RS(23,17) 리드-솔로몬 복호기 설계 (Design of a RS(23,17) Reed-Solomon Decoder)

  • 본 논문에서는 MB-OFDM(Multiband-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 시스템에서 사용되는 RS(23,17) 부호에 대한 복호기의 최적 구조를 제안하고, 설계하였다. 제안된 복호기 구조는 파이프 라인 구조를 갖는 수정된 유클리드(Modified Euclidean) 알고리즘을 사용하며, MB-OFDM 시스템에 최적화되어 작은 복호 지연(latency) 및 하드웨어 복잡도를 가진다. 제안된 복호기는 Verilog HDL을 사용하여 구현되었고, 삼성 65nm library를 이용하여 합성하였다. 350MHz로 합성했을 때 timing violation이 발생하지 않았기 때문에, 실제 ASIC을 제작해도 250MHz까지 동작하며, gate count는 20,710로 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the vocabulary related to safety accidents based on the reports recorded on the violation of safety rules at the construction sites. We used Word2Vec and Topic Model as natural language processing techniques to analyze the safety accidents presented in the reports of the large enterprise. The words that appeared based on the occupational accident types such as the fall, falling objects, and others were derived and visualized. We derive the frequency and similarity of the words and topics of the accident that occur at the construction site. In future studies, we will be able to proceed with the generation of texts from pictures based on images and this reports.

도시철도 기관사조직의 안전리더십과 관련요인 간의 인과관계 구조분석 (A Structural Analysis of Causality between Safety Leadership and Related Factors in the Metro Driver Organization)

  • This study highlights the theme of safety leadership in railway organization, conducting empirical analysis on the relationship between safety climates, safety leadership, safety behavior, and accident. The empirical test results based on questionnaires received from 223 train drivers working at A subway firm indicated that relationship between CEO's safety philosophy, and safety communication showed a significant positive effect on boss's safety leadership. And boss's safety leadership showed a positive influence on observation belonging to safety behavior, which in turn showed a significant negative relationship with mistake. However, mistake, observation and violation were shown that there are no relationship with accidents.

  • A few thermodynamics texts are commonly found to have unrealistic example problems in which the process violates the second law of thermodynamics. This error would result from presentation order in the text which introduces first the first law for cycles, systems, and control volumes and then the second law later. In the presentation order, the example problems deal only with the first law without telling whether the process violates the second law. To correct this erroneous situation, it could be recommended to present the first law and the second law successively so that both laws could be applied simultaneously to the given example problems.

  • 본 논문은 멀티스레드를 지원하는 항공기 소프트웨어에 적용될 수 있는 자율수리 도구의 문제의 해결방법을 제안하는 논문이다. 기존의 연구는 프로그램의 반복수행을 통해 안전한 인터리빙을 수집하여 프로그램의 동작을 제한한다. 하지만 테스트 단계에서 수집되지 않은 안전한 인터리빙을 잘못된 인터리빙으로 처리하여 수리를 수행함으로써 불필요한 오버헤드가 발생한다. 본 논문은 원자성위배 패턴을 사용하여 안전한 인터리빙을 예측하여 생성시키는 기법을 사용하여 수리기법에서 불필요한 수리로 인한 오버헤드를 감소하기 위한 안전한 인터리빙 정보를 생성하는 기법을 제안한다.

Wavelet-Based Digital Image Watermarking by Using Lorenz Chaotic Signal Localization

  • Transmitting visual information over a broadcasting network is not only prone to a copyright violation but also is a forgery. Authenticating such information and protecting its authorship rights call for more advanced data encoding. To this end, electronic watermarking is often adopted to embed inscriptive signature in imaging data. Most existing watermarking methods while focusing on robustness against degradation remain lacking of measurement against security loophole in which the encrypting scheme once discovered may be recreated by an unauthorized party. This could reveal the underlying signature which may potentially be replaced or forged. This paper therefore proposes a novel digital watermarking scheme in temporal-frequency domain. Unlike other typical wavelet based watermarking, the proposed scheme employed the Lorenz chaotic map to specify embedding positions. Effectively making this is not only a formidable method to decrypt but also a stronger will against deterministic attacks. Simulation report herein highlights its strength to withstand spatial and frequent adulterations, e.g., lossy compression, filtering, zooming and noise.

Overview of the Korean Neutrino Observatory

  • Korean Neutrino Observatory (KNO) aims to make important discoveries in particle physics and astronomy by building a gigantic neutrino telescope consisting of 260 kiloton water and 40,000 20 inch photomultiplier tubes. Using J-PARC neutrino beam, leptonic CP violation (CPV) could be discovered if the CP is maximally violated, and neutrino mass ordering is guaranteed to be determined with more than 6 sigma for any CPV value. As a neutrino telescope, solar and Supernova burst/relic neutrinos could be studied very precisely. Indirect dark matter search sensitivity is improved by 3 to 4 times than that of Super Kamiokande. There are several candidate sites in Korea and especially Mt. Bisul and Mt. Bohyun are very promising according to our site survey. In this talk, an overview of the KNO is presented.

제주의 의료분쟁판례분석 (Analysis of medical disputes in Jeju)

  • Medical disputes can always arise in the medical environment. We aimed to decrease the medical disputes by analysis for causes and results of cases of medical disputes. The cases of medical dispute were found on the homepage of the Supreme Court based on the judgment data which was searched using the keyword 'Jeju, Medical accident' and it was described as the area related to each medical accident. There was total of 13 cases related medical disputes in Jeju. The final states of the patients were different in each causes, but death accounted for 10 cases (76.92%), comatose state for one and disability for two respectively. The cases were 2 related with an injury from a fall. The major cause was violation of medical care obligation. Physician have to learn recent medical knowledge, have competence, and explain the detailed procedures and complications before the procedures dependent on patient autonomy.

등방성 판의 동적 변분-점근적 해석 (A Dynamic Variational-Asymptotic Procedure for Isotropic Plates Analysis)

  • The present paper aims to set forth a two-dimensional theory for the dynamics of plates that is valid over a large range of excitation. To construct a dynamic plate theory within the long-wavelength approximation, two dimensional-reduction procedures must be used for analyzing the low- and high-frequency behaviors under the dynamic variational-asymptotic method. Moreover, a separate and logically independent step for the short-wavelength regime is introduced into the present approach to avoid violation of the positive definiteness of the derived energy functional and to facilitate qualitative description of the three-dimensional dispersion curve in the short-wavelength regime. Two examples are presented to demonstrate the capabilities and accuracy of all of the formulas derived herein by using various dispersion curves through comparison with the three-dimensional finite element method.

A Study on Correlation Analysis of Smart Phone Addiction and Age Groups in Korea

  • As information and communication technology develops, it brings various benefits to our lives. However, information and communication technology has had various side effects in our lives. Representative side effects include internet addiction, smartphone addiction, copyright violation, personal information infringement, cyber bullying and hacking. Recently, smart phone addiction rate is increasing with the spread of smart devices in Korea. In this study, we analyze the correlation between age group and smartphone addiction. In order to obtain fair and objective results, statistical analysis was performed based on the national statistical data of the National Information Society Agency. The results showed that the infant group and the adult group were correlated with the smartphone addiction rate. In this study, we analyzed the causes of smartphone addiction for different age groups. We also discuss dangers of smartphone addiction for different age groups. In additions, we proposed various ways to prevent and cure smartphone addiction for infants, adults, and senior citizen group. The results of this study are expected to be widely used as a remedy for smartphone addiction and future smartphone addiction research works.
