. She remembers her father's rape as an image of a snake which is related to a phallic symbol in mythology or art reflecting her trauma. Moreover, she displays a similar pattern of ambivalent emotion like love and hate or fear towards a snake and her father. This is also confirmed by her portrayal of a snake as a monster or reversely as a creature with fundamental vitality in her works. The lack of affection from her mother can be explained by her mother's maternal deprivation. It appears that Saint Phalle's mother possessed all the causes for maternal deprivation such as maternal separation, personality disorder and inappropriate attitude towards child rearing. Especially, a study that shows mother's negative attitude towards child breeding tends to increase dissociation experience of children is another important evidence that supports Saint Phalle's dissociation tendency. These traces of Saint Phalle's trauma are clearly revealed in her assemblages and shooting paintings. The violent objects in her assemblages such as a hammer, razor, nail represent the rage and defensiveness towards her father. The objects such as fragments of broken plates of feminine patterns, pots and mirrors that her mother used symbolize the affection towards her mother. On the other hand, the destructed objects can be interpreted as her hate and resentment towards her mother. Shooting paintings contain her extreme fury and hate. Things such as acts of shooting and the image associated with blood after shooting are blunt expressions of her bursts of emotions. I have tried to define and classify the ambivalent characteristics shown in her assemblages and shooting paintings as hate, rage, violence, calm, love and pleasure according to the frame of Thanatos and Eros. Out of the six, hate, rage, violence and clam are associated with Thanatos while love and pleasure are associated with Eros and they correspondingly form an ambivalent structure. These ambivalent characteristics can be found in her assemblages and shooting paintings. The objects in her assemblages such as a razor, saw, hammer imply hate, rage, violence and the silence felt throughout her works represent calmness. And, as mentioned, the feminine objects can be seen as symbolizing love. In shooting paintings, hate, rage, violence can be found in the use of force and in the traces of watercolor after shooting, and a sense of pleasure in her feelings of catharsis after her shooting. Moreover, a shielded calmness can be found on the plywood all covered with plaster before the shooting. This study looked into the ambivalent characteristic of Saint Phalle's works by examining her trauma to find its correlation, and a meaning of this study can be found from the fact that it refocused the origin of Saint Phalle who is generally known as a feminist artist. Additionally, a meaning of the study can be found also from the fact that it examined the ambivalent characteristics of her works through a frame of Thanatos and Eros.

한국 청소년의 성희롱 관련요인에 대한 조사연구 (The Study on the Variable related to the Sexual Harassment among the Korean Adolescents)

  • Recently in Korea, the adolescents' sexual problems including sexual violence have increased, and those phenomena have escalated to be one of the major social issues. This study was conducted to identify the variables related to the sexual harassments of the Korean adolescents. The variables to which the subjects belong were gender, school grade, religion, extracurricular activity, amount of pocket money, school performance traffic mean to school, ownership of PC, internet contact frequency and place, contact to pornography, heterosexual friend, drinking, and smoking. The period of survey was from July 2000 to Dec. 2000. The subjects were 475 middle and high-schoolers in Busan and Kyung-Nam. The instrument to measure sexual harassments of the subjects was questionnaire. That was gained by modifying the three patterns(physical, verbal and visual) in the manual provide by the Ministry of Labor(1999). The degree of sexual harassments was measured by 4-point Likert scale. The collected data was analyzed with t-test and ANOVA by SPSS win(10.0). The findings were as follows ;1. The variables related to the physical harassment were gender, age, pocket money, perceived school performance, traffic means, contact to pornography, having heterosexual friend, experience of drinking and smoking.2. The variables related to the visual harassments were gender, age, perceived school performance, traffic mean, internet contact, contact to pornography, having heterosexual friend, experience of drinking & smoking.3. The variables related to the verbal harassments were gender, age, pocket money, perceived school performance, traffic mean, internet contact, contact to pornography, having heterosexual friend, and experience of drinking & smoking.

