  • In this paper, we propose "InFra-VC", an interactive Fractal viewer on virtual reality system. Fractal impresses us very much and is expected to model some natural phenomenon effectively. Therefore, their visualization is necessary for us to study their beauty as well as structure. InFra-VC can represents a cutting plane of the fractal figure, so that the user can see and enjoy its internal structure. Moving position of the cutting surface, we can easily understand its internal structure. Additionally, InFra-VC can store situation as VRML format file at any time. This feature enables us to see the structure by a VRML viewer on common PC.

  • 본 논문에서는 의료 영상분야에서 많이 활용되고 있는 기존의 영상 획득. 저장 및 전송 시스템(PACS)에 스테레오 내시경 영상이 추가될 수 있도록 기존의 PACS에 스테레오 기능의 관찰(viewing) 시스뎀을 추가하였으며 기본 기능으로 1) 3차원 스테레오 좌, 우 독립 영상의 선택과 합성 2) 기존의 합성된 스테레오 영상의 선택이 가능하도록 하였으며 3) 스테레오 영상의 Dicom 표준이 없는 상황을 고려하여 기본적인 카메라 관련 사항(카메라 사양. 초점 거리, 베이스라인 등)을 입력할 수 있는 기록 필드를 삽입하였다. 또한 임상적으로 수응 가능한 3차원 스테레오 영상의 PACS 내 효율적 저장법을 제시하기 위하여 의료 영상에 많이 활용되는 JPEG과 Wavelet 압축법을 각각 이용하여 3차원 좌. 우 독립영상과 복합 영상의 효율적 압축비를 PSNR을 중심으로 비교하였다.

  • 내장형 소프트웨어 성능 평가 및 분석 도구는 제한된 자원에 효율적인 내장형 소프트웨어의 개발 속도와 신뢰성 향상을 위한 유용한 도구이다. 본 논문은 내장형 시스템 개발자가 쉽고 편리하게 성능 평가 결과를 분석하고 효율적인 소프트웨어 개발 기회를 보장받을 수 있는 GUI 형태의 성능 분석 레포팅 뷰어(reporting viewer)를 설계하고 구현한다. 제안하는 성능 분석 레포팅 뷰어는 내장형 소프트웨어에 대해 생성된 저수준의 성능 평가 로그를 API 수준의 자료구조로 변경하는 정보 변환기 모듈과 API 형태의 자료구조를 이용해 사용자가 원하는 결과를 GUI 형태로 출력하는 레포팅 생성기로 구성된다. 제안하는 성능 분석 레포팅뷰어는 개발자나 사용자에게 그래픽 형태의 편리한 성능 분석 레포팅을 제공하며, 나아가API를 통해 개발자 자신의 취향에 맞는 레포팅 화면의 구성과 개발 가능성을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 EPUB3.0을 지원하는 안드로이드 EPUB3.0 뷰어 설계 및 구현에 관한 것이다. 안드로이드 EPUB3.0뷰어는 EPUB File Controller, EPUB File Analyzer, EPUB Viewer모듈로 구성되어지며, 각 모듈은 서로 연계하여 효율적으로 뷰어가 구동할 수 있도록 설계되어졌다. 설계되어진 모듈은 HTML5, CSS3, MathML, 벡터 그래픽, 멀티미디어를 활용하여 기기 호환을 자유롭게 이루어 질수 있도록 구현 되어졌으며 EPUB3.0 표준에 맞추어져 있어, 동영상, 오디오, 표현이 자유롭다.

Development of Mobile 3D Terrain Viewer with Texture Mapping of Satellite Images

  • Based on current practical needs for geo-spatial information on mobile platform, the main theme of this study is a design and implementation of dynamic 3D terrain rendering system using spaceborne imagery, as a kind of texture image for photo-realistic 3D scene generation on mobile environment. Image processing and 3D graphic techniques and algorithms, such as TIN-based vertex generation with regular spacing elevation data for generating 3D terrain surface, image tiling and image-vertex texturing in order to resolve limited resource of mobile devices, were applied and implemented by using graphic pipeline of OpenGL|ES (Embedded System) API. Through this implementation and its tested results with actual data sets of DEM and satellite imagery, we demonstrated the realizable possibility and adaptation of complex typed and large sized 3D geo-spatial information in mobile devices. This prototype system can be used to mobile 3D applications with DEM and satellite imagery in near future.

