가상환경 기반 자율주행 운전능력 평가방안 연구 (Study on the Evaluation Method of Autonomous Vehicle Driving Ability Based on Virtual Reality)

  • 세계 최대 차량공유업체 우버의 자율주행에 의한 보행자 사망사고에 이어 지난 4월에는 테슬라의 자율주행 교통사고로 2명이 사망하는 등 자율주행의 안전성 문제가 대두됨에 따라 자율주행 도입에 따른 도로 이용자의 안전성 확보가 필요한 실정이다. 이에 자율주행의 안전성을 확보하기 위해서는 실제로 자율주행자동차가 주행할 도로 및 교통 환경을 기반으로 다양한 상황에서의 자율주행 운전능력을 평가할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 다양한 운전능력 시험방법 중 가상현실 기반 자율주행 운전능력 평가도구를 제시하고자 일반 운전면허시험 문제를 기반으로 UC-win/Road ver.14.0을 활용하였다. 이를 바탕으로 복합적이고 다양한 주행환경에서 돌발상황에 대한 운전능력을 시험하고자 하였으며 자율주행 운전능력 시험평가의 최적의 도구로서의 실제 적용가능성을 확인하고자 하였다.

  • Navigation system is regarded as the interface border line between the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and the driver as the prospective information provider of the ATIS (Advanced Traveler Information System). Following theory, if the navigation system appropriately designed and utilized, that can maximize the transport efficiency, contribute to improvements of the environments and road safety. To accomplish these dinds of objectives of the navigation system use, human factors plays an important roles specially focused on the driver's safety, performance and system usability. Because the effectiveness of the system depends on the acceptance of the system, and the extent to which the system conforms to driver physical and cognitive limitations and capabilities. Therefore, the ergonomic design vaniables must be seriously selected and reflected in early design step for more effective and appreciate product design. As the first step of this aim, this study selected and categorized the human factors design variables of the navigation system.

응급의료체계 개선 방안 - 선진국 응급의료체계 연구를 통하여 - (A Study on Improvement of Emergency Medical Service System - Focused on Research in EMS-System of advanced Country -)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve EMS-System in Korea through the research in EMS-System of advanced country. The response time is defined as the interval from the time of call receipt to the time of scene arrival. The important factor was to shorten moving distance of ambulance. It should be considered to accomplish this factor that the vehicle must be increased and the convenient location chosen for optimizing of service area. The transport of emergency patients carried out almost by 119 Emergency Medical Service but out of all the employees at 119 EMS only 11.3% have own qualified EMT degree. They should be employed more and more specially at 119 EMS for a superior level of emergency medical care for civilian. In America, EMT can take care of emergency patients following the order from medical Director at the scene of accident. But in Germany, prehospital care was emphasized from the beginning and, in those days, a medical doctor was sent for treatment of emergency patients at the scene, the so-called a Rendezvous system. Hierby this study makes the suggestion to improve the EMS-System, it is effective to use the medical Director system in America and furthermore a Rendezvous system in Germany. The functional integratin and unification of the report system as well as enough personal and equipmental elements saved together invaluable lives.

Multiple crack evaluation on concrete using a line laser thermography scanning system

  • This paper proposes a line laser thermography scanning (LLTS) system for multiple crack evaluation on a concrete structure, as the core technology for unmanned aerial vehicle-mounted crack inspection. The LLTS system consists of a line shape continuous-wave laser source, an infrared (IR) camera, a control computer and a scanning jig. The line laser generates thermal waves on a target concrete structure, and the IR camera simultaneously measures the corresponding thermal responses. By spatially scanning the LLTS system along a target concrete structure, multiple cracks even in a large scale concrete structure can be effectively visualized and evaluated. Since raw IR data obtained by scanning the LLTS system, however, includes timely- and spatially-varying IR images due to the limited field of view (FOV) of the LLTS system, a novel time-spatial-integrated (TSI) coordinate transform algorithm is developed for precise crack evaluation in a static condition. The proposed system has the following technical advantages: (1) the thermal wave propagation is effectively induced on a concrete structure with low thermal conductivity of approximately 0.8 W/m K; (2) the limited FOV issues can be solved by the TSI coordinate transform; and (3) multiple cracks are able to be visualized and evaluated by normalizing the responses based on phase mapping and spatial derivative processes. The proposed LLTS system is experimentally validated using a concrete specimen with various cracks. The experimental results reveal that the LLTS system successfully visualizes and evaluates multiple cracks without false alarms.