청소년의 가출 경험 여부가 성 피해 경험에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Runaway Experience on Sexual Victimization in Adolescents)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of runaway experience on sexual victimization in adolescents. Methods: The data of the Korean Survey on the Rights of Youth and Children (2016) were used. A total of 7,114 middle and high school students were included in the analysis. Descriptive statistics, a $x^2$ test, and multiple logistic regression analysis were conducted using SAS 9.3. Results: About 3.8% of the total students had run away from home before and 4.1% of the students experienced sexual victimization. The results from the multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that adolescents who had run away from home before showed a higher risk of being sexually victimized (AOR: 1.76, 95% CI: 1.13~2.72). Lower economic status (AOR: 1.42, 95% CI: 1.03~1.97), suicidal ideation (AOR: 1.80, 95% CI: 1.37~2.38), depressive feelings (AOR: 1.36, 95% CI: 1.04~1.78), victims of violence by teachers (AOR: 1.56, 95% CI: 1.20~2.03), victims of off-line school bullying (AOR: 5.00, 95% CI: 3.56~7.01), victims of on-line bullying (AOR: 2.61, 95% CI: 1.79~2.80), and victims of both on- and off-line bullying (AOR: 6.62, 95% CI: 4.76~9.22) showed a highest risk of being sexually victimized. Conclusion: Therefore, in order to lower the rate of experiencing sexual victimization in youths, measures should be taken to keep them from running away from home. In addition, if necessary, measures should be taken to prevent secondary mental traumas that may arise from the experience of sexual victimization.

수감되어 있는 성폭력 가해자의 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구 (A Phenomenological Study on Experience of Sexual Offender in Prison)

  • 본 연구는 교도소와 치료감호소에 수감되어 있는 성폭력 가해자의 경험에 대한 연구로서 이론적으로는 성폭력 가해자의 경험의 본질구조를 살펴보고자 했고 실천적으로는 성폭력 가해자들의 재범을 막고 치료적 감호프로그램을 제공하기 위한 사회복지실천 개입의 근거 자료를 구축하고자 했다. 연구는 Van-Manen(1990)의 분석틀을 원용하여 해석학적 현상학적 방법으로 수행했고 연구에는 7명의 성폭력 가해자가 참여했다. 자료는 심층면담으로 수집했으며 해석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 여론의 피해자라는 인식, 카인의 표식, 견본생활(show window)로 인한 성찰기회의 상실, 구별짓기(distinction)를 통한 집단차별화, 허물을 벗고자 하는 형이상학적 존재의 발현, 과학적 관리기술의 역이용, 상상계(the Imaginary)로부터의 미분화(undifferentiation), 도치된 소통으로 나타난 성행위, 통제받음의 반동형성으로서 지배영역을 찾음, 아동의 성마저 상품화하는 자본주의 속성에서 자유로울 수 없음, 성정체성 사회화과정에서의 왜곡, 억눌린 욕망의 화신으로 각인된 부상, 상실된 어머니의 순결성 회복, 산산이 부서진 이름으로서의 가족 등으로 나타났다.

중학생의 가족식사횟수에 따른 식생활 지침 실천도, 정서지능, 회복탄력성 및 폭력성 분석 (Analysis of the Dietary Guidelines Practice, Emotional Intelligence, Resilience and Violence According to Family Meal Frequency of Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구에서는 중학생의 가족식사 및 혼밥 실태를 알아보고, 가족식사횟수에 따라 식생활 지침 실천도와 정서지능, 회복탄력성 및 폭력성에 유의적 차이가 있는지를 알아보았다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 대구지역 중학생을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 통하여 수집된 241개의 자료를 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS(v25.0)프로그램을 활용하여 빈도, 백분율, 표준편차, 신뢰도, 일원분산분석(one-way ANOVA), Duncan검증을 실행하였다. 중학생의 가족식사횟수에 따라 식생활 지침 실천도, 정서지능, 회복탄력성에 유의적 차이가 있는지 분석한 결과, 가족식사횟수가 많을수록 식생활 지침 실천도, 정서지능, 회복탄력성이 유의적으로 높게 나타났다. 본 연구 결과에 따른 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족식사 집단은 혼밥 집단에 비해 식생활 지침실천도, 정서지능, 회복탄력성이 유의적으로 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 이에 따라 가족식사횟수를 늘리기 위해 개인적 노력 및 사회·제도적 장치의 마련이 적극적으로 요구된다. 둘째, 2015 개정 교육과정에서 요구하는 핵심역량 중 일부는 정서지능 및 회복탄력성의 하위영역과 의미적으로 일치하고 있고, 이는 중학생의 가족식사경험이 핵심역량의 함양과도 관련이 있음을 예측할 수 있다. 즉 가족식사횟수를 늘리는 것은 교육의 시대적 흐름에 부응하는 것이고, 특히 인성교육을 위해 요구되는 것이다.

