The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of gender equality consciousness on view of marriage and children in university students. Research tools used questionnaires to understand the level of gender equality consciousness, view on marriage and children. Participants were 205 university students in S city and analysis by frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression using SPSS 28.0 program. The gender equality consciousness appeared as an average of 4.23 points and female students were higher than male students. Gender equality consciousness was negatively correlated with view on marriage and children. Gender equality consciousness in home living life area affected the views on marriage and children. This means that the higher than the higher the sense of gender equality in home living life area, the view on marriage and children was more liberal. To form a positive view of marriage and children of university students, balanced education programs between men and women for gender equality are needed.
The purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between family stress and adaptation in families with a disabled child through literature review using McCubbin's Double ABCX family crisis framework. The literature review focused on (1) family stress and factors affecting family stress, (2) the critical individual, familial and social resources which families acquire and employ over time in managing crisis situation. (3) the changes in definition and meaning families develop in an effort to make sense out of their predicament. (4) the coping strategies families employ. and (5) the range of outcomes of these family efforts The results showed that families reported financial difficulties and the burden of care-giving demands as major family stressors. Siblings of disabled children manifested depressive symptoms and social isolation. but was not consistent study results. The parents' views of the cause of the disabling condition fundamentally affected their behavior toward their disabled child. Especially. the fathers' views of the child's characteristics made the greatest contribution to positive changes in the mothers' perceptions. The term perceived social support refers to the cognitive appraisal by individuals that they are cared for and valued, that significant others are available to them if needed, and that they are satisfied with their interpersonal relationships. The perceived social support was more protective than social support source. network size and network density. Parental adaptation was found to be related to the child's communication competence rather than family coping strategies proposed by Lazarus and Folkman. One study results showed that there was no difference in depressive symptoms and physical health between mothers with a disabled child and those without all though mothers with a disabled child had negative attitudes and perceived themselves as having significantly less social support and lower family functioning. But a longitudinal study revealed decreases in the negative impact of the child and increases in sibling and overall family adaptation.
The purpose of this research was to examine variables contributing to the father's role performance. The study has been designed to measure the quantitative(i.e. amount of involvement) and the qualitative(i.e. depth of affection/care) values in their modes of child-rearing practices by taking a clouter look at the father's views on their careers and on offspring. Subjects were 516 fathers of school-age children. Analyzing the factors that determine the quantitative and qualitative aspects of child-rearing practices by the fathers, the sense of fulfillment/value in life is the decisive factor behind the affection(i.e. qualitative) in the child-rearing practices. The resets indicated that the father's perceptions on their careers and on their children constitute the critical factors behind the qualitative and quantitative aspects of child-rearing practices, albeit holding such factors as the parents'working hour or as mothers with outside jobs under control.
Nobody denies that to detect a view of children agreeable to us is one of our tasks. Studying the Early Buddhist Scriptures, for the purpose of finding and the view of children entered the priesthood of Buddhism rooted deeply in our culture, I can find out the following conclusions. 1. Buddha regards that adults and children are same in that both of them are equally able to attain Nirvana, and he recognizes the differences between adults and children appeared in body and mind in the process of spiritual discipline. 2. He consideres that parent's worldly love is needed to the children priests below the age of 12. 3. He called priests over the age of 12 to 20 children priests, and he said that they have to be under a certain guard in particular, because unlike adults they have a lot of problem in the discipline process. 4. In the view of human being's growth and development, it is assumed that the group of children priests played a part as a group of spiritual discipline for youths. 5. It's regarded that the group of children priests also had function as a group of child welfare of today. 6. In other side, we can see Buddha's strict view of education for children priests, that is, even though they were children they had to discipline themselves thoroughly according to the view of values of Buddhism as far as they are priests who entered the temple. 7. Even if they are children, only minimal living things are permitted to them, and an ascetic life is required to them. In modern sense, how can such views be accepted and used? I think, this is our new task deeply looked into again in the standpoint of education of whole man rooted in religions psychology.

