This study aims at identifying the physical, emotional effect on dance education by using "Dance Central" among Xbox-360 Games. In order to achieve the target, this study adopts case study methodology through Dance Central program among qualitative methods. The participants of this study were 8 adults who do not have experienced dance games from a homogeneous group composed of persons into who are called the Net Generation. The period of this study was from July 18, 2011 to August 14, 2011, during which the observation was conducted for 5 weeks. In total, 15 times of participant observation were made. Dance game experience Through data collection and analysis Participatory Video, self-reports, un-Structured interview, Observations. As a result of the study, the educational effect of aspects physical, emotional and the of dance game was analyzed into dance educational aspect. Educational effect on physical aspect was divided into subjects of 'preceded rhythm and familiarity of dance moves', 'changes by type of moves' and 'dance game requiring active physical activities'. Emotional learning effect was divided into subjects including, 'alleviation of stress'. 'changes of fun by stage and concentration' and 'dance game which has no risk of addiction'.
The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of place that is formed by children experiencing the space of kindergarten existentially. For this purpose, the indoor and outdoor spaces of kindergarten, which is a real place where infants experience, are selected as the study observation category. In order to carry out the research, video recording was done focusing on children's free choice activity time and outdoor play through infant observation and non - formal interview. As a result of research, it is found that the place nature of kindergarten as an existential space experienced by infant and teacher as a space that is formed in experience and relation, place as a common production space of play, place as a space where education and life coexist, It was shown that it represents a special space created by experienced kindergarten, and a space characteristic as a space shared by communication. The place of kindergarten has a relationship with the existential experiences of infants, suggesting that teachers need a reinterpretation of space.
We have developed a 5GHz continuum receiver system. The receiver is a direct type receiver. In order to reduce the noise due to the fluctuation of the gain in the amplifiers, the system employs the Dicke switching method. We made the 5GHz low-noise amplifier and the bandpass filter. The low-noise amplifier gives ${\sim}35dB$ gain and has ${\sim}210K$ noise temperature. The bandpass filter has a passband between 4.3 and 5.4GHz. We also made switch driver, video amplifiers, phase detector, and integrator. Using a 1.8 meter offset parabolic antenna, we measured the efficiency of the system. Since the antenna does not have a driver to track objects, observations were performed with the antenna fixed. The measured noise temperature of the system is ${\sim}650K$. From the observation of the blank sky, noise level was measured. It was found that the systematic noise(${\sim}0.5K$: peak to peak value) is much larger than the thermal noise. The systematic noise is possibly related to the stability of the DC power supplied to the receiver system. Besides the noise of the system, it was found that the airplanes are the very serious noise sources. We measured the radio flux of the Sun using the developed system. The observed radio flux of the Sun is ${\sim}10^6Jy$, which is close to the known value of the quiet Sun. The test observation of the Sun shows that the angular beam size of the antenna is ${\sim}2.2^{\circ}$.

Despite the recent increased attention to mathematics teacher education there have been lack of empirical studies on how to teach teachers. A study of mathematics instruction for prospective teachers can be conducted either by a teacher educator's critical reflection on her teaching or by observation of others' teaching practices. This paper was from the author's observation of a mathematics instruction course for future elementary teachers at the University of California at Irvine. As such this paper described in detail how the course was implemented throughout the quarter and drew implications for a teacher preparation program in Korea. As the course had a specific purpose of promoting future teachers' expertise in mathematics instruction and employed various strategies that were different from a typical university course, this paper is expected to provide teacher educators with the insight of an alternative teaching style and to provoke discussion of how to connect theory to practice for effective teacher education.
In this study, surface currents measured by small lagrangian GPS drifters (Aquadrifter) in Anmok coastal waters were analysed to account for the variability of nearshore surface current and wave-induced current to understand sediment transport mechanism near the crescentic bars in the surf-zone and near Kangneung breakwater and submerged breakwater in Anmok. The 8 times lagrangian drifter experiments were conducted mostly during in 2nd, 3rd, 4th intensive measurements in winter, summer, and spring seasons with long-term wave observation at the station W1. The analysed surface currents near the breakwaters in Anmok show that wave-induced currents at the middle of the submerged breakwater were separated and flowed toward the shoreline but offshore currents were dominant through the channels between the breakwaters. The longshore currents near the shoreline were flowed to the northwest (southeast) depending on the incoming waves from ENE (NNE). The surface nearshore offshore currents were generated mostly by waves and winds in case of high and low wave energy environments. Using the small-size lagrangian surface drifter experiments, we successfully measured longshore and offshore wave-induced currents in the surf-zone and near submerged breakwater close to Kangneung breakwater. The drifter experiment results show the availability of direct observation of nearshore surface currents to understand the mechanism of sediment transport analysing observed wave-induced current and ebb-current in the surf-zone generated by incoming waves and local winds.
Objective: The aim was to compare the behavioral response to full separation of cows and calves maintained together for 100 days or 24 h. Methods: Twelve Holstein-Friesian cow-calf pairs were enrolled into either treatment or industry groups (n = 6 cow-calf pairs/group). The treatment cows and calves were maintained on pasture together for 106±8.6 d and temporarily separated twice a day for milking. The Industry cows and their calves, were separated within 24 h postpartum. Triaxial accelerometer neck-mounted sensors were fitted to cows 3 weeks before separation to measure hourly rumination and activity. Before separation, cow and calf behavior was observed by scan sampling for 15 min. During the separation process, frequency of vocalizations and turn arounds were recorded. At separation, cows were moved to an observation pen where behavior was recorded for 3 d. A CCTV camera was used to record video footage of cows within the observation pens and behavior was documented from the videos in 15 min intervals across the 3 d. Results: Before separation, industry calves were more likely to be near their mother than Treatment calves. During the separation process, vocalization and turn around behavior was similar between groups. After full separation, treatment cows vocalized three times more than industry cows. However, the frequency of time spent close to barrier, standing, lying, walking, and eating were similar between industry and treatment cows. Treatment cows had greater rumination duration, and were more active, than industry cows. Conclusion: These findings suggest a similar behavioral response to full calf separation and greater occurrence of vocalizations, from cows maintained in a long-term, pasture-based, cow-calf rearing system when ompared to cows separated within 24 h. However, further work is required to assess the impact of full separation on calf behavior.

