프로젝션맵핑 기반 영상 설치 미술의 시각적 표현 확장성 -사례 분석 및 작품 을 중심으로- (Extensibility of Visual Expression in Projection Mapping Installation Art; Focused on Examples and Projection Mapping Installation Artwork Domino)

  • 최근 센서 경험을 위한 새로운 매체들의 발전은 프로젝션맵핑, 가상현실과 같은 비디오 설치 미술의 시각적 표현을 더욱 확장시키고 있다. 예술가들은 새로운 매체들들 통해 새로운 시각적 표현 기법을 개발하고 발전시킬 수 있다. 프로젝션맵핑 기술은 지속적으로 미디어아트 작품의 시각적 표현에 다양한 가능성을 부여하고 있다. 본 논문은 프로젝션맵핑 기술에 기반한 시각 표현이 인간의 감각 체험으로 전이되고 확장되는 과정을 연구하기 위해서, 매체가 갖는 '복제성,' '전파성,' '가상성' 그리고 '인터랙션'의 특징을 분석함으로써 시각적 표현을 정의하고 의미를 기술하였다. 작품 분석을 통해 '반복과 중첩,' '시뮬라이크롬과 은유,' '치환과 전환'의 시각적 표현 기법에 대해 분석하고, 프로젝션맵핑 작품인 에 적용함으로써 시각 표현 기법이 인간의 감각 체험으로 확장되는 과정을 연구하였다. 시각적 표현의 확장성 연구는 작품을 제작하는 예술가들이나 관람하는 관객들에게 작품의 의미를 전달하거나 해석하는데 필요한 핵심 요소이다.

PCA 기반 변환을 통한 다해상도 피처 맵 압축 방법 (A Feature Map Compression Method for Multi-resolution Feature Map with PCA-based Transformation)

  • 본 논문에서는 VCM을 위한 다해상도 피처 맵에 대한 압축 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 압축 방법은 PCA 기반의 변환을 통해 다해상도 피처 맵의 채널 및 해상도 계층 간 중복성을 제거하며 변환에 사용된 기저 벡터와 평균 벡터 그리고 변환을 통해 얻어진 변환 계수를 각각의 특성에 따라 VVC 기반 부호화기와 DeepCABAC을 통하여 압축한다. 제안하는 방법의 성능을 측정하기 위하여 OpenImageV6와 COCO 2017 validation set에 대하여 객체 검출 성능을 평가하며, MPEG-VCM 앵커 및 본 논문에서 제안하는 피처 맵 압축 앵커 대비 bpp와 mAP를 BD-rate 관점에서 비교한다. 실험 결과, 제안하는 방법은 OpenImageV6에서 피처 맵 압축 앵커 대비 25.71%의 BD-rate 성능 향상을 보이며, 특히 COCO 2017 validation set의 크기가 큰 객체들에 대해서 MPEG-VCM 앵커 대비 최대 43.72%의 BD-rate 성능이 향상됨을 보인다.

신체의 상향·하향 이동경험이 심리적 판단에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Physical Upward and Downward Movement Experience on Psychological Judgements)

  • 인간의 행동이 생각이나 마음에 의해 지배되기도 하지만 반대로 인간의 생각이나 마음이 행동에 의해 지배되기도 한다는 관점에서 접근하는 연구들이 2000년대 후반부터 주목받기 시작했다. 물리적 경험이 은유적으로 연결되어 있는 추상적 개념을 상기시켜 결과적으로 특정 대상에 대한 판단이나 평가에 영향을 미친다는 것이다. 하지만 지금까지 진행되어 온 연구들은 인간이 보는 대상, 만지는 대상, 들고 있는 대상 등에 따라 인지 및 판단이 달라진다는 연구들로서 아직까지 인간의 특정 행동 패턴에 따른 차별적 효과에 대한 연구는 매우 희박한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 위 또는 아래 방향으로 신체의 위치 이동이 일어날 경우 심리적 판단에 차별적 영향을 미친다는 사실을 밝혀내고자 하였다. 1차 실험에서 은유적으로 연결되어 있다고 판단되는 단어들끼리 짝짓는 테스트를 진행하였고, 2차 실험에서는 피험자들이 복잡한 연산문제를 짧은 시간 내에 풀게 하고, 상향 이동 또는 하향 이동 관련된 영상물을 보게 한 후, 이에 대한 심리적 판단을 측정하는 방식으로 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 신체의 '하향 이동'은 '종결'과 은유적인 연결이 있는 반면, '상향 이동'은 '진행'과 연관이 있음이 밝혀졌고, 신체의 상향 이동 경험자에 비해 하향 이동 경험자의 경우 자신의 의사결정에 대한 번복의향이 낮게 나타나고, 의사결정에 대한 확신과 성과에 대한 기대감은 높게 나타났다.