This study is part of a larger project that investigated the patterns of children's use of educational graphic novels (EGNs), a publication format that has been popular among young readers in Korea since 2000. In-depth interviews with elementary school teachers and school librarians uncovered tension and gaps between these adult professionals and children's enjoyment of the format. Interviewees' views on EGNs ranged from limited tolerance to a potential candidate for high-interest / low-vocabulary reading. All teachers and school librarians urged for guidelines and criteria for selecting and evaluating EGNs for children.

This study is aimed at exploring the experience of couples choosing not to have children after marriage. To identify the motives for voluntary childlessness and social perceptions, a qualitative research method was used for analysis. After in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 childless couples who had agreed to participate in the research, 15 meaning units, 5 categories, and 3 topics were established. The research findings were categorized as follows: 'the motives for being childless', 'the surrounding response and coping response', and 'the expectation of a childless family's society.' The research participants argued that families without children should be fully accepted in the changing society, with the hope that their childlessness would be respected. The significance of this study is that it focused on the perceptions of families and society, while steering away from personal views on the meaning of a life absent of children. Based on the perception that childlessness is not only a personal matter but also a social issue, this study clearly showed a variety of reactions to childless couples, such as the labeling of them as eccentric people and disapproval of them. Furthermore, this study has elaborated on the personal experience of childless couples by clearly indicating their desires to seek government support and compensation.
Compared to that in the Caucasian population, type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) incidence rates are very low in Koreans. Therefore, compared to the recent development of pharmacological therapy applicable to Korean children with T1DM, interest in nonpharmacological therapy and psychosocial support systems remains low, as is the development of Korean-style T1DM education programs for therapeutic application. Children who have been newly diagnosed with diabetes are placed in completely new environments for treatment. For appropriate control of diabetes, patients have to self-monitor blood glucose levels and inject insulin several times a day and must use extreme self-control when they eat foods to avoid increases in blood glucose levels. Blood glucose excursions resulting from impaired pancreatic ${\beta}$ cell functions cause mental stress due to vague fears of chronic complications of diabetes. In addition, children with diabetes cannot be excluded from the substantial amount of studies required of Korean adolescents, and the absolute shortage of time for ideal control of diabetes adds to their mental stress. Many of these patients are psychologically isolated in school where they spend most of their time, and they are not appropriately considered or supported with respect to blood glucose control in many cases. In this respect, this author will introduce some of the newest views on nonpharmacological therapy and psychosocial support systems that account for important parts of T1DM management and seek measures to apply them in conformity with the social characteristics of Korea.
This study was conducted to develop a scale to evaluate maternal beliefs regarding employment and to demonstrate its validity. The subjects in the study included 225 mothers in Suncheon who had children under the age of 5. Initially, the definitions of beliefs associated with employment presented in previous studies were examined, after which the existing scale, Beliefs about the Consequence Maternal Employment for Young Children (BACMEC), was modified based the advice of three experts in child study. Next, 35 mothers who had preschool children were interviewed to assess their views on the positive and negative aspects of maternal employment. After excluding overlapping contents, a scale composed of 50 questions (24questions adapted from questions on the BACMEC and 26 created based on the results of the interview) was generated. Based on the result of factor and regression analysis, 27 (15questions regarding positive aspects of employment and 12 regarding negative aspects of employment) of the 50 questions were selected for use as the new scale. Reliability analysis showed satisfactory results (Cronbach's $\alpha$ = .89-.92). In conclusion, it is hoped that the scale for maternal beliefs in employment developed in this study will be used as a useful measurement tool in future studies conducted to evaluate maternal employment.
Even though the 7th national curriculum based on learner-centered instruction as fundamental spirit has been operated for 10 years or so, still the instruction style nation widely implemented in current classrooms is closer traditional style than it. It is a big challenge for a teacher who is used to a traditional one to try to fully make learner-centered instruction. The paper describes the teacher's cognizance change on it with the point of views of children's ability to construct knowledge, instructional materials, questioning techniques, and children's achievements.
