Vehicles have increasingly evolved and become intelligent with convergence of information and communications technologies (ICT). Vehicle communications (VC) has become one of the major necessities for intelligent vehicles. However, VC suffers from serious security problems that hinder its commercialization. Hence, the IEEE 1609 Wireless Access Vehicular Environment (WAVE) protocol defines a security service for VC. This service includes Advanced Encryption Standard-Counter with CBC-MAC (AES-CCM) for data encryption in VC. A high-speed AES-CCM crypto module is necessary, because VC requires a fast communication rate between vehicles. In this study, we propose and implement an efficient AES-CCM hardware architecture for high-speed VC. First, we propose a 32-bit substitution table (S_Box) to reduce the AES module latency. Second, we employ key box register files to save key expansion results. Third, we save the input and processed data to internal register files for secure encryption and to secure data from external attacks. Finally, we design a parallel architecture for both cipher block chaining message authentication code (CBC-MAC) and the counter module in AES-CCM to improve performance. For implementation of the field programmable gate array (FPGA) hardware, we use a Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA chip. The entire operation of the AES-CCM module is validated by timing simulations in Xilinx ISE at a speed of 166.2 MHz.
The e-Logistics means the virtual business activity and service architecture among the logistics companies based on the Internet technology. The management of vehicles' location in most conventional vehicle tracking system has some critical defects when it deals with data which are continuously changed. It means the conventional vehicle tracking system based on the conventional database is unable eventually to cope with the environment that should manage the frequently changed location of vehicles. The important things in the evaluation of the vehicle tracking system is to determine the threshold of cost of database ,update period and communication period between vehicles and the system. In other words, the difference between the reallocation of vehicle and the data in database can evaluate the overall performance of vehicle tracking systems. Most of the previous works considers only the information that is valid at the current time, and is hard to manage efficiently the past and future information. To overcome this problem, the efforts on moving objects management system(MOMS) and uncertainty processing have been started from a few years ago. In this paper, we propose an uncertainty processing model and system implementation of moving object that tracks the location of the vehicles. We adopted both linear-interpolation method and trigonometric function to chase up the location of vehicles for the past time as well as future time, respectively. We also explain the comprehensive examples of MOMS and uncertainty processing in parcel application that is one of major application of e-Logistics domain.

Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is a subset of Internet of Things (IoT) and it is an infrastructure for vehicles. Therefore, IoV consists of three main network including inter-vehicle network, intra-vehicle network, and vehicular mobile internet. IoV mainly used in urban traffic environment to provide network access for drivers, passengers and traffic management. Accordingly, many research works have focused on network technology. But, recent concerted efforts in academia and industry point to paradigm shift in IoV system. In this paper, we proposed a knowledge base for intelligence service in IoV. A detailed design and implementation of the proposed knowledged base is illustrated. We hope this work will show power of IoV as a disruptive technology.

This study suggests a procedure for designing cellular manufacturing systems (CMS) which are combined with automated guided vehicles (AGVs) using a tandem configuration. So far most of the previous studies have dealt with conventional design problems not considering the layout and the characteristics of transporters used in CMS. A mathematical model is developed using the service time to perform material transfers as a suitable meassure. The service capacity of AGVs and space limitations are also reflected in this model. As the model can be shown strongly NP-hard, a heuristic algorithm is presented, in which each cell is temporarily formed using both the set covering model and similarity coefficients, and then locations of the cells are determined by means of tabu search and finally machine perturbations are carried out. An example problem is solved to demonstrate the algorithm developed.
The traffic realizes that people come and go. The mobility is on the basis of location and time. The physical means for the traffic is composed of roads, vehicles and fuel. The current traffic services place emphasis on the physical elements. In the near future, with the current elements, the railroad service is considerably improved of through intangible factors including the customized customer services that the mobile-social network service is newly applied. The intangible things are connected to the increase of the time value for customers.
In accordance with the advent of the 5th generation (5G) communication technology, we are having a change in various communication services which converge with high technologies related to the 4th Industrial Revolution. To utilize the upcoming 5G technology effectively and practically, we analyzed the technologies which have the most potential in convergence under the introduction of 5G technology and as a result, it is a autonomous vehicle that we'll discuss the core technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which can lead to service activation by being combined with 5G technology. In addition, we developed an industry-service classification of 5G-based autonomous vehicle, we provided a basis for supporting a new business and its new business model converged with 5G communication technology. Furthermore, we will create a linkage matrix with the industry-service classification system of a new autonomous vehicles. This matrix will service as a guideline for industry-service development where autonomous vehicles can be utilized actively in the next generation.

