This study reports the effects of $H_2S$ gas concentration on the properties of $Cu_2ZnSnS_4(CZTS)$ thin films. Specifically, sulfurization process with low $H_2S$ concentrations of 0.05% and 0.1%, along with 5% $H_2S$ gas, was studied. CZTS films were directly synthesized on Mo/Si substrates by chemical bath deposition method using copper sulfate, zinc sulfate heptahydrate, tin chloride dihydrate, and sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate. Smooth CZTS films were grown on substrates at optimized chemical bath deposition condition. The CZTS films sulfurized at low $H_2S$ concentrations of 0.05 % and 0.1% showed very rough and porous film morphology, whereas the film sulfurized at 5% $H_2S$ yielded a very smooth and dense film morphology. The CZTS films were fully crystallized in kesterite crystal form when they were sulfurized at $500^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. The kesterite CZTS film showed a reasonably good room-temperature photoluminescence spectrum that peaked in a range of 1.4 eV to 1.5 eV, consistent with the optimal bandgap for CZTS solar cell applications.

Large scale integrated circuits (LSIs) has been improved by the shrinkage of the circuit dimensions. The smaller chip sizes and increase in circuit density require the miniaturization of the line-width and space between metal interconnections. Therefore, an extreme precise control of the critical dimension and pattern profile is necessary to fabricate next generation nano-electronics devices. The pattern profile control of plasma etching with an accuracy of sub-nanometer must be achieved. To realize the etching process which achieves the problem, understanding of the etching mechanism and precise control of the process based on the real-time monitoring of internal plasma parameters such as etching species density, surface temperature of substrate, etc. are very important. For instance, it is known that the etched profiles of organic low dielectric (low-k) films are sensitive to the substrate temperature and density ratio of H and N atoms in the H2/N2 plasma [1]. In this study, we introduced a feedback control of actual substrate temperature and radical density ratio monitored in real time. And then the dependence of etch rates and profiles of organic films have been evaluated based on the substrate temperatures. In this study, organic low-k films were etched by a dual frequency capacitively coupled plasma employing the mixture of H2/N2 gases. A 100-MHz power was supplied to an upper electrode for plasma generation. The Si substrate was electrostatically chucked to a lower electrode biased by supplying a 2-MHz power. To investigate the effects of H and N radical on the etching profile of organic low-k films, absolute H and N atom densities were measured by vacuum ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy [2]. Moreover, using the optical fiber-type low-coherence interferometer [3], substrate temperature has been measured in real time during etching process. From the measurement results, the temperature raised rapidly just after plasma ignition and was gradually saturated. The temporal change of substrate temperature is a crucial issue to control of surface reactions of reactive species. Therefore, by the intervals of on-off of the plasma discharge, the substrate temperature was maintained within ${\pm}1.5^{\circ}C$ from the set value. As a result, the temperatures were kept within $3^{\circ}C$ during the etching process. Then, we etched organic films with line-and-space pattern using this system. The cross-sections of the organic films etched for 50 s with the substrate temperatures at $20^{\circ}C$ and $100^{\circ}C$ were observed by SEM. From the results, they were different in the sidewall profile. It suggests that the reactions on the sidewalls changed according to the substrate temperature. The precise substrate temperature control method with real-time temperature monitoring and intermittent plasma generation was suggested to contribute on realization of fine pattern etching.
Ceramic femoral heads in the total hip replacement have been developed to reduce the polyethylene liner wear, Alumina and zirconia (3Y-TZP) having the excellent tribological properties are coupled against acetabular cups of polyethylene and are used in clinical application worldwide. However, alumina has a risk of catastrophic failure, and zirconia has the low temperature degradation in spite of enhanced fracture toughness. Recently, novel zirconia/alumina composite is very attractive due to the low temperature degradation (LTD)-free character and high fracture toughness. In the present study, we focus on the wear of ceramic on ceramic, which are able to be used as femoral heads and acetabular cups. Therefore, LTD-free zirconia/alumina composites with three compositions are made in a form of disk and cylinder, and the wear of the composites is performed on pin-on-disk type wear tester. The wear is conducted with or without lubricant. All the composites fabricated with the different composition show the good wear resistance.
The ammonia-water based power generation cycle utilizing liquefied natural gas (LNG) as its heat sink has attracted much attention, since the ammonia-water cycle has many thermodynamic advantages in conversion of low-grade heat source in the form of sensible energy and LNG has a great cold energy. In this paper, we carry out thermodynamic performance analysis of a combined power generation cycle which is consisted of an ammonia-water regenerative Rankine cycle and LNG power generation cycle. LNG is able to condense the ammonia-water mixture at a very low condensing temperature in a heat exchanger, which leads to an increased power output. Based on the thermodynamic models, the effects of the key parameters such as source temperature, ammonia concentration and turbine inlet pressure on the characteristics of system are throughly investigated. The results show that the thermodynamic performance of the ammonia-water power generation cycle can be improved by the LNG cold energy and there exist an optimum ammonia concentration to reach the maximum system net work production.