대학생의 자기주장과 성폭력 피해에서 폭음의 조절역할 (The Moderating Role of Binge Drinking on the Self-Assertiveness-Sexual Victimization Relationship among College Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 자기 주장성과 폭음 수준이 성폭력 피해를 예측하는지 알아보았고, 폭음 수준이 자기 주장성과 성폭력 피해 여부 간에 조절 역할을 하는지 탐색해 보았다. 대학생 405명이 연구에 참여하였고 익명성 보장을 위해 모바일 기반 설문 응답을 사용하였다. 설문지에 응답하지 않은 12명의 참여자를 제외한 393명(남: 161명, 여: 232명)의 자료를 분석하였다. 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통하여 자기 주장성, 폭음 수준, 자기 주장성과 폭음의 상호작용을 예측 변인으로, 성폭력 피해여부를 기준 변인으로 설정하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 자기 주장성과 폭음 수준이 성폭력 피해 확률을 유의하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 자기 주장성 수준이 낮을수록, 폭음 수준이 높을수록 성폭력 피해 확률이 유의함을 나타냈다. 또한 자기 주장성과 폭음의 상호작용이 성폭력 피해 확률을 유의하게 예측하였다. 상호작용에 대한 단순 주 효과 분석을 실시한 결과 폭음 수준이 낮은 집단의 경우 자기 주장성이 성폭력 피해 확률을 유의하게 예측한 반면, 폭음 수준이 높은 집단의 경우 자기 주장성이 성폭력 피해 확률을 유의하게 예측하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 대학생의 성폭력 피해 예방을 위한 프로그램 적용 시 자기 주장성 훈련만이 아니라 건전한 음주 교육이 병행되어야 할 것을 제안하였다.

5·18민주화운동 참여자의 80년 5월 이후 삶과 증언치료 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구 (Phenomenological Study on the Victim's Life after May 18 1980 and the Experience of Testimony Therapy)

  • 본 연구는 5·18민주화운동 관련자의 트라우마를 치유하기 위해 실시한 증언치료를 통해 국가폭력의 후유증 실태와 치유의 의미를 탐색한 연구이다. 5·18을 개인에게 파국적인 영향을 미친 '트라우마'의 관점으로 바라보고 그 후유증이 당시 참여자들의 삶에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 80년 5월에 시민군으로 참여하고 이후 고문과 구속·수감 등을 경험한 당사자 4명이 광주트라우마센터의 증언치료에서 진술한 내용을 분석하였다. 또한 이들의 증언치료 경험 및 그 과정에서 보여준 청중들과의 상호 작용을 통해 국가폭력으로 인한 트라우마를 치유하는데 중요한 요소가 무엇인지 확인하였다. 연구 참여자들의 치유과정에서의 진술을 분석한 결과 19개의 주제에서 7개의 중심의미가 도출되었다. 트라우마의 후유증과 관련한 중심의미는 '반복되는 고통', '사회·경제적 피해', '고립 및 단절', '고통의 세대 전이' 등 4개로 나타났고, 치유의 경험은 '안전', '연결을 통한 치유', '산자로서 의무' 등 3개의 중심의미로 나타났다. 연구결과에 기초하여 국가폭력으로 인한 트라우마의 특징을 살펴보고, 치유를 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.

일반긴장이론에 근거한 청소년의 자살성 남녀 비교 : 서대문구 중학생을 중심으로 (Gender Differences of Adolescent Suicidality: Focused on the General Strain Theory)

  • 본 연구는 청소년 자살성(suicidality)의 성별차이를 일반긴장이론(general strain theory)에 근거하여 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 서울시 서대문구 3개 중학교 학생 819명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후 t-test와 로지스틱 회귀분석(logistic regression)을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 관계적 긴장에 해당하는 아버지의 학대 피해와 학교폭력 피해는 남자 중학생의 경험이 유의미하게 더 많았다. 둘째, 자살성에 영향을 미치는 요인에서 남자 중학생은 지위적 긴장에 해당하는 경제적 상황이, 여자 중학생은 관계적 긴장 요인에 해당하는 아버지의 비신체적 학대 피해가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 비신체적 학교폭력 피해는 남녀 모두의 자살성에 유의미한 영향요인이었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 중학생의 주요 생활환경인 가정과 학교에서의 사회복지적 접근을 통해 남자 중학생의 지위적 특성과 여자 중학생의 관계적 특성에 주목한 개입이 이루어져야 하며 학교사회복지사 및 관련기관의 네트워크가 필요함을 제시하였다.

