It is necessary to understand and apply the concept of Quality of Service(QoS) for the objective selection among the computer network equipment. Because ITU-T E.800 recommendation covers the service quality of provider's viewpoint and the satisfaction of user, it can be used to evaluate and select the product of computer network systems. This paper is concerned with the development of an evaluation model using QoS and software tool for selection of the most suitable LAN switch. We apply the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method of Saaty which has been in a multiple criteria framework for an effective group decision process to the selection of LAN switch. The sample data are collected and processed from a questionnaire of professionals in the network field. And we implement a prototype tool for the selection of LAN switch according to the suggested selection model and analyse the result. The result of our research is expected to be a useful tool for decision making to evaluate and select the LAN switch and also can be applied to the decision making of evaluation and selection related to the product of computer network with QoS.

본 연구는 기술개발지원사업의 선정 평가지표를 개발하고, 사례에 적용하여 그 타당성을 파악하고 있다. 개발된 선정평가지표의 기업선정순위와 기존 선정평가지표의 기업선정순위를 비교하여 성과를 낸 기업의 순위를 어떤 선정평가지표가 더 정확히 유추해 냈는지를 확인하고 있다. BSC 및 AHP기법을 이용하여 기술개발지원사업 선정평가지표를 개발하였다.

The purpose of this study is to establish a standard for proper selection of water soluble cutting fluids, such as Emulsion type, Semi-Synthetic type and synthetic type, by investigating cutting effects at the normal temperature(26$\circ$C) and cooling temperature(0$\circ$C) from the viewpoint of cooling and lubricant actions. This paper describes a relation among cutting force, surface roughness and cooled water soluble cutting fluids which are considered as effective restraints on Built up edge.

This study highlights some very important future directions for the revision of language forms in the 2007 Korean English Curriculum, expected to be made public in the summer of 2011. A critical review of the 2007 National English Curriculum shows that language forms exemplified in that curriculum are not well-chosen or well-sequenced from the viewpoint of grammar selection and gradation, and that no mention of structural labels or grammatical terminologies makes it hard for teachers to recognize their formal properties. To fulfill the original purpose that languages should be listed in the curriculum so that functional-notional syllabuses can be complemented by form-focused instruction, the study presents partial inventories of grammatical items with well-chosen and well-sequenced examples. Minimal descriptions are given to these inventories that are based on general notions or well-known grammatical notions. Occasional suggestions are also made for which language forms should be taught in which schools.

The purpose of this study is to define the concept of Hilly/Mountainous and Less-Favored Areas from the viewpoint of agricultural infrastructure, and to establish selection criteria and categorize of that areas. Using three type guidelines which were the rates of forest(above 50%), farmhouse population(above 50%) and infrastructure improvement(below 50%), the regions of 605 Eup Myon were selected to Hilly/Mountainous and Less-Favored Area. And for applying to regional development planning, the legions of eup myon were classified 4 types using average of the rate of forest and aged farmhouse population(75%, 17.5%). To conserve the farmland in Hilly/Mountainous and Less-Favored Areas, it requires continuous research on systematic approach method. Especially, it is necessary to investigate a development formula according to farmland scale and desolated degree through analysis of the actual condition of farmland.

The purpose of this paper is an application of AHP in the problem of exportable nuclear technology selection based on data gathered from nuclear experts. In this paper, the decision criteria for evaluating export competitiveness of nuclear technologies are identified and the hierarchical structure of decision making process is developed systematically. Subsequently the values of weights for relative importance among decision criteria are derived using AHP methodology, and the score of importance of nuclear technologies with respect to each criterion is evaluated. Finally the score indicating exportability of each nuclear technology is quantified in order to prioritize then. We discuss implications of our results with a viewpoint of national nuclear technology policy.

Many companies in these days have pursued an outsourcing policy to survive in a highly competitive world market. To effectively deal with the outsourcing policy, it is required that the companies have a useful method to rationally evaluate a supplier's performance from a viewpoint of a company's strategy and in a comparative-integrated manner. In this paper, we examined the relative importance of supplier selection criteria for a company's strategy by conducting a survey and proposed "Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)" as one of the plausible techniques to evaluate a supplier's total performance. A hypothetical case study is presented to demonstrate the applicability of the method.

In this paper, we propose a prototype of the SpeechWeb application using the information selection agent. We describe its design and implementation method and illustrated the processing results with the aid of some screenshots. Proposed SpeechWeb application presents the associated contents to the user by the aid of dynamic voice-anchors. These contents are presented using the apriori algorithm, which is one of data mining techniques. The application is better than the existing user-initiative structure from the viewpoint of making the user's interesting induction. Moreover, we believe that our proposed application is effective in information retrieval through wired and wireless telephone networks.
