유압모터 구면 정압베어링의 마찰특성에 관한 연구 (The study on the friction characteristics of spherical hydrostatic bearing for hydraulic piston motor)

  • In case of bent axis type axial piston hydraulic pump or motor, hydrostatic bearing used to achieve the lubrication effect on the mechanical sliding contact areas between the following pairs ; piston shoe and swash plate, valve plate and cylinder block, piston and cylinder block, etc. In this research, we designed two pairs of spherical ball joint in witch connecting rod piston end. The one is not hydrostatic bearing, the other is designed with spherical hydrostatic bearing in point of view minimum pumping power loss. By varying supply pressure on the piston, we can know that it is possible to reduce the friction torque by using hydrostatic bearing designed one. Finally, by comparing the results of driving torque between the two models, it was verified that the spherical hydrostatic bearing is well designed.

스윙암 방식을 이용한 대형 광학부품 연마가공기 개발 (Development of a Swing-Arm Type Polishing Machine for Large Optics)

  • A polishing machine adopting a new unique structural mechanism has been developed, named as a swing-arm type polishing machine. The mechanism is such that the tool path tracks on a spherical surface, of which the diameter is adjusted by setting up the machine mechanism properly. It has a strong benefit especially for polishing axis-symmetric concave mirror surfaces. The swing-arm type polishing machine with 5-axes has been designed in order to polish a concave mirror surface lip to diameter of 2 meters. The drawings are made using 3D CAD and strain-stress analysis has been done by finite element method. AC servo-motor has been used to move the swing arm and a operating software has been developed using a LapVIEW tool. Result of the test run was satisfactory which convinces the usefulness of the swing-arm type polishing machine.

축 수직단면 형상정의에 대한 대형 스크류의 가공시 공구간섭검사 (Tool interference check in machining of large screws defined by cross-section view)

  • In machining screws which are important members in mono pumps or progressive cavity pumps CNC turning center with 3 axes is usually used. This sort of screw machining requires large amount of CL data points and rotational tools are used in machining. When working out the CL data points consideration of possible tool interference is important in order to avoid undercut. This paper describes the checking methods of tool interference in the screw machining on the CNC turning center. First of all a specific shape of a screw cross-section that could commonly be applied to all screws was chosen and then possible tool interference associated with that shape was identified. Checking method was mathematically developed and verified. This checking method will be utilized in the CAM system developed by the authors for screw machining on the 3-axis CNC turning center.

인공와우 이식술 환자의 Cochlear View 촬영에 관한 연구 (A study on the Cochlear View in Multichannel Cochlear Implantees)

  • Cochlear implant poses a contraindication to the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) process, because MRI generates artifacts, inducing an electrical current and causing device magnetization. CT is relatively expensive and the metal electrodes scatter the image. Post-implantation radiological studies using anterior-posterior transorbital, submental-vertex and lateral views, the intracochlear electrodes are not well displayed. Therefore, the authors developed a special view, which we call the cochlear view. The patient is sitting in front of a vertical device. Then the midsagittal plane is adjusted to form an angle of $15^{\circ},\;30^{\circ}$, and $45^{\circ}$ with the film. The flexion of the neck is adjusted to make the infraorbitomeatal line(IOML) is parallel with the transverse axis of the film. The central ray is directed to exit from the skull at point which is 3.0 cm anterior and 2.0 cm superior to the EAM(external auditory meatus). Results have shown that single radiography of the cochlear view provides sufficient information to demonstrate the position of the electrodes array and the depth of insertion in cochlear. Radiography of the cochlear view in angle of $45^{\circ}$ is an excellent image. The cochlear view gives the greatest amount of medical information with the least radiation and lowest medical cost. It can be widely used in all cochlear implant clinics.

