ADAMS를 이용한 차량 조종안정성 해석 (An Analysis of Vehicle Handling Characteristics with ADAMS)

  • An analysis of handling characteristics of a vehicle is performed for step and pulse steering input, which may be very useful in suspension design stage. Many developed computer programs for vehicle dynamics require test data of compliance effects for proto type car. Therefore, these programs are not suitable for automobile development stage. Using the raw design data of suspension and steering system, we analyze the vehicle behavior for step and pulse steering input with commercial multibody dynamics program, ADAMS. Simulated results are in good agreement with vehicle test results. Vehicle handling characteristics parameters which are very useful in automobile suspension design are evaluated from the analysis.

외란 관측기를 이용한 견실한 차량 안정성 제어 (Robust Vehicle Stability Control Using Disturbance Observer)

  • A disturbance observer-based vehicle stability controller is proposed in this paper. The lumped disturbance to the vehicle yaw rate dynamics caused by the uncertain factors such as uncertain tire forces and parameters is estimated by the disturbance observer, which is utilized by the robust controller to stabilize the lateral dynamics of the vehicle. The dynamics of the hydraulic actuator is incorporated in the vehicle stability controller design using the model reduction technique. Modular control design methodology is adopted to effectively deal with the mismatched uncertainty. Simulation results indicate that the proposed disturbance observer-based vehicle stability controller can achieve the desired reference tracking performance as well as sufficient level of robustness.

현가장치 무질량 링크를 이용한 효율적인 차량동역학 모델 개발 (Development of an Efficient Vehicle Dynamics Model Using Massless Link of a Suspension)

  • This paper represents an efficient modeling method of a suspension system for the vehicle dynamic simulation. The suspension links are modeled as composite joints. The motion of wheel is defined as relative one degree of freedom motion with respect to car body. The unique relative kinematic constraint formulation between the car body and wheel enables to derive equations of motion in terms of wheel vertical motion. Thus, vehicle model has ten degrees of freedom. By using velocity transformation method, the equations of motion of the vehicle is systematically derived without kinematic constraints. Various vehicle simulation such as J-turn, slowly increasing steer, sinusoidal sweep steer and bump run has been performed to verify the validity of the suggested vehicle model.

  • Railway vehicles are capable of indicating several types of instability. This phenomenon, which is called hunting motion, is a self excited lateral oscillation that is caused by the running velocity of the vehicle and wheel frail interactive forces. The interactive forces act to change effectively the damping characteristics of railway vehicle systems. This paper will show the impact of instability on the transfer function behavior using damping characteristics of secondary suspension. The vehicle dynamics are modeled using a 17 degree of freedom considering linear wheel/rail contact. The paper deals with certain condition of the damper characteristics that one is about various damping coefficient and another is equipped damper direction.

유연관-해저주행차량 연성 동적거동 해석 (Coupled Dynamic Analyses of Underwater Tracked Vehicle and Long Flexible Pipe)

  • 우리는 해저 연약지반 주행차량과 주행차량의 상부에 결합되어 있는 유연관의 연성거동 동력학 해석 기법을 개발하였다. 연약지반 주행차량은 1개의 강체로 모델링되었으며, 질량집중매개변수 기법을 이용한 이산화기법을 적용하여 유연관을 모델링하였다. 강체 무한궤도 주행차량의 운동방정식과 유연관의 3차원 비선형 지배방정식을 결합시켰으며, 4개의 오일러 매개변수를 이용하여 주행차량과 유연관의 자세를 표현하였다. 주행차량과 유연관의 비선형 연성거동 동력학 방정식의 해를 구하기 위해, 증분-반복법을 이용하였다. 시간영역 수치적분을 위해 $Newmark-\beta$기법을 이용하였다. 증분-반복법을 적용하여 연성 운동방정식에 대한 자코비안 행렬을 유도하였다. 동적거동 동력학 해석 기법을 통해 유연관의 동적거동과 연약지반 위를 주행하는 무한궤도 차량의 동적거동 사이의 상호작용을 시간영역에서의 관찰하였다.

트랙터-트레일러형 차량 시스템의 주행 충격진동 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the shock & vibration characteristics of a tractor-trailer type vehicle system running on the road)

  • It is known that displacements, velocities and accelerations of the tractor- trailer type vehicle system in shock & vibration analysis by the flexible-multi-body dynamics including the flexibility of structure are bigger and more repetitive than them by the rigid-multi-body dynamics, and it is necessary to prove above results by the experimental field test. Therefore, in this paper, theoretical analysis by the flexible-multi-body dynamics and experimental field test for a tractor-trailer type vehicle system are conducted and their results are compared with each other. Because of unexpected metal contact and impact in the air coupler part in the field test, some accelerations measured from the experimental field test are bigger than them analyzed from the theoretical analysis, but most accelerations are well coincide with each other in the amplitudes and trends. Thus more refined dynamic analytical models for some special type vehicle systems will be possible in the future.

수중 운동체의 운동 특성을 고려한 입/출력 제어기 구성에 관한 고찰 (A Study on an Input-Output Controller Based on the Time-Scale Properties of an Underwater Vehicle Dynamics)

  • In this paper, it is shown that an input-output (I/O) feedback linearized controller can be designed rationally by utilizing the time-scale properties of heave and pitch for an underwater vehicle. It is assumed that the dynamics of the vehicle is restricted to the vertical plane. An output-feedback control is designed, which stabilizes steady cruising paths. It is shown that the vehicle dynamics with acceleration as output becomes minimum phase. The dynamics can be transformed into a reduced system through a kind of partial linearization and singular perturbation technique. The reduced system is not only minimum phase but also exactly I/O linearizable via feedback. The I/O dynamic characteristics of the heave and pitch modes can be made linear and decoupled. Furthermore it becomes independent of cruising condition such as vehicle velocity. This study may help for designing autopilot systems for underwater vehicles.

등가답면구배를 목적함수로 하는 차륜답면형상 설계기법 (Design Method of Railway Wheel Profile with Objective Function of Eqivalent Conicity)

  • A design method of railway wheel profile with objective function of equivalent conicity considering wheel dimension constraint, two points contact problem between wheel and rail was proposed. New design method shows good results. New wheel profile generated from optimization process shows better dynamic performance compared with initial profile as the purpose of wheel profile design. And to verify the design method with testing the stability of new wheel profile, we conducted a critical speed test for new wheel profile using scale model applied scaling method of railway vehicle dynamics. The result of critical speed test show good agreement with that of numerical analysis. From the above results, it is seen that the design method with objective function of equivalent conicity is feasible and it could be applied to design new wheel profile efficiently.

  • In general, the Maglev vehicle is run over an elevated guideway consisting of steel or concrete structure. Since the running behavior of the vehicle is affected by the flexibility of the guideway, the consideration of the flexibility of guideway is needed for evaluating the dynamics of both the vehicle and guideway. A new method based on flexible multibody dynamics is proposed to model the Maglew vehicle. This method combines the levitation controller, vehicle, and guideway into a coupled model To verify the method, an urban transit is analyzed using the method and discussions are carried out.