  • As a primitive immersive video technology, a three degrees of freedom (3DoF) $360^{\circ}$ video can currently render viewport images that are dependent on the rotational movements of the viewer. However, rendering a flat $360^{\circ}$ video, that is supporting head rotations only, may generate visual discomfort especially when objects close to the viewer are rendered. 3DoF+ enables head movements for a seated person adding horizontal, vertical, and depth translations. The 3DoF+ $360^{\circ}$ video is positioned between 3DoF and six degrees of freedom, which can realize the motion parallax with relatively simple virtual reality software in head-mounted displays. This article introduces the standardization trends for the 3DoF+ video in the MPEG-I visual group.

  • 전자책이 등장한지 15년이 지났지만, 아직도 전자책 시장에는 종이책의 틀에 갇혀 글로만 쓰인 책이 가득하다. 이러한 부분을 ePub 3.0의 기반이 되는 HTML5를 이용함으로 해결할 수 있으나, HTML5 역시 아직 활발히 사용되는 기술요소가 아니기에 전자책 시장에서 멀티미디어 요소와 함께 하는 전자책을 찾기란 쉽지 않다. 본 논문에서는 HTML5를 이용하여 전자책에 멀티미디어 요소를 추가할 수 있는 Editor와 전자책을 볼 수 있는 Viewer를 실험적으로 구현해보았다. 또한, 도서 검색의 편의를 위해 도서 본문을 이용한 Semantic 검색을 구현하였다.

A study on the Interactive Expression of Human Emotions in Typography

  • In modern times, text has become an image, and typography is a style that is a combination of image and text that can be easily encountered in everyday life. It is developing not only for the purpose of conveying meaningful communication, but also to bring joy and beauty to our lives as a medium with aesthetic format. This study shows through case analysis that typography is a tool for expressing human emotions, and investigates its characteristics that change along with the media. In particular, interactive communication tools and methods used by interactive typography to express viewers' emotions are described in detail. We created interactive typography using the inputted text, the selected music by the viewer and the viewer's movement. As a result of applying it to the exhibition, we could confirm that interactive typography can function as an effective communication medium that shows the utility of both the iconography of letter signs and the cognitive function when combined with the audience's intentional motion.

NBLAST: a graphical user interface-based two-way BLAST software with a dot plot viewer

  • BLAST, a basic bioinformatics tool for searching local sequence similarity, has been one of the most widely used bioinformatics programs since its introduction in 1990. Users generally use the web-based NCBI-BLAST program for BLAST analysis. However, users with large sequence data are often faced with a problem of upload size limitation while using the web-based BLAST program. This proves inconvenient as scientists often want to run BLAST on their own data, such as transcriptome or whole genome sequences. To overcome this issue, we developed NBLAST, a graphical user interface-based BLAST program that employs a two-way system, allowing the use of input sequences either as "query" or "target" in the BLAST analysis. NBLAST is also equipped with a dot plot viewer, thus allowing researchers to create custom database for BLAST and run a dot plot similarity analysis within a single program. Trans-Parasocial Relation Between Influencers and Viewers on Live Streaming Platforms: How Does it Affect Viewer Stickiness and Purchase Intention?

  • Live streaming has become one of the most important communication tools for influencers to synchronously interact with viewers. It is critical to understand the effect of the reciprocal and synchronously interactive relations built between influencers and viewers, so-called trans-parasocial relations, in the context of live streaming. In this study, we investigate how trans-parasocial relations impact viewers' stickiness and purchase intention on live streaming platforms. Furthermore, we investigate fanship as a mediating factor in the relationship between trans-parasocial relations and viewers' behaviors. Overall, the results reveal significant direct and indirect effects of trans-parasocial relations on viewers' stickiness and purchase intention. Higher trans-parasocial relations further lead to stronger viewers' fanship toward influencers and increases their willingness to stay longer or make purchases on live streaming platforms. These findings further the understanding of influencer-viewer relations and viewers' behavior on live streaming platforms and provide valuable insights into influencer marketing and live streaming.
