다중회귀모형을 이용한 벤츄리가 없는 충격기류식 여과집진장치 압력손실 예측 (Pressure Drop Predictions Using Multiple Regression Model in Pulse Jet Type Bag Filter Without Venturi)

  • In this study, pressure drop was measured in the pulse jet bag filter without venturi on which 16 numbers of filter bags (Ø$140{\times}850{\ell}$) are installed according to operation condition(filtration velocity, inlet dust concentration, pulse pressure, and pulse interval) using coke dust from steel mill. The obtained 180 pressure drop test data were used to predict pressure drop with multiple regression model so that pressure drop data can be used for effective operation condition and as basic data for economical design. The prediction results showed that when filtration velocity was increased by 1%, pressure drop was increased by 2.2% which indicated that filtration velocity among operation condition was attributed on the pressure drop the most. Pressure was dropped by 1.53% when pulse pressure was increased by 1% which also confirmed that pulse pressure was the major factor affecting on the pressure drop next to filtration velocity. Meanwhile, pressure drops were found increased by 0.3% and 0.37%, respectively when inlet dust concentration and pulse interval were increased by 1% implying that the effects of inlet dust concentration and pulse interval were less as compared with those changes of filtration velocity and pulse pressure. Therefore, the larger effect on the pressure drop the pulse jet bag filter was found in the order of filtration velocity($V_f$), pulse pressure($P_p$), inlet dust concentration($C_i$), pulse interval($P_i$). Also, the prediction result of filtration velocity, inlet dust concentration, pulse pressure, and pulse interval which showed the largest effect on the pressure drop indicated that stable operation can be executed with filtration velocity less than 1.5 m/min and inlet dust concentration less than $4g/m^3$. However, it was regarded that pulse pressure and pulse interval need to be adjusted when inlet dust concentration is higher than $4g/m^3$. When filtration velocity and pulse pressure were examined, operation was possible regardless of changes in pulse pressure if filtration velocity was at 1.5 m/min. If filtration velocity was increased to 2 m/min. operation would be possible only when pulse pressure was set at higher than $5.8kgf/cm^2$. Also, the prediction result of pressure drop with filtration velocity and pulse interval showed that operation with pulse interval less than 50 sec. should be carried out under filtration velocity at 1.5 m/min. While, pulse interval should be set at lower than 11 sec. if filtration velocity was set at 2 m/min. Under the conditions of filtration velocity lower than 1 m/min and high pulse pressure higher than $7kgf/cm^2$, though pressure drop would be less, in this case, economic feasibility would be low due to increased in installation and operation cost since scale of dust collection equipment becomes larger and life of filtration bag becomes shortened due to high pulse pressure.

유량 제어장치인 가변스로틀밸브의 기하학적 형상변화에 따른 공기역학 특성분석 연구 (A numerical study on the aerodynamic characteristics of a variable geometry throttle valve(VGTV) system controlling air-flow rate)

  • 가솔린엔진의 출력제어를 위해 나비형(butterfly-type) 스로틀밸브가 응용되고 있다. 그러나 기존의 나비형 스로틀밸브는 밸브 후방에서 발생하는 강한 와류현상으로 인해 매우 큰 흡입 유로의 저항을 유발하게 된다. 이러한 유로저항은 엔진의 체적효율(volumetric efficiency)을 떨어뜨려 궁극적으로 엔진의 출력과 효율에 부정적인 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 CFD수치해석 기법을 이용하여 기존 나비형 스로틀밸브의 문제점 개선을 위해 제안한 벤투리형(venturi-type) 가변스로틀밸브(VGTV)의 공기역학적 작동특성에 관해 알아보았으며, 본 장치의 유량과 저항계수($K_L$)의 변화특성 분석을 통해 가솔린엔진의 체적효율 개선효과를 평가하는데 연구의 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 기존의 나비형 스로틀밸브에 비해 새롭게 제안된 벤투리형 가변스로틀밸브의 유로저항이 평균 49.0%정도 개선된다는 사실을 알 수 있었으며, 이는 엔진의 체적효율과 출력에 매우 큰 영향을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

수리동력학적 캐비테이션을 이용한 하수 슬러지의 전처리-II: 소화효율 향상 (Pre-Treatment of Sewage Sludge by Hydrodynamic Cavitation-II: Enhancement of Digestion Efficiency)