The main criteria for objective measure of the level of transportation service is travel time and delay time. In this paper, the level of service is measured by using moving vehicles method. Through this, we get the hourly traffic volume, the average travel time, space average speed, etc. In addition, we get the density of traffic.
Socially, citizens' safety needs get higher, therefore support system of emergency vehicles is desperate as it is one of national services. For emergency vehicles, rapid departure and prompt field arrival are necessary. However, delay of departure occurs frequently due to traffic jam within a city so it makes citizens suffer from inappropriate service. Thus this study researched overseas examples in order to adduce solution of obstacles we have when passing through bridges and tunnel. In order to help emergency vehicles to move smoothly, a proposal of design and method for rapid support system was made.
Current methods for evaluating unsignalized intersections, and estimating level-of-service (LOS) is determined from efficiency-based criteria such as little or no delay to very long delays. At present, similar procedures to evaluate intersections using safety-based criteria do not exist. The improvement of sight distances at intersections is the most effective way of improving intersection safety. However, a set of procedures is necessary to account for the limitations in current methodology. Such an approach would build upon such methods, but also account for: deficiencies in the current deterministic solution for the determination of intersection sight distances; opportunity for an accident and severity of an accident; and cost-effectiveness of attaining various levels of sight distances. In this research, a model that estimates the degree of safety at two-way stop-controlled intersections is described. Only crossing maneuvers are considered in this study because accidents caused by the crossing maneuvers are the dominate type among intersection accidents. Monte Carlo methods are used to estimate the hazard at an intersection as a function of roadway features and traffic conditions. Driver`s minimum gap acceptance in the crossing vehicles and headway distribution on the major road are used in the crossing vehicles and headway distribution on the major road are used in the model to simulate the real intersectional maneuvers. Other random variables addressed in the model are: traffic speeds; preception-reaction times of both drivers in the crossing vehicles and drivers in oncoming vehicles on the major road; and vehicles on the major roads. The developed model produces the total number of conflicts per year per vehicle and total potential kinetic energy per year per vehicle dissipated during conflicts as measurements of safety at intersections. Based on the results from the developed simulation model, desirable sight distances for various speeds were determined as 350 feet, 450 feet and 550 feet for 40 mph, 50 mph and 60 mph prevailing speed on the major road, respectively. These values are seven to eight percent less than those values recommended by AASHTO. A safety based level-of-service (LOS) is also developed using the results of the simulation model. When the total number of conflicts per vehicle is less than 0.05 at an intersection, the LOS of the intersection is `A' and when the total number of conflicts per vehicle is larger than 0.25 at an intersection, the LOS is `F'. Similarly, when the total hazard per vehicle is less than 350, 000 1b-ft2/sec2, the LOS is `F'. Once evaluation of the current safety at the intersection is complete, a sensitivity analysis can be done by changing one or more input parameters. This will estimate the benefit in terms of time and budget of hazard reduction based upon improving geometric and traffic characteristics at the intersection. This method will also enable traffic engineers in local governments to generate a priority list of intersection improvement projects.

VANET is a technology for building a robust ad-hoc network between mobile vehicles as well as, between vehicles and RSU. Vehicles are moving and they only stay in the RSU area for a short time. When the number of requests is increased, an important challenge is to implement a suitable scheduling algorithm which serves as more requests as possible. $D^*S$ algorithm uses a priority weight, DS_Value, for selection of a request to get service. Priority weight is influenced only by deadline and data size parameters. We propose a packet scheduling using multilevel queue and show that using this idea leads to higher service ratio compare to previous algorithms.