다문화가정 청소년과 한국문화가정 청소년의 정서 특성 (Emotional Characteristics of Adolescents in Monocultural and Multicultural Families in Korea)

  • Objectives: We aimed to compare the smoking behaviors in adolescents from monocultural and multicultural families and to evaluate the associations between their smoking behavior and number of suicide attempts. Methods: The data used in this study was collected from The Tenth Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey. The differences in the sociodemographic characteristics between the adolescents in the multicultural and monocultural families were analyzed through the ${\chi}^2$-test, and a logistic regression was conducted to evaluate the relationships between the smoking behavior and number of suicide attempts of the adolescents in multicultural families. The process involved an analysis using a complex sample design. Results: There was significant difference in the weighted rates of the current smoking behavior (13.3% vs. 8.4%, p<0.001), experience of violence (6.8% vs. 2.3%, p<0.001), and number of suicide attempts (5.4% vs. 2.7%, p<0.001) between the adolescents from the multicultural and monocultural families. In both groups, the current smoking behavior was associated with the number of suicide attempts (multicultural families OR=6.5, p=0.005; monocultural families OR=1.5, p<0.001). Conclusion: Our results showed that the percentage of current smokers in the adolescents from multicultural families was higher than that in the monocultural families and that current smoking behavior is related to the number of suicide attempts in both groups, after adjustment for age, sex, socioeconomic status, academic achievement, current smoking behavior, depressive mood and experience of violence.

지방소재 중 . 고등학생들의 학교주변 유해환경에 대한 인지도 조사연구 (A Study on rural middle and high school students' Recognition Degree of harmful environment around Schools)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data for establishing school education environment protection measures, on the basis of comparing and analyzing the realities and students' recognition degree of the environment and hygiene around the middle and high schools located in the rural areas. These study data were investigated by the self-administered questionnaires, taking as subject the 805 students in the middle and high schools located rural areas. And the results were as follows: First, as the result of having investigated the distribution degree of harmful environment within the purification zone around schools, it was found out that students responded: within the purification zone around the middle school, there were cartoon rooms (46.2%), electronic game rooms (45.9%), and singing rooms (45.0%). within the purification zone around the high school, there were electronic game rooms (46.3%), singing rooms (42.3%), billiard halls (41.4%), PC rooms (40.1 %), and Soju-room (35.2%). Secondly, as having analyzed student's recognition degree of the harmful environment around the school, it was found out that middle school students responded that sexual utensils-treating shops (3.74 points) were most harmful, and next corrupted bathhouses (3.52 points), and Soju-room (3.47 points), and high school students also responded relating to harmfulness in a similar sequence. Thirdly, in case of students' recognition degree of the harmful environment around the school according to general characteristics, 1) girl students had a higher ratio of recognition that the environment around the school was harmful than boy students (p〈0.001). 2) groups of students whose living standard was high had a higher ratio of recognition that the environment around the school was harmful than groups of students whose living standard was low (p〈0.05). 3) groups of students whose school was located near the park or the residential street had a higher degree of recognition that the environment around the school was harmful than groups of students whose school was located near the factory or the shopping area (p〈0.01). 4) groups of students whose school was located near the park or the residential street had a higher degree of recognition that the environment around the school was harmful than groups of students whose school was located near the amusement area or the shopping area (p〈0.05). Fourthly, 1) relating to the harmful shops where they experienced most highly the behavior of drinking and smoking, middle school students responded that they did so in the electronic game room (22.5%) and high school students did so in the singing room (31.4%), and high school students had a very high experience ratio of drinking and smoking, compared with middle school students (p〈0.001). 2) relating to the harmful shops where they could get in contact with lewd articles, both of middle school students (5.3%) and high school students (8.3%) responded that they could do so in the video room. 3) relating to the harmful shops where they experienced unsound opposite sex acquaintance, both of middle school students (5.8%) and high school students (16.6%) responded that they did so most highly in hotels, and high school students had a remarkably high experience ratio of unsound opposite sex acquaintance, compared with middle school students (p〈0.05). 4) relating to the harmful shops where they experienced violence, middle school students responded that they did so in the electronic game room (14.0%) and then in the singing room (3.7%), and high school students responded that they did so in the electronic game room (9.3%), the nightclub (4.6%), Soju-room (4.1 %), and high school students had a remarkably high experience ratio of violence, compared with middle school students (p〈0.05). 5) relating to the harmful places where they experienced drugs both of middle school students (0.8%) and high school students (2.4%) responded that they did so in the hotels. Fifthly, when going to the harmful shops, students had the experience of being guided and regulated roughly 1 time - 2 times, and middle school students (16.4%) and high school students (16.7%) had almost similar experience ratios of being guided and regulated. Conclusively, there was a limit in controlling the environment and purification zone only by legal regulations and institutional controls, the self-control purification effort for the school and the surrounding environment was required greatly, in order to protect students from harmful environment. In addition, the constant study to establish the educational environment purification measures must be carried out.