Faster R-CNN을 이용한 갓길 차로 위반 차량 검출 (Detecting Vehicles That Are Illegally Driving on Road Shoulders Using Faster R-CNN)

  • 최근 5년간 고속도로에서 발생한 사망 사고의 통계를 살펴보면, 고속도로 전체 사망자 중 갓길에서 발생한 사망자의 사망률이 약 3배 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 갓길 사고 발생 시 사고의 심각도가 매우 높다는 것을 보여주며, 갓길 차로 위반 차량을 단속하여 사고를 미연에 방지하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 시시한다. 이에 본 연구는 Faster R-CNN 기법을 활용하여 갓길 차로 위반 차량을 검출할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. Faster R-CNN 기법을 기반으로 차량을 탐지하고, 추가적인 판독 모듈을 구성하여 갓길 위반 여부를 판단하였다. 실험 및 평가를 위해 현실세계와 유사하게 상황을 재현할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 게임인 GTAV를 활용하였다. 이미지 형태의 학습데이터 1,800장과 평가데이터 800장을 가공 및 생성하였으며, ZFNet과 VGG16에서 Threshold 값의 변화에 따른 성능을 측정하였다. 그 결과 Threshold 0.8 기준 ZFNet 99.2%, Threshold 0.7 기준 VGG16 93.9%의 검출율을 보였고, 모델 별 평균 검출 속도는 ZFNet 0.0468초, VGG16 0.16초를 기록하여 ZFNet의 검출율이 약 7% 정도 높았으며, 검출 속도 또한 약 3.4배 빠름을 확인하였다. 이는 비교적 복잡하지 않은 네트워크에서도 입력 영상의 전처리 없이 빠른 속도로 갓길 차로 위반 차량의 검출이 가능함을 보여주며, 실제 영상자료 기반의 학습데이터셋을 충분히 확보한다면 지정 차로 위반 검출에 본 알고리즘을 활용할 수 있다는 것을 시사한다.

차량 내 영상 센서 기반 고속도로 돌발상황 검지 정밀도 평가 (Precision Evaluation of Expressway Incident Detection Based on Dash Cam)

  • 컴퓨터 비전(Computer Vision: CV) 기술 발전으로 폐쇄회로 TV(Closed-Circuit television: CCTV)와 같은 영상 센서로 돌발상황을 검지하고 있다. 그러나 현재 이러한 기술은 대부분 고정식 영상 센서를 기반으로 한다. 따라서 고정식 장비의 영상 범위가 닿지 않는 음영지역의 돌발상황 검지에는 한계가 존재해왔다. 최근 엣지 컴퓨팅(Edge-computing) 기술의 발전으로 이동식 영상정보의 실시간 분석이 가능해졌다. 본 연구는 차량 내 설치된 이동식 영상 센서(dashboard camera 혹은 dash cam)에 컴퓨터 비전 기술을 도입하여 고속도로에서 실시간으로 돌발상황 검지 가능성에 대해 평가하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 한국도로공사 순찰차량에 장착된 dash cam에서 수집된 4,388건의 스틸 프레임 데이터 기반으로 학습데이터를 구축하였으며, YOLO(You Only Look Once) 알고리즘을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 객체 모두 예측 정밀도가 70% 이상으로 나타났고, 교통사고는 약 85%의 정밀도를 보였다. 또한 mAP(mean Average Precision)의 경우 0.769로 나타났고, 객체별 AP(Average Precision)를 보면 교통사고가 0.904로 가장 높게 나타났고, 낙하물이 0.629로 가장 낮게 나타났다.

뇌파, 시선추적 및 인공지능 기술에 기반한 디지털 도서관 인터페이스 연구: 암묵적 적합성 피드백 활용을 중심으로 (Digital Library Interface Research Based on EEG, Eye-Tracking, and Artificial Intelligence Technologies: Focusing on the Utilization of Implicit Relevance Feedback)

  • 본 연구는 디지털 도서관의 콘텐츠를 탐색하는 동안 이용자의 암묵적 적합성 피드백을 활용하여 적합성을 판단하기 위해 뇌파 기반 및 시선추적 기반 방법들을 제안하고 평가해 보았다. 이를 위해서 32명을 대상으로 하여 동영상, 이미지, 텍스트 데이터를 활용하여 뇌파/시선추적 실험들을 수행하였다. 제안된 방법들의 유용성을 평가하기 위해서, 딥러닝 기반의 인공지능 방법들을 경쟁 기준으로 사용하였다. 평가 결과, 주제에 적합한 동영상과 이미지(얼굴/감정)를 선택하는 데에는 뇌파 컴포넌트 기반 방법들(av_P600, f_P3b)이 높은 분류 정확도를 나타냈고, 이미지(객체)와 텍스트(신문 기사)를 선택하는 데에는 인공지능 기반 방법 즉, 객체 인식 기반 방법과 자연언어 처리 방법이 각각 높은 분류 정확도를 나타냈다. 끝으로, 뇌파, 시선추적 및 인공지능 기술에 기반한 디지털 도서관 인터페이스를 구현하기 위한 지침 즉, 암묵적 적합성 피드백에 기반한 시스템 모형을 제안하고, 분류 정확도를 향상시키기 위해서 미디어별로 적합한 뇌파 기반, 시선추적 기반 및 인공지능 기반 방법들을 제시하였다.

