  • Life cycle costing is one of the most effective cost approaches when we choose a solution from series of alternative so the least long-term cost ownership is achieved. Life cycle costing in railway industry has been focused on the prediction of investment for railway vehicles. But in today, the life cycle cost, LCC, prediction on the aspect of operation and maintenance cost through whole life cycle is highly necessary. In this paper, we present a strategy for the development of life cycle cost estimation software on the aspect of maintenance strategies of railway vehicle. For this purpose, we suggested a structure of LCC software based on the UNIFE LCC model. And we developed a pilot version of software to evaluate the LCC model that we suggested for railway vehicle. We performed LCC analysis on the brake module of metro vehicle in case study and concluded that the software and model developed in this research could enough to support engineers in choosing better cost effective solutions from many alternatives.

  • This paper deals with the topical problems of the Life Cycle Costs in connection with the rolling stocks. the LCC philosophy has already entered the third decade. this philosophy contributed towards the new relationship's comprehension between railway vehicle producers' and railway vehicle users' sphere. this leads together to the technical-economical solution convenient for the both sides. In the point of manufacturer, It is said that low operational costs could be reached using a well-designed and structured maintenance program. this is due to the proper technical analysis of critical components that leads to low costs of maintenance and a superior reliability without increasing the capital investment. but, This paper presents both topical experiences with the LCC models for the railways vehicles and also procedures during Life Cycle Costs calculations. In conclusion I want to introduce how to calculate LCC & what kinds of softwares are used based on VVVF EMU vehicle

  • In this paper, the system is proposed and implemented to share the part number, the part name, and the vehicle type through the improvement sharing bulletin board for automobile repair and maintenance. And when photos of damage parts are uploaded to the system, the system analyzes it using a deep learning model to analyze whether it is damaged and automatically classify the type of damage. By providing repair and maintenance quotes for a significant part, the system provides economically repaired by providing comparative adjustment information on repair costs to drivers who are particularly concerned about the market prices of parts and maintenance services. Through the existing bulletin board, you can exchange and share information about parts by sharing various information on repair and maintenance. This paper provides in detail the average market price per type of damage during automobile repair and maintenance, helping drivers who do not know the details of parts and maintenance services to receive reasonable quotes by providing price information.

  • 대다수 차량은 문제가 발생하면 사용자가 직접 정비소에 방문하여 정비가 이뤄지는 형태를 취하고 있다. 정비가 이뤄지는 동안 사용자는 운행을 하지 못하는 불편함과 함께, 대상 차량이 수익을 창출하는 차량이라면 경제적인 손실도 감수해야 한다. 실시간으로 차량 정보를 수집하고, 수집된 빅데이터를 기반으로 차량에서 발생할 수 있는 문제를 파악하여 사후 서비스 보다는 사전 서비스를 제공한다면, 안정된 차량 운행에 도움을 줄 수 있으며, 경제적 손실도 감소할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 IoT기반 게이트웨이를 설계하고, 실시간 차량 정보를 수집하여 빅데이터를 구성하여 실시간으로 차량 정보를 제공할 수 있는 플랫폼을 설계하였다.

  • This paper proposes the method to develop information system for maintenance of urban transit using wireless LAM. Wireless LAN communication provides very useful method to maintain urban transit vehicle. We will use wireless LAN to transmit driving data, operational data and trace data from vehicle to wayside. And also we will use wireless LAN to refer various information concerning to work in real time. Proposed method may prevent loss of maintenance manpower and provide effective maintenance process.

  • 철도 차량의 정상적 운행을 위한 정비 작업이 안전하게 이루어지기 위해서는 실제 열차 정비 환경을 직접 겪어 보며 경험을 쌓고 실무능력을 키워나가야 하지만 정비 절차에 따르는 운영상의 문제로 실제 정비를 경험하는 정비교육훈련은 어려운 상황이다. 그렇기 때문에 실제와 최대한 유사한 환경에서 체험하는 시뮬레이션을 열차 정비 교육에 적용한다면 안전한 상황에서 실제 정비 업무에 대한 지식과 경험을 쌓을 수 있고, 운영상의 교육훈련비용도 절감할 수 있다. 현재 국내와 해외에서 운용되고 있는 철도 분야의 시뮬레이션 프로그램의 경우 열차운행 위주의 교육훈련으로 설계 되어 있고, 정비관련 및 유지보수 내용에 대한 묘사는 부족한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 열차 정비의 교육효과를 위해 교육공학이론 중 내용요소전시 이론, 상황학습 이론, 문제 중심 학습이론을 고찰하는 선행연구를 통해 열차 정비 교육 시뮬레이션을 설계한다.

응력보정계수 산정 방법 개선 (An Improvement for Determining Response Modification Factor in Bridge Load Rating)

  • Bridge load rating calculations provide a basis for determining the safe load capacity of bridge. Load rating requires engineering judgement in determining a rating value that is applicable to maintaining the safe use of the bridge and arriving at posting and permit decisions. Load testing is an effective means in calculating the rating value of bridge. In Korea, load carrying capacity of bridge is modified by response modification factor that is determined from comparisons of measured values and analysis results. The response modification factor may be corrupted by vehicle location error that is defined as the gap of test vehicle location between load testing and analysis. In this study, the effects of vehicle location error to structural response and response modification factor are investigated, and a new method for evaluating response modification factor is proposed. The random data analysis shows that the proposed method is less sensitive to vehicle location error than the present method.

  • 지난 수십년간 자동차의 배출오염물질은 대도시 대기오염의 주요 원인이 되고 있다. 이 같은 배출가스를 줄이기 위한 정책의 일환으로 배출가스 검사제도가 실시되고 있으나, 이 검사결과에 대한 배출가스 과다차량의 요인분석에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자동차 배출가스 규제가 엄격한 미국 캘리포니아주의 2002년 10월의 자동차 배출가스 검사결과 자료를 이용하여 자동차 배출가스 검사결과에 대한 이항로짓모형을 개발하고, 이를 통해 자동차의 과다배출가스에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인을 분석하였다. 모형추정결과, 차령. 주행거리, 엔진크기, 자동차 제조업체, 배기가스제어장치 장착여부, 검사방식 등이 배기가스 과다배출에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

Impact effect analysis for hangers of half-through arch bridge by vehicle-bridge coupling

  • Among the destruction instances of half-through arch bridges, the shorter hangers are more likely to be ruined. For a thorough investigation of the hanger system durability, we have studied vehicle impact effect on hangers with vehicle-bridge coupling method for a half-through concrete-filled-steel-tube arch bridge. A numerical method has been applied to simulate the variation of dynamic internal force (stress) in hangers under different vehicle speeds and road surface roughness. The characteristics and differences in impact effect among hangers with different length (position) are compared. The impact effect is further analyzed comprehensively based on the vehicle speed distribution model. Our results show that the dynamic internal force induced by moving vehicles inside the shorter hangers is significantly greater than that inside the longer ones. The largest difference of dynamic internal force among the hangers could be as high as 28%. Our results well explained a common phenomenon in several hanger damage accidents occurred in China. This work forms a basis for hanger system's fatigue analysis and service life evaluation. It also provides a reference to the design, management, maintenance, monitoring, and evaluation for this kind of bridge.