  • 하수 처리장에서 발생하는 폐활성슬러지는 대부분 미생물로 구성되어 있으며, 단단한 세포벽 때문에 혐기성 소화에 의한 안정화가 힘들다. 이를 극복할 수 있는 다양한 전처리 방법 가운데 하나가 벤츄리를 이용한 수리동력학적 캐비테이션 방법 (venturi cavitation system, VCS)이다. 본 연구에서는 VCS을 사용한 전처리가 폐활성슬러지의 소화효율에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. VCS로 전처리한 슬러지는 대조군에 비하여 전처리 기간에 따라 메탄 발생량, COD 제거효율, VS 제거효율이 각각 41~45%, 36.5~43.1%, 18.4~24.1%가 증가하였다. 또한 전처리에 의하여 SCOD를 증가시켜 투입하였을 때, 증가된 SCOD의 이론적 메탄가스 발생량보다 약 3.3~4.2배 많은 메탄이 발생한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 VCS에 의한 전처리에서 슬러지의 가용화 현상에 의하여 소화효율이 향상되었을 뿐 아니라 가용화가 되지 않은 입자상 부분도 소화에 유리한 상태로 개량되었음을 의미한다. 전처리를 위해 투입한 에너지와 메탄가스의 발생 증가분에 대한 에너지 수지를 계산하였을 때 대부분의 조건에서 에너지 회수가 가능하여, VCS 장치의 현장 적용성이 높을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Since 1960, the change of architectural trend was dominated by two factors ; the one, the introduction of theory of language (including semantic, syntactic, pragmatic, linguistic, semiotic, structuralism, post-structurism) in design concept, the other, the adaption of high technology in building construction. In particular, the theory of language played an important role in the emergence of new tendency, which could be the alternative of modern architecture. Post-modernism and Typology in the 1960-70s, Deconstructivism in the 1980s and 'Folding' architecture in the 1990s, have continually borrowed a theoretical base from the thee of language. Placing the focus on the relation of contemporary architecture and theory of language with the interdisciplinary view, this study comes to the conclusion that the diverse architectural tendencies since 1960 depend on the 'champ d'enonce', which Michel Foucault, French philosopher, defined in his . The writings of many architects, like Robert Venturi, Micheal Graves, Aldo Rossi, Peter Eisenman, Rem Koolhaas, Bernard Tschumi, Gerg Lynn demonstrate our conclusion. This is an important finding which make possible consistent understanding about contemporary architecture.

HEATED INTRACLUSTER GAS AND RADIO CONNECTIONS: THE SINGULAR CASE OF MKW 3S

  • Similarly to other cluster of galaxies previously classified as cooling flow systems, the Chandra observation of MKW 3s reveals that this object has a complex X-ray structure hosting both a X-ray cavity and a X-ray filament. Unlike the other clusters, however, the temperature map of the core of MKW 3s shows the presence of extended regions of gas heated above the radially averaged gas temperature at any radius. As the cluster does not show evidences for ongoing major mergers Mazzotta et al. suggest a connection between the heated gas and the activity of the central AGN. Nevertheless, due to the lack of high quality radio maps, this interpretation was controversial. In this paper we present the results of two new radio observations of MKW 3s at 1.28 GHz and 604 MHz obtained at the GMRT. Together with the Chandra observation and a separate VLA observation at 327 MHz from Young, we show unequivocal evidences for a close connection between the heated gas region and the AGN activity and we briefly summarize possible implications.

고온 세라믹필터의 펄스젯 탈진 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance of Pulse Jet Cleaning in High Temperature Filter)

  • To evaluate parameters influencing on the dust removal of the High Temperature Filter(HTF) system, a computer simulation of fluid dynamics inside the system had been performed. The results showed that the optimum pulse jet periods were 50ms and 90ms for the 1000mm and 1500mm long filter elements respectively. Dust removal effect was very excellent under the pulse jet pressure of 3 bar. But the distance between the pulse jet nozzle and the venturi of a filter element had no meaningful effect on the performance with the variation from 5mm to 10mm. Compared to the dispersion mode of pulse jet, the collective mode of pulse jet flow was preferable in maintaining the pressure inside the system stable.