실제 과학수업에서 시선추적과 주의력 검사를 통한 초등학생들의 주의 특성 분석 (An Analysis of Elementary Students' Attention Characteristics through Attention Test and the Eye Tracking on Real Science Classes)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 실제 과학수업에서 시선추적과 주의력 검사를 통해 초등학생들의 주의의 특성을 분석하는 것이다. 초등학생들의 주의 과정을 분석하기 위하여 SMI사의 ETG(eye tracker glasses) 이동형 시선추적기를 사용하였고, 샘플링 속도는 30Hz이다. 사전 주의력 검사의 연구대상은 초등학교 6학년 155명이었고, 시선추적의 연구 대상은 초등학교 6학년 남학생 6명이었다. 시선추적의 연구대상자는 모두 과거 안구병력이 없었으며, 안경을 쓰지 않았다. 안구운동 분석은 'BeGaze Mobile Video Analysis Package' 프로그램을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학생의 주의력 검사 결과, 선택적 주의와 자기통제는 .316으로 낮은 상관을 보였고, 선택적 주의와 지속적 주의는 .85로 높은 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 선택적 주의와 자기 통제의 상관관계를 기준으로 초등학생들의 주의 유형을 주의형(attentive type), 비주의형(inattentive type), 안이형(easygoing type), 경솔형(hasty type)으로 구분하였다. 셋째, 실제 과학수업에서 초등학생들의 안구운동분석을 통해 초등학생들의 주의는 상향식 주의처리, 하향식 주의처리, 디폴트 모드 네트워크로 구분할 수 있었다. 또한 실제 수업에서 초등학생들의 주의 전환은 다양한 원인으로 인해 빈번히 발생하였다. 초등학생들이 목표 지향적이고 지식에 의존하는 하향식 주의 처리를 못하는 원인은 초점주의 실패로 인한 목표 대상 지각의 실패, 목표 대상에 대한 관련지식의 부재, 관련지식에 대한 유추의 실패 등으로 나타났다. 주의력 검사와 안구운동분석을 종합하여 초등학생의 주의 처리과정을 도식하였다. 이 연구에서 밝힌 초등학생의 주의 특성과 주의 처리과정이 효과적인 교수전략, 교수학습 모형, 교수자료를 개발하는데 기초적인 자료로 활용될 것을 기대한다.

대학생 환경교육캠프 사례에서의 집단 토의 활동에 있어서 상호작용 기능과 양상에 따른 역할 형성 양상 (Role Formation by Interaction Function and Pattern for Group Discussion Activity using the case of Environmental Education Camp for Undergraduate Student)

  • 최근 여러 과학 교육 연구와 실제에서 협동 학습이 강조되고 있으며, 그와 유사한 맥락에서 본 연구는 사회문화적 관점에서 학습을 바라보면서 또래 집단 안에서의 학습자 간 상호작용을 통한 의미 구성을 매우 중요한 학습 과정으로 간주하고 있다. 특히 그룹 활동을 통한 학습 과정에 있어서 구성원의 역할 형성 및 분배가 성공적인 상호작용적 학습을 위한 주요 요인임을 전제로 하여, 그룹 내에서 나타나는 학생들의 역할 형성과 분배의 양상을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 에너지 흐름과 물질 순환을 주제로 그룹 토의 활동을 수행한 대학생들을 연구 참여자로 선정하였으며, 총 9명의 학생들이 하나의 그룹을 이루어 토의 주제에 대한 인지적 대화뿐 아니라 토의 결과 발표를 위한 자료 준비에 관한 대화를 나누었다. 이들의 토의 과정을 모두 비디오 녹화 및 전사하여 연구 자료로 삼았다. 연구 참여자들 간의 상호작용을 분석하기 위해 상호작용 기능과 요소를 코드화하였으며, 발화 양상을 도식화하기 위한 기호를 개발하여 적용하였다. 상호작용 기능은 인지적, 조직적, 초인지적, 조작적 상호작용의 4가지로 구분되었고, 상호작용 요소는 질문, 단순응답, 의견제시, 의견받기의 4가지 행위 요소 및 각 행위 요소별 2~4가지의 의도 요소로 구성되었다. 연구 결과, 상호작용 기능과 요소에 따라 인지적 질문자, 조작적 질문자, 단순응답자, 조작적 제안자, 조직적 지시자, 조작적 지시자, 인지적 설명자, 정리자, 반성자의 총 9개 역할이 도출되었다. 그리고 이들은 발화의 순서와 대상에 따라 7개의 발화 양상으로 재유형화되었으며, 이들 발화 양상의 특성과 상호작용에 작용하고 있는 역할의 기능에 따라 상호작용 촉진, 지속, 종료의 3가지 역할 그룹으로 구분되었다. 이는 그룹 내에서 구성원들의 역할이 어떻게 형성 및 작용하느냐가 상호작용과 학습에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 보여주는 것으로써, 본 연구의 결과는 교수학습방법으로서의 협동 학습을 비롯하여 프로젝트, 자유 탐구, 동아리 활동 등 다양한 집단적 상호작용을 통한 학습 과정에 대한 시사점을 줄 수 있으며, 특히 그룹 단위의 학습에 있어서 역할을 상호작용이라는 측면에서 재조명했다는 의의가 있다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm.