MR 유체를 이용한 운전석 댐퍼의 성능특성 (Performance Characteristics of Seat Damper Using MR Fluid)

  • This paper presents the development of a semi-active seat damper using MR fluids and the performance analysis of seat suspension system with a MR seat damper. An annular orifice type MR seat damper is proposed for a seat suspension of a commercial vehicle. After formulating the governing equation of motion, then an appropriate size of the seat damper is designed and manufactured. Following the evaluation of field-dependant damping force characteristics, the controllability of the damping force is experimentally demonstrated in time domain by adopting PID controller. A semi-active seat suspension with the proposed MR damper is constructed and its dynamic model is established. Subsequently, vibration control capability of the semi-active suspension system is investigated by employing the sky-hook controller.

  • The Output feedback linear quadratic regulator control is applied to the design of active suspension system using 7 DOF full car model. The performance index reflects the vehicle vertical movement, pitch and roll motion, and minimization of suspension stroke displacements in the rattle space. The elements of gain matrix are approximately decoupled so that each suspension requires only local information to generate the control force. The simulation results indicates that the output feedback LQ controller is more effective than purely passive or full state feedback active LQ controllers in following the road profile at the low frequency range and suppressing the road disturbance at the high frequency ranges.

  • Based on fuzzy logic algorithm this paper constructed fuzzy logic controller for automated vehicles. For passenger´s convenience especially comfortability controller need to reduce the frequency of input variable´s changing. So we established membership functions for comfortability as well as speed following. It made possible to control comfortability directly. To demonstration the efficiency of fuzzy logic controller, we carried out simulation with a automobile´s transfer function.   • A 6 D.O.F Stewart platform type parallel robot has been developed as a simulator to test the surveillance robot stabilization control. Since the surveillance robot is installed on the unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), it is required to have a stabilization control system to compensate the disturbance from the UGV. PID control scheme has been applied to the parallel robot to generate controlled motion following the input motion.

  • Drones are controlled by the remote pilot from the ground stations using the radio control or autonomously following the pre-programmed flight plans. In this paper, we develop a method and an optimal path search system for providing 3D augmented reality flight (ARF) images for safe and efficient flight control of drones. The developed system consisted of the drone, the ground station and user terminals, and the optimal path search server. We use the Dijkstra algorithm to find the optimal path considering the drone information, flight information, environmental information, and flight mission. We generate a 3D augmented reality flight (ARF) image overlaid with the path information as well as the drone information and the flight information on the flight image received from the drone. The ARF image for adjusting the drone is generated by overlaying route information, drone information, flight information, and the like on the image captured by the drone.

고강도강 마운팅브라켓의 성형성 향상 및 스프링백 예측에 관한 연구 (Research on Improved Formability of High-Strength Steel Mounting Brackets and Springback Prediction)

  • To reduce the weight of the car and ensure the safety of the driver while driving, the existing 440 MPa-class mounting bracket was treated at 590MPa to improve collision safety and secure the weight of the vehicle body. The following conclusions were drawn from the tensile test, forming analysis, and springback prediction. In the formability and springback analyses using FLD, it could be confirmed that bending was an essential process because the formability and flatness were much better when bending was added than when bending was not applied. Based on the research results, it was deduced that the mold design was necessary so that the molding was carried out at a strain rate of 20% or less for stable molding.