추적자를 이용한 원전 주급수 계통유량 측정법

  • 원자력 발전소의 주급수 유량은 원자로 열출력 산출에 사용되는 중요한 변수로서 , 노심관리 뿐만 아니라 원자로 안전 운전에도 중요하며, 발전소 출력에 직접적인 영향을 미친다. 원자력발전소의 주급수 유량은 1% 의 허용오차로 설계되어 있으나, 사용년수의 증가 및 운전조건의 영향 둥으로 정확도의 유지가 어려운 실정이다. 주급수 유량을 정확도 $\pm$0.5% 이내로 측정한다면 1000 MW 급 원자력 발전소에서 최대 10MW 의 전기출력 복구가 가능하며, 이를 위해 주급수 유량 측정 설비의 정확도 검증과 보정을 할 수 있는 정확한 유량 측정법의 개발이 절실하다. 본 연구에서는 화학 추적자 방법에 의한 정밀 유량 측정기술을 개발하여, 원자력 발전소 주급수 계통의 유량 측정에 사용되고 있는 벤츄리(venturi), 노즐(nozzle), 오리피스(orifice) 등의 유량검증에 활용함으로서 발전소의 안전성을 유지하면서 동시에 출력을 극대화하는 것을 목표로 하여 추적자 이용 유량 검증기를 설계 제작하였으며 그 정확도와 유효성에 대한 실험적 검토를 하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 추적자 방법은 유량 번동에 좋은 응답성을 보이고 있으며, 유량 측정에 있어서도 정확도 $\pm$ 0.5 % 이내의 매우 신뢰성 있는 측정이 가능하다.

  • Thermal output in a nuclear power plant is verified with calorimetric heat balance on the secondary plant. The calorimetry involves the precise measurement of the feedwater flow rate. However, the correct indication of feedwater flow rate obtained by a pressure-difference measurement across a venturi can be affected by instrument errors, fouling or a poorly developed velocity profile. This can result in an inaccurate mass flow rate and consequently an inaccurate estimate of power. The purpose of this study is to develop verification methods with accuracy better than $0.5\%$ for high precision flow measurement to be used for measuring feedwater flow rate. This chemical tracer method is a testing process that uses tracers which can be applied to quantify losses in electrical output due to the incorrect measurements of feedwater flow rate. And this system has good response to the variation of the flow rate. Accuracy of better than 0.5 percent can be expected for feedwater flow measurement, providing that the system can be stabilized during the test. This methodology is applicable to other flow systems well.

양액 자동조제용 액제 정밀계량 장치 개발 (Development of a Low -Cost and Precise Liquid Metering Device for Automatic Nutrient-Solution Control)

  • A low-cost and precise metering device, which is suitable to automatic mixing of nutrient-solution for hydroponic culture, was developed for small-scale growers. The metering device was composed of three parts those were supply pumps, metering cylinders and venturi tube. Those parts were controlled by personal computer with time-based odoff control method. To verify the performance of the developed metering device, the relationship between operating time and discharge was examined and the accuracy of the developed metering device was compared with commercial metering pumps. The results of this study are as follows. 1. The correlation coefficient between the flow rate and operating time was 0.9999, and the linear regression equation computed was y=21.759x, where y is the discharge(g) and x is the operating time(s). 2. The developed device has greater accuracy than commercial metering pumps in terms of the full-scale error. Calculated errors for the developed metering device and two commercial pump were $\pm$0.3 %, $\pm$2.45 % and $\pm$1.38 % respectively. 3. Above results show developed metering device is a useful tool for nutrient-solution control system.

KSR-III 추진기관 공급계 pogo 해석 (Pogo Analysis on the KSR-III Propulsion Feeding System)

  • 본 연구에서는 액체 로켓의 축방향 불안정성에 대한 개요와 국내 최초의 액체 추진로켓인 과학로켓 3호 (KSR-III) 추진기관 공급계 시스템에 대한 주파수 특성에 대한 결과를 다룬다. 공급계에 설치된 여러 구성품 중 벨로우즈와 벤튜리의 cavitation volume이 공급계의 주파수 특성에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 벨로우즈는 공급계의 고유진동수를 낮추는 데 큰 역할을 함을 알 수 있다. 또한 KSR-III의 산화제와 연료 공급계의 고유진동수는 각각 약 280Hz와 90Hz임을 알 수 있다.