조선 왕릉의 경관관리를 위한 통합적 시각구조분석모델 모색방안 (A Study on the Invention of Synthetic Visual Analysis Model for Joseon Royal Tombs)

  • 본 연구는 조선 왕릉의 명확한 공간 및 시각구조특성을 활용하여 그 주변 경관관리를 위해 요청되는 시각구조분석의 최적화 모델개발을 모색한 것으로, 이를 최근의 분석 장비와 기법으로 뒷받침하고자 하였다. 연구 결과 삼차원적 정보모델링인 '스케치업'의 간략화한 자료구축을 통해 이 자료상에서 주요지점과 통경축, 그리고 주변의 저해요소 등을 복합적으로 고려한 연속적 시뮬레이션 기반구축의 선행 실시를 상정하였다. 이후 이들의 경로와 시선방향을 연장하는 좌표 값을 도출하고 이 구간을 헬리캠이 운행하면서 촬영한 실사이미지와 시뮬레이션을 상호 비교함으로서 경관분석과 관리의 효율성이 배가될 수 있음을 제안하였다. 이러한 내용은 그간 소수의 국한된 장소에서 촬영된 이미지를 통해 분석되어온 고정적 지각구조 분석방식의 한계성을 극복할 수 있으며, 시선차단요소들과의 관계성 고찰이 용이한 장점을 보유한다. 아울러 제안된 방식은 주요 시선경로 상의 경관적 변화양상을 포착할 수 있으며, 헬리캠을 이용한 실사 이미지와 스케치업의 가상 이미지 간 호환을 통해 최적화된 장비운영을 가능케 함으로서 분석이후 시간적 변화에 따른 정비계획의 시뮬레이션 자료로서도 용이하게 전환될 수 있다. 상기의 제안은 그간의 조망점, 통경축, 경관관리권역이라는 점, 선, 면, 입체적 환경을 중층적, 연속적, 효율적으로 연계하는 자료로서 기능할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 조선왕릉과 주변 경관구조 분석방법론 수립에 치중한 까닭에 실천적 점검이 결여된 상태이나 향후 현장에서의 실천과 점검을 통해 기타 문화재의 경관관리에도 응용될 것을 기대한다.

Aberrant growth of the anterior cranial base relevant to severe midface hypoplasia of Apert syndrome

  • Background: A 9-year-old male showed severe defects in midface structures, which resulted in maxillary hypoplasia, ocular hypertelorism, relative mandibular prognathism, and syndactyly. He had been diagnosed as having Apert syndrome and received a surgery of frontal calvaria distraction osteotomy to treat the steep forehead at 6 months old, and a surgery of digital separation to treat severe syndactyly of both hands at 6 years old. Nevertheless, he still showed a turribrachycephalic cranial profile with proptosis, a horizontal groove above supraorbital ridge, and a short nose with bulbous tip. Methods: Fundamental aberrant growth may be associated with the cranial base structure in radiological observation. Results: The Apert syndrome patient had a shorter and thinner nasal septum in panthomogram, PA view, and Waters' view; shorter zygomatico-maxillary width (83.5 mm) in Waters' view; shorter length between the sella and nasion (63.7 mm) on cephalogram; and bigger zygomatic axis angle of the cranial base (118.2°) in basal cranial view than a normal 9-year-old male (94.8 mm, 72.5 mm, 98.1°, respectively). On the other hand, the Apert syndrome patient showed interdigitating calcification of coronal suture similar to that of a normal 30-year-old male in a skull PA view. Conclusion: Taken together, the Apert syndrome patient, 9 years old, showed retarded growth of the anterior cranial base affecting severe midface hypoplasia, which resulted in a hypoplastic nasal septum axis, retruded zygomatic axes, and retarded growth of the maxilla and palate even after frontal calvaria distraction osteotomy 8 years ago. Therefore, it was suggested that the severe midface hypoplasia and dysostotic facial profile of the present Apert syndrome case are closely relevant to the aberrant growth of the anterior cranial base supporting the whole oro-facial and forebrain development.

