Version Management System of Hierarchy Interface System for CAD Database (CAD 데이터 베이스를 위한 HIS에서의 버전 관리 시스템)

  • For a effective management and easy tool integration of CAD database, Hierarchy interface System(HIS) was designed and GROCO(Graph Representation fOr Complex Objects) Model was presented in another my paper[10]. Hierarchy Interface System which is composed of two subsystems of a configurator and a converter is designed for the interface between a conventional database management system and CAD tools. In this paper, Version Management System is presented for supporting effective operations of HIS using GROCO model. Version Management System supports efficiently CAD database charaters having a hierarchical structure of composite objects. In Version Management System, A design evolves in discrete states through mutation and derivation for going phases of design giving rise to multiple versions. Operations and rules are provided transition between their different states. and for controlling update propagation and preventing version proliferation. Version Modeling Graph is proposed for dealing with versioning at the instance and type levels.

  • CMS-MX(CDMA Mobile System-Mobile eXchange) software has a large-scale and needs frequency chanbes to adopt new functions. Therefore, an efficient version management is necessary for the software. General-purpose version management system are not suitable for the CMS-MX software, which consists of various types of files and has its own development method. In this paper, we present a version management system for the CMS-MX software. The version management system provides file registration control. version control, and information management on the basis of software configuration and soft ware developer information in accordance with CMS-MX software developement procement process. It has characteristics such as full file storing, file verification, and association with software integration process.

  • Rapid computing environment, change of the application structure, and various user demand will increase the demand of the software development. Version control is helpful to improve productivity using delta, and useful to establish component from existing data of source code. This paper presents the design and implementation of the version control system. which is composed of retrieval system and delta management system. In retrieval system, vanous retrieve methods arc proposed. This methods provides the process methodology with filename, content, size and date. Various retrieve methods arc important for the effective delta management. Meta data can be easily composed for the delta management by these methods. Compared with other systems, this implemented version control system has some advantage. First, for delta management, version maintenance for delta management becomes easier by integrating the forward and back-ward methods. Second, delta managent part of a project is to unite the forward and backward method. the effieiency of this system is to increased in management. Also, this system supports a thechnique of using the database and files for project repository and makes the version management more effective.

  • Recently, business environments have been changing quickly. To establish competitive advantage, most enterprises have been using information systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Many consider Business Process Management (BPM) a new innovative solution for enterprise-wide processes. As the BPM system is used more widely and matures, new techniques and functions will be developed by commercial vendors. However, they mainly focus on correctly executing process models, and user convenience has not been considered. In this paper, we have developed a new method of designing business processes, which provides users with an easy modeling interface. The method is based on version management. Version management of a process enables a history of the process model to be recorded. In order to prevent wasted storage, not all of the process versions are stored. An initial version and changes to each process are stored by automatically detecting changes. Our method enhances the convenience of the modeling business processes and thus helps the process designer. A prototype system is presented to verify the effectiveness of our method.

  • Software development process evolves by component based development(CBD) process and introduction to configuration management system is risen recently. In this paper, we explained component configuration management system evolved out of CBD methodology and focused on the specification management in component configuration management. The component specification is being based on XML that is a normalization document. Also, component version management and dependency management are achieved by a component name. And component dependency information is just the integration information using a component specification name used in the composition when component specification is composed. Thus we confirmed possibility of version management and dependency management using the specification.

  • Mobile facility management system is a on-site management tool to collect and update various facility data. But there is a chance to make a data inconsistency between lot of concurrent workers. And facility management system requires to keep records about work log within a certain period of time. This paper describes the design and implementation of mobile facility management system, which provide efficient data synchronization mechanism using version managent technique on large facility data in concurrent work environment. And proposed system is able to keep workers update log persistently.

  • The project of advanced urban transit system (AUTS)development is developing the advanced vehicle and the core technologies for the cost down by system change, the transport safety and the environmental friendliness and the improvement of passenger service. The product data management(PDM) system is installed for management of each project. Various data and informations producted from each project are made for database. We developed the product data management system for advanced urban transit system. In past, it was AUTS-PDM of C/S version. Now, we develop AUTS-PDM of Web version.

  • This paper proposes a change management system of sensor network applications based on version synchronization that supports to effectively manage defect correction of applications, change of functions for applications or improvement of applications without suspending the sensor network. The proposed change management system consists of the NADE which is an application development environment, the Node Management Server, and the Node Agent. NADE is an Eclipse-based development environment for developing applications which are installed into nodes. NADE is also connected with CVSNT which is a version management tool and performs application version management using the CVSNT. Node Management Server manages nodes to maintain latest versions of applications by synchronizing versions of applications which are performed on the nodes with the versions of applications which are developed in the NADE. Node Agent which is loaded into the node periodically sends the version information of the application to the server, and stores and updates the version information of the application. Through the proposed change management system, applications of nodes are automatically updated when versions of applications are changed by correcting defects, changing functions or improving applications. Therefore, the user can effectively manage the execution of sensor network system without suspending or delaying the sensor network. Also, visibility of change management for sensor network applications will be improved.

  • Ontology has an important role in semantic web to construct and query semantic data. When system make changes to ontologies, questions arise about versioning of these changes. Applying this changes on a dynamic environment is even more important. To apply these changes, change specification method is needed. Early studies show RDF-based syntax for the operations between old and new ontologies. When several ontology versions can be used for some query, if possible, using possible newest version ontology with prospective use is best way to process the query. Prospective use of ontology means using a newer version of an ontology with a data source that conforms to a more recent ontology. In this paper, for prospective use of ontology version, structure of change specification of class and property through several ontology versions is proposed. From this, efficient adaptive ontology version selection for a query can be possible. Algorithm for structure of version transition representation is proposed and simulation results show possible newest version number for queries.
