  • The purpose of this paper is to clarify the naming creation process of cultural contents based on the violation of selectional restrictions. This is to insist that the violation of selectional restrictions should be significantly considered as a mode of story planning and title naming in the cultural contents such as 'King and the Clown' and 'Ballerina Who Loves B-Boy'. This approach of selectional restrictions is based on the insistence of Chomsky's 'Aspects of the Theory of Syntax' in 1965. His idea had proposed that violation of linguistic rules affects the acceptability in the selectional properties of words and sentences. This focuses on the naming creation of cultural contents by widening his notion between selectional restrictions and the violation of selectional restrictions.

  • Objective: This study analyzed the compliance situation of class rules for 3-year olds in the Wisdom class at Sarang kindergarten. Methods: Research participants were composed of 17 young children and two teachers in the wisdom class for 3-year-olds and data collection and analysis were conducted by participant observation using the qualitative method. Results: Research results were as follows. The compliance situation of class rules included compliance, violation, and among compliance and violation. First, compliance was divided into compliance with assistance and self compliance. Compliance with assistance is for young children to follow the rules under the guidance, help, and instructions of teachers. Self compliance is for children to understand and follow the rules themselves. Second, Between compliance and violation is conflict of the rules created by different standards of class rules. Third, depending on who found the violation, violation was classified into teacher discovery, peer discovery, and acquiescence. The teacher discovery led to teacher guidance and teacher acquiescence, The peer discovery led to peer notification, peer resistance, peer punishment, and peer acquiescence. Conclusion/Implications: By looking at the compliance situation of class rules for three-year-olds, the educational implications of how to guide class rules were obtained for children.

  • With side effects such as Phishing and Spam using personal information in Social Network Service, there is a growing need for studies related to harmful behaviors such as the reason for privacy violation. As such, this study assumed privacy violation to be ethical decision, making behavior and used the Theory of Planned Behavior and Motivation Theory, which are mostly used in social science to identify the factors affecting privacy violation. The results suggested that the Perceived Enjoyment and Punishment used in motivation studies affected privacy violation behaviors, and that the factors of the Theory of Planned Behavior such as Attitude toward Privacy Violation, Subjective Norms of Privacy Violation, and Perceived Behavioral Control with regard to Privacy Violation significantly influenced the Intention to Privacy Violation. On the other hand, Perceived Curiosity and Subjective Norms of Privacy Violation did not affect the Intention to Privacy Violation. Therefore, this study confirmed that the Theory of Planned Behavior was appropriate to explain the Intention to Privacy Violation, and that the variables of the Motivation Theory generally influenced the Attitude toward Privacy Violation. This study was significant since it extended the scope of theoretical privacy study from users and victims centered to inflictor and applied the Extended Theory of Planned Behavior using the variables of the Motivation Theory in the study of Intention to Privacy Violation. From the practical aspect, it provided the ground for privacy education based on the fact that the Attitude toward Privacy Violation can be curbed when education on the Privacy Concerns, Perceived Enjoyment, and Punishment with regard to privacy is strengthened. It also cited the need for the punishment of privacy violation and the practical ground to amend the terms and conditions of user license and Personal Information Protection Act to provide policy support.

  • Factors causing traffic accidents are various and traffic law violations can be among them. The efforts to increase traffic law obedience rates of drivers are common in many other countries to reduce traffic accidents, and one of generally applied methods is to increase the amounts of violation fines. Expensive levels of traffic law violation fines could have drivers choose "obey the law" in their decision-making stages since they are economically better-off by following the law. In this sense, this study has developed an economic model to verify whether the current levels of the traffic violation fines of Korea are effective for drivers to choose "obey-the-law" decisions. Speed violations and traffic signal violations have been selected for the case study to verify the relationships between "expected probabilities of being-caught" and "levels of violations fines".

  • Comprehensive bans on tobacco advertising and promotion were introduced through tobacco control legislation in Viet Nam, but it has been established that violations of the bans are very common. This study was conducted to explore the trend in violations of bans on tobacco advertising and promotion at points of sale in Viet Nam in the past six years and to explore any differences in the violation situations before and after the Law on Tobacco Control came into effect on 1st May 2013. Quantitative data were collected through observation of violations of the bans on tobacco advertising and promotion at points of sale in 10 provinces throughout Viet Nam in four survey rounds (2009, 2010, 2011, and 2015). Variation in violation prevalence over time was examined by chi-square test using a Bonferini method. Binary logistic regression was employed to identify the factors that may have influences on different types of violation. A level of significance of p<0.05 was used for all tests in this article. The most common form of violation was the display of more than one pack/one carton of a cigarette brand. Violation of bans on tobacco advertising increased while violations on promotion ban and on displaying tobacco decreased through time. Some factors associated with the tobacco advertising and promotion bans included surveyed years, types of points of sale, regions and areas where the points of sale were located. The enforcement of the bans did not improve even after the issuance and the enactment of the Law on Tobacco Control. This suggests that the monitoring and enforcement of bans on tobacco advertising and promotion at points of sale should be strengthened. Penalties should be strictly applied for violators as indicated in the current tobacco control legislation.