우리별 1, 2호 아날로그 태양 감지기의 궤도상 운용결과 (KITSAT-1/2 ANALOG SUN SENSORS-IN-ORBIT RESULTS)

  • 이 논문에서는 우리별 1호와 2호의 간략한 설명과 우리별 I호와 통일한 구조를 가진 우리별 2호의 아날로그 태양 감지기의 동작원리, 보정 방법 및 궤도상의 운용결과를 서술한다. 아날로그 태양 감지기는 향후 위성 프로젝트를 위한 실험 탑재체로써 탑재되었다. 이 태양 감지기들은 위성이 요구하는 중량 및 전력 소모의 최소화에 알맞게 제작되었다. 두개의 일차원 아날로그 태양 감지기들이 우리벌 2호 위성의 윗면에 부착되어 있다. 각각의 태양 감 지기들은 $\pm60^{\circ}$의 앙각을 갖고 있으며 갑지기 두개가 총 $210^{\circ}$의 앙각을 가지므로 $30^{\circ}$의 중 첩부분이 있다. 일차원 태양 감지기들이 위성의 Z축에 정렬되어 있으므로 위성의 Z축(yaw 축)을 중심으로한 상대적인 태양각과 위성의 회전 속도만을 알 수 있다. 각각의 태양 감지기는 지상에서 5차 곡선 적합화(5th order line fitting) 알고리즘율 이용하여 보정수식올 얻었으며 이 수식들은 궤도상의 운용결과에 적용되었다. 그 결과 입사 태양광의 난반사가 가장 심한 입사각 $0^{\circ}$ 근처를 제외한다면 태양전지판용 실리콘 소자를 사용한 태양 감지기 1의 경우 $1.5^{\circ}$, 파기원에서 제작된 실리콘 광소자를 사용한 태양 감지기 2의 경우 $0.5^{\circ}$의 최대 오차흘 갖는 궤도 운용상의 성능을 보여 주었다. 그 결과들을 4장에 보였으며 각각의 태양 감지기의 성능과 가능한 감지기의 부확에 따롱 오차를 5장에 보인다.

  • This paper presents a robust method to combine a collection of images with small fields of view to obtain an image with a large field of view. In the previous works, there are two main areas which one is a cross correlation-based method and the other is a feature-based method. The former is based on motion estimation from video sequences. so there are a problem on rotating a camera about optical axis. In the latter method, it is difficult to match correspondence feature points correctly.'re find correct correspondences, we proposed the geometrical feature model and correspondence filters and the Gaussian distribution weight function to blend the images smoothly. The experiments show that our method is robust and effective.

웹기반 힘관리시스템의 구현 (Implementation of Web-based Force Management System)

  • For factory automation using force/torque control, we need a networked-force management system as well as good force sensing and force generation. In this paper, we present a web-based force management system including 6-axis force/torque sensing system. Performance of the force-torque sensor is affected significantly by analog noise that is included in a sensor signal, and the noise should be reduced appropriately to obtain an adequate performance of the sensor. Moreover, the sensor itself should be convenient to install to a real application system. It should be compact in size and also easy to wire in real situation. In this viewpoint, we developed usb-based compact sensor system which is well communicated using web between two computers that exist far away. Software is programmed using LabVIEW and CCS-C. PIC microcontrollers are used for implementing a compact hardware. The proposed system is verified through experimental works.

  • 2-D echocardiographic examination of the aortic root diameter was known to be useful in the selection of the size of the prosthetic valve. Valve-patient mismatch was occasionally a serious problem after valve replacement, especially in aortic valve disease. Preoperative knowledge of the patient`s valve annulus size is therefore of great importance in the surgical management of these patients. So the relationship between preoperative 2-D echocardiographic diameter of the annulus size and replaced prosthetic valve were evaluated. 13 patients were analyzed in this study. 2-D echocardiographic measurements of aortic annulus diameter, as determined from the parasternal long axis view and apical four chamber view, demonstrated a high correlation with actual prosthetic valve size implanted at surgery[r=0.86, p< 0.001, SEE=1.08].