This paper presents a method to extract a good high-resolution image from a low-resolution video in an automatic manner. Since a high-resolution image reconstruction method utilizing several low-resolution input images works better than a conventional interpolation method utilizing single low-resolution input image only if the input images are well registered onto a common high-resolution grid, low-resolution input images should be carefully chosen so that the registration errors can be carefully considered. In this paper, the statistics obtained from the motion-compensated low-resolution images are utilized to evaluate the feasibility of the input image candidates. Maximum motion-compensation error is estimated from the high-resolution image observation model. U the motion-compensation error of the input image candidate is greater than the estimated maximum motion-compensation error, the input image candidate is discarded. The number of good input image candidates and the statistics of the motion-compensation errors are used to choose final input images. The final input images chosen from the input image selection block are given to the following high-resolution image reconstruction block. It is expected that the proposed method is utilized to extract a good high-resolution image efficiently from a low-resolution video without any user intervention.

For providing a basic data concerning with a fishing deck layout design of a trawler the authors conducted the video observations about the working activities of crews on the deck in the different layout of two Korean coastal large stern trawlers (gross tonnage: 139). The winch of the trawler-A was installed on the aft of the fishing deck and the trawler-B, on the forward of the fishing deck. The work and activities of the deck hands on both trawlers were observed using the CCD (charge coupled device) camera installed on each trawler's deck for one month from August 3, 2010. The video data was analyzed by the hierarchical task analysis (HTA) method. In results, numbers of tasks to require deck hands during the hauling net and the casting net were 25 and 28 for the trawler-A and 27 and 48 for the trawler-B, respectively. The working processes were represented a same in both of the trawlers. Location for controlling the deck machineries, the location installed trawl winch, kinds of deck machineries, crew's custom for using deck machineries were the factor affecting to the number of the task. In the case of the improvement suggested in the results is carried out, the reduction percentages of the number of task in the trawler-A and trawler-B were estimated as 24.5% and 51.3%, respectively. Through this study it was found that the quantitative analysis is possible for the work processes, work methods and the work contents in the trawler. Also the suggestion for improving the fishing deck layout design of the trawler was possible by finding out the factors increasing the number of tasks and removing the tasks. We expect that the results of this paper are used as a basic data for designing the layout of deck machineries in the trawler in the future.

In this study, to disseminate the Practical On-site Cooperation Model (POCoM) for practical improvement of science teaching and learning through cooperation between researcher and teacher, an in-service program has been developed, applied and evaluated. The in-service program emphasizes the following three aspects; (1) video-recording of actual science teaching has been used as a primary resource, (2) communication between teacher and researcher and among teachers have been emphasized, (3) activities have been mainly included. The in-service program has been implemented for nine hours, and 17 science teachers have been recruited as volunteers. The result shows that, by checking the agreements between raters, we found that teachers' expertise in analyzing the science class using the Korean Teaching Observation Protocol (KTOP) has improved, and we have confirmed that teachers are able to judge whether the science class has improved or not. Through the questionnaire, various highly positive responses could be obtained from teachers. And through the observation of teachers' activities during the in-service program, teachers' questions, their difficulties in doing activities, and their comments for improving the program has also been analyzed. Finally, based on the results, a list of recommendations for a more effective in-service program have been suggested. It is expected that this list can be utilized for more effective and meaningful design and implementation of in-service course.

The purpose of this study was to investigate 6th grade pupil's thoughts during classification activities. Two suitable tools in classification activity achievement were developed to achieve this purpose. The first was an artificial stimulus card in which the attribute was prominent; and the other a natural stimulus card in which the attribute was less prominent. Participants of the study were 8 6th grade pupils from D elementary school in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Data were collected from interviews with the pupils, the pupil's recordings of classification, the investigator's observation of pupil's actions, and video recordings of the pupil's subject classification process. Results found in this study were as following. First, when doing classification 6th grade pupils considered attribute observation, attribute estimation, preliminary inspection, criteria selection, and sample identification. Second, 6th grade pupil classification thought process was found to be repetitive, passing through the steps of attribute observation, attribute estimation, preliminary inspection, criteria selection, and lastly, sample identification. Third, 6th grade pupils took advantage of cognitive economic efficiency. Study findings also revealed guidance for the teaching and learning of scientific classification. First, once teachers understand the classification thought process of students, more effective classification guidance will be possible. Second, it is necessary that guidance fit each step of the classification thought process.