  • In this paper, we suggest a system of detecting a vehicle with lane violation, which can detect the vehicle with lane violation, by using the feature point tracking. The whole algorithm in the suggested system of detecting a vehicle with lane violation is composed of three stages such as feature extraction, register and tracking in feature for the tracking-targeted vehicle, and detecting a vehicle with lane violation. In the stage of feature extraction, the feature is extracted from the inputted image by sing the feature-extraction algorithm available for the real-time processing. The extracted features are again selected the racking-targeted feature. The registered feature is tracked by using NCC(normalized cross correlation). Finally, whether or not lane violation is finally detected by using information on the tracked features. As a result of experimenting the suggested system by using the acquired image in the section with a ban on intervention, the excellent performance was shown with 99.09% for positive recognition ratio and 0.9% for error ratio. The fast processing speed could be obtained in 34.48 frames per second available for real-time processing.

  • PURPOSES : This study deals with first traffic violations occurred by novice drivers, which may be associated with traffic accidents. The objective of this study is to identify what kinds of drivers' characteristics influence on duration till the first traffic violation. METHODS : For the study, Survival Analysis and Cox proportional hazard model, that are usually used in the medical field, were employed. Survival Analysis was conducted to investigate whether there exist differences in survival duration by each covariate, whereas Cox proportional hazard model was used to identify significant factors that affect survival duration till novice drivers violate traffic regulations for the first time after getting a driver license. RESULTS : The results of Survival Analysis indicate that female, age (less than 21), low-frequency examinee of written exam, and non-crash involved drivers have longer duration till the first violation compared to male, greater than 21 years old, high-frequency examinee of written exam, and crash involved drivers, respectively. For the Cox proportional hazard model, license class 1 acquisitor was found to increase the survival duration till the first traffic violation was made, while male, age of 21-24, age of 25-34, age of 45-54, and crash involved drivers were more likely to reduce the survival duration. CONCLUSIONS : Absolutely, traffic violation is closely related to traffic accidents and all of the drivers should keep the traffic regulations to enhance highway safety. The results of this study might provide some insights to construct safe road environments by controlling the factors that reduce the traffic violation duration of novice drivers.

  • When an accident occurs, the associated human activity is typically regarded as a "human error," or a temporal deviation. On the other hand, if the accident results in a serious loss or if it evokes a social issue, the person determined to be responsible may be punished with a "violation" of related laws or regulations. However, as Heinrich stated, it is neither appropriate nor reasonable in terms of probability theory and cognitive science to distinguish whether it is a "human error" or a "violation" with a criterion of resultant accident severity. Nonetheless, some in society get on the social climate to strengthen regulations on workers who have caused accidents, especially violations. This response can present a social issue due to the lack of systematic judgment procedure which distinguishes violations from human errors. The purpose of this study was to develop an objective and systematic procedure to assess whether workers' activities which induced industrial accidents should be categorized as violations rather than human errors. Various analysis techniques for the determination of violation procedure were investigated and compared using an analysis approach method. An appropriate technique was not found, however, for judging the culpability of intentional violations. As an alternative, this study developed the process of creating violations, based on cognitive procedure, as well as the criteria to determine and categorize an activity as a violation. In addition, the developed procedure was applied to cases of industrial accidents and nuclear power plant issues to test its practical applicability. The study demonstrated that the proposed model could be used to determine the existence of a violation even in the case of multiple workers who work simultaneously.

  • The concept of school violation has become today the key word in the korean society. The educational journalist started to debate gravely the seriousness of the problem from the early 1990. But with the time, the aspect of school violation has been varied and deteriorated. So, many people say this is not the problem that the only school and the local society have to deal with, but the one that the entire national authority has to do. This movement had the national assembly make the law and alternative instrument of national dimension. However, in spite of various alternative of school, society and government, it is not only the case that the aspect of school violation have been ferocious and organized, but also that assailant and victim has moved from middle and high school student to elementary school student. According to recent researches, the sacrificed children who have experienced the violation, have possibility that they could be assailant as much as their agony. It is therefore very important to construct the program which will prevent the violation of elementary school student. In oder to this purposes, I will firstly try to illuminate the concept of Lacan's subject, secondly to analyze the aspects and the causes of school violation, thirdly to dispute the main alternatives presented to prevent the school violation, lastly to construct a new program in terms of constructivist disciple, psychoanalytic moral education that will prevent elementary school student from causing violence.

  • This study was to examine the effect of job insecurity on their psychological contract violation and job satisfaction among airline crew members. Also, this study intended to give meaningful hint in reducing job insecurity crew members feel, and, by examining ways to relieve psychological contract violation, give theoretical and practical suggestions on human resource management of airlines. The findings from empirical analysis are as follows. First, H 1-1 that job insecurity of airline cabin crew members will have positive effect on their transactional psychological contract violation was adopted. Second, H 1-2 that job insecurity of airline cabin crew members will have positive effect on their relational psychological contract violation was adopted. Third, H 2-1 that transactional psychological contract violation of airline cabin crew members will have negative effect on their job satisfaction was adopted. In contrast, H 2-2 that relational psychological contract violation of airline cabin crew members will have negative effect on their job satisfaction was rejected. Finally, H 3 that job insecurity of airline cabin crew members will have negative effect on their job satisfaction was adopted.