The HDDR process can be used as an effective means of processing of the coercive Nd-Fe-B-type or the Sm2Fe17Nx materials. The HDDR (hydrogenation, disproportionation, desorption, recombination) processed materials are feartured with a very fine microstructure. The thermomagnetic characteristics of the Nd-Fe-B-type or the Sm2Fe17Nx materials with fine microstructure due to the HDDR process were investigated. It has been found that the fine-microstructured hard magnetic materials showed an unusual TMA (Thermomagnetic analysis) tracting featured with a low and constant magnetization at lower temperature range and a peak just below their Curie temperatures when a low external field is applied. This thermomagnetic characteristic was immediate particularly in the TMA with a low applied field. This thermomagnetic characteristic was interpreted in terms of the competition between two counteracting effects; the decrease in magnetication due to the thermal agitation at an elevated temperature and the increase in magnetization resulting from the rotation of magnetization of the fine grains comparable to a critical single domain size due to the decreased magnetocrystalline anisotropy at an elevated temperature.
In this paper we present an LDO based on an error amplifier. The designed error amplifier has a gain of 89.93dB at low frequencies. This amplifier's Bandwidth is 50.8MHz and its phase margin is $59.2^{\circ}C$. Also we proposed a BGR. This BGR has a low output variation with temperature and its PSRR at 1 KHz is -71.5dB. For a temperature variation from $-40^{\circ}C$ to $125^{\circ}C$ we have just 9.4mV variation in 3.3V LDO output. Also it is stable for a wide range of output load currents [0-200mA] and a $1{\mu}F$ output capacitor and its line regulation and especially load regulation is very small comparing other papers. The PSRR of proposed LDO is -61.16dB at 1 KHz. Also we designed it for several output voltages by using a ladder of resistors, transmission gates and a decoder. Low power consumption is the other superiority of this LDO which is just 1.55mW in full load. The circuit was designed in $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS process.
In this study, condensation heat transfer coefficients(HTCs) of CFC-11, HCFC-123 and HCFC-141b are measured, which are used/or considered as working fluids in centrifugal chillers. The main objectives of this study are to measure and compare the HTCs of various refrigerants on plain and low fin tubes and also to find out the optimum fin density of the low fin tubes. To accomplish these goals, HTCs of three refrigerants are measured for the plain tube as well as 4 types of low fin tubes. All measurements are carried out at the vapor temperature of 39.deg. C with the wall temperature difference of 3 .deg. C ~ 8.deg. C. For all the refrigerants tested, a low fin tube of 28 fins per inch yielded the best performance among all the tubes tested. For the plain tube, the HTCs of CFC-11 and HCFC-141b were very similar and those of HCFC-123 were 10% lower than those of CFC-11.Thus, it can be concluded that HCFC-123 and HCFC-141b are acceptable as alternative refrigerants for CFC-11 from the view point of condensation heat transfer.
Oxidative degradation of chlorinated ethenes was carried out using heat-activated persulfate. The activation rate of persulfate was dependent on the temperature and the activation reaction rate could be explained based on the Arrhenius equation. The activation energy of persulfate was 19.3 kcal/mol under the assumption that the reaction between the sulfate radical and tricholoroethene (TCE) is very fast. Activation could be achieved at a moderate temperature, so that the adverse effects due to high temperature in the soil environment were mitigated. The reaction rate of TCE was directly proportional to the concentration of persulfate, indicating that the remediation rate can be controlled by the concentration of the injected persulfate. The solution was acidized after the oxidation, and this was dependent on the oxidation temperature. The consumption rate of persulfate was high in the presence of the target organic, but the self-decomposition rate became very low as the target was completely removed.
Coal tar pitch was used to study the effect of the pyrolysis conditions to produce mesophase pitch used as a matrix precursor for carbon/carbon composites. The pyrolysis conditions were presented in all cases that the total pressure was 1 atm and the first stage temperature was changed from 25$0^{\circ}C$ to 34$0^{\circ}C$ to remove the low molecular weight compounds in the pitch, and then, heated to 40$0^{\circ}C$ to form anisotropic mesophase as the second stage temperature. The first stage temperature was very affected to form resulting anisotropic mesophase pitch. The resulting mesophase pitches show a significantly increased anisotropic contents upto 30$0^{\circ}C$. However, the contents of mesophase were decreased above 30$0^{\circ}C$. It was the reason that the first stage temperature had been control the number of free radicals to react the aromatic compounds in the pitch to form high molecular weight compound. Therefore, the two stage pyrolysis method could be very effectively used to control various contents of anisotropic polyaromatic mesophase compared to continuous to continuous heating method.
