This paper introduces the results of acoustic loads test conducted on the upper stage assembly of KSLV-I, which is the first Korea space launch vehicle. A launch vehicle and its payloads are subjected to severe acoustic pressure loading when they lift off and ascent during the transonic periods. Acoustic loadings are spreaded out broad frequncy-spectrum up to 10,000Hz. Acoustic loads are a primary source of structural random vibration of the upper stage and payloads. Therefore, in order to verify the structural integrity of the upper stage assembly of KSLV-I and the survivability of its components under severe random vibration environment, acoustic loads test is conducted in the high intensity acoustic chamber with 142dB (overall SPL). The results show the structural design and component random vibration specifications well meet with the environmental requirements.
Fourier series-based models in the time domain are frequently established to represent individual bouncing loads, which neglects the stochastic property of human bouncing activity. A power spectral density (PSD) model in the frequency domain for individual bouncing loads is developed herein. An experiment was conducted on individual bouncing loads, resulting in 957 records linked to form long samples to achieve a fine frequency resolution. The Welch method was applied to the linked samples to obtain the experimental PSD, which was normalized by the bouncing frequency and the harmonic order. The energy, energy distribution center, and energy distribution shape of the experimental PSD were investigated to establish the PSD model. The proposed model was used to analyze structural vibration responses using stochastic vibration theory, which was verified via field measurements. It is believed that this framework can evaluate the vibration capacity of structures excited by bouncing crowds, such as concert halls and grandstands.

Stadium stand could be led to significant dynamic response due to rhythmical activities of spectator. The dynamic loads induced by spectators movements are considered as static loads in design standard of many countries but these loads have dynamic characteristics. So, it is desirable to apply measured dynamic loads created by spectator activities and to analyze the dynamic behavior of stadium system. The precise investigation of the dynamic loads on stadium structures and the accurate analysis of dynamic behavior of stadium systems are demanded for effective design. As the floor mesh of stadium stand is refined, the number of nodes increase in numerical analysis. So it is difficult to analyze entire stadium structures and much more computer memory are necessary for vibration analysis of stadium system. In this study, the various dynamic loads induced by spectator movements are measured and analyzed. And new modeling method that reduce the nodal points of stadium systems are introduced. Vibration analysis of stadium system is executed to inspect the accuracy and the efficiency of proposed method in this paper.

Brake judder, one of low Sequency vibrations in brake system is determined by the excitation of Brake Torque Variation (BTV). The largest contributor to BTV is disc thickness variation. In this study, the static loads of brake torque at Suspension Mounting Points (SW) are obtained by the quasi-static analysis using DADS. The dynamic loads with frequency of BTV at SW are derived from correlation between forced vibration analysis with static loads and brake test results. And the accelerations at steering wheel were analyzed by forced vibration analysis with dynamic loads using commercial finite element program MSC/NASTRAN so that vibration characteristics of vehicle due to brake judder were investigated. Reliability of analysis results was verified through comparing the brake test results. Also, a parametric study with natural frequencies of frame, such as the 1st torsional mode and 1st bending mode, was conducted to reduce vibration amplitudes. As a result we could detect frame natural frequency conditions to improve vibration characteristics and obtained the frame model to reduce vibration amplitude.
In this study, a theoretical method to analyze the vibration of a T-type Timoshenko frame is proposed. The effects of axial inertia, rotatory inertia and shear deformation of each branch are considered. The orthogonality of any two distinct sets of mode shape functions is also demonstrated. Vibration of the frame due to moving loads is studied by the method and the response characteristics of the frame are investigated. Furthermore, the effect of column length on the response of the frame is also studied.

Building structures which are in need of large open space make the damping effect of the structures decrease greatly. Assembly and office buildings with a lower natural frequency have a higher possibility of experiencing excessive vibration induced by human activities. These excessive vibration make the residents uncomfortable and the serviceability deterioration. The loads induced by human activities were classified into two types. First type is in place loads as like jumping, foot stamping and body bouncing. The other type is moving loads as like walking, running and dancing. A series of laboratories experiments had been conducted to study the dynamic loads induced by human activities, The earlier works were mainly concerned to parameters study of dynamic loads as like activity type, weight, sex, surface condition of structure and etc. In this paper, we have measured directly the walking loads by using the platform. And we have evaluated and analyzed load-time history of walking loads. One of the most important parameter is pacing rate (walking speed) in the walking loads. The difference between the maximum value and minimum value of walking loads depends on the walking speed.

In General, the measured loads and load-time function suggested by Bachmann iota walking are used for vibration analysis of structures subjected to footstep loads. It is not easy to measure walking loads because they we influenced by various parameters. Therefore, it is needed to model the walking loads that can be applied to structure analysis. Parameter study is used for the walking loads having various walking frequency for vibration analysis of structures under walking loads. In this study, walking loads were measured directly by using a force plate within two load cells, and the parameters of the walking loads were analyzed. The measured walking loads are decomposed into harmonic loads by using the Fouler series. Functional relationship between the walking frequency and the Fourier coefficients can be derived from the coefficients of harmonic loads obtained by the decomposition process, and the walking loads were formulated. It is possible to apply the venerated walking loads easily or conveniently by the proposed equation to the analysis of a structure subjected to walking loads.
In this study, the influence of centrally placed circular and square cutouts on vibration and buckling characteristics of different ply-oriented laminated panels under the action of compressive and/or tensile types of non-uniform in-plane edge loads are investigated. The panels are inspected under the action of uniaxial compression, uniaxial tension and biaxial, compression-tension, loading configurations. Furthermore, the effects of different degrees of edge restraints and panel aspect ratios are also addressed in this work. Towards this, a nine-node heterosis plate element has been adopted which includes the effect of shear deformation and rotary inertia. According to the results, the tensile buckling loads are higher than that of compressive buckling loads. However, the tensile buckling load continuously reduces with the increased cutout sizes irrespective of ply-orientations. This is also true for compressive buckling loads except for some particular ply-orientations with higher sized cutouts.
The effect of dead loads on dynamic responses of a uniform elastic beam subjected to moving loads is examined by means of a governing equation which takes into account initial bending stresses due to dead loads. First, the governing equation of beams which includes the effect of dead loads is briefly presented from the author's paper (1990, 1991, 2010). The effect of dead loads is considered by a strain energy produced by conservative initial stresses caused by the dead loads. Second, the effect of dead loads on dynamical responses produced by moving loads in simply supported beams is confirmed by the results of numerical computations using the Galerkin method and Wilson-${\theta}$ method. It is shown that the dynamical responses by moving loads are decreased remarkably on a heavyweight beam when the effect of dead loads is included. Third, an approximate solution of dynamic deflections including the effect of dead loads for a uniform beam subjected to moving loads is presented in a closed-form for the case without the additional mass due to moving loads. The proposed solution shows a good agreement with results of numerical computations with the Galerkin method and Wilson-${\theta}$ method. Finally it is clarified that the effect of dead loads on elastic uniform beams subjected to moving loads acts on the restraint of the transverse vibration for the both cases without and with the additional mass due to moving loads.

Rocket propulsion systems generate very high level noise (acoustic loads), which is due to supersonic jet of rocket propulsion system. In practice, the sound power level of rocket propulsion systems is over 180 ㏈. This high level noise excites rocket structures and payloads, so that it causes the structural failure and electronic malfunctioning of payloads. Prediction method of acoustic loads of rocket enables us to determine the safety of payloads. (omitted)
