  • Bimodal tram with the hybrid propulsion and low floor is a new and beneficial vehicle for the public transportation which is good for both the convenience of the weakness and the prevention of the green house effect. Bimodal tram consists of a complicate electrical and mechanical systems. Each system does not operate with independent but with cooperative. So, we need a synthetic control management system for managing all system effectively. This paper has investigated the configuration and functions of VCU(Vehicle Control Unit) installed inside of bimodal tram which plays variable roles including the apparatus control and the condition monitoring.

  • In autonomous driving cars, 3D pose estimation can be one of the effective methods to enhance safety control for OOP (Out of Position) passengers. There have been many studies on human pose estimation using a camera. Previous methods, however, have limitations in automotive applications. Due to unexplainable failures, CNN methods are unreliable, and other methods perform poorly. This paper proposes robust real-time multi-human 3D pose estimation architecture in vehicle using monocular RGB camera. Using particle filter, our approach integrates CNN 2D/3D pose measurements with available information in vehicle. Computer simulations were performed to confirm the accuracy and robustness of the proposed algorithm.

  • Recently, in the field of Smart Grid, Smart Home Network, Ubiquitous Computing, etc. we have continued to study Smart Information Monitoring Technology(SIMT) which exchange, control and monitor information collected and processed by need in real-time and two-way. In this paper, we understand application products or recent trends of SIMT for Energy, U-Farm, Vehicle Information and Home Network. Specially, we explain Google PowerMeter which exchange information with Smart Meter of core part of the smart grid at real-time, Real-time Monitoring System(RMS) for U-Farm, RMS for vehicle status Information. we subscribe Smart Information Monitoring Technology application based on ZigBee of low price, low power or related work. Finally we subscribe actual proof construction situation of Jesu for smart grid.

  • In this paper, we present a smart grid monitoring system connected with electric vehicle charging system using anti-islanding method. Electric vehicles can be charged through remote control of smart grid monitoring system and the charging process may be more stable and more efficient by wireless communication between the Local Area Module and End Modules. It is illustrated by some experiments that electric vehicle charging process may not be interrupted without any serious fault even though the islanding phenomena occurred in the grid if the presented monitoring system was applied to the smart grid system.

  • In this project, under the server-client environment, GIS for the radiological emergency and control system of the vehicles for the environmental radioactivity monitoring was complete. This system is able to display environmental radioactivity data and vehicle's locations through wireless network on real time. Furthermore, it supports not only static analysis function with the collected data regarding nuclear type, collecting time period and vehicle's location but also a documents printing out function.

  • In this paper, we propose an alternative method of communication to improve the reliability of in-vehicle networks by jointly using wireless communication networks. Wired Communication networks have been used in vehicles for the monitoring and the control of vehicle motion, however, the disconnection of wires or hardware fault of networks may cause a critical problem in vehicles. If the network manager detects a disconnection or faults in wired in-vehicle network like the Controller Area Network(CAN), it can redirect the communication path from the wired to the wireless communication like the Zigbee network. To show the validity and the effectiveness of the proposed in-vehicle network architecture, we implement the Electronic Stability Control(ESC) system as ECU-In-the-Loop Simulation(EILS) and verify that the control performance can be kept well even if some hardware faults like disconnection of wires occur.

  • In this paper we deal with a design of the evaluation system to assess the vehicle operational control algorithm for Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) system. PRT system is different from the conventional rail traffic system in such point that the station is off-line so as to guarantee a very short headway. In this study we propose a evaluation system to assess the performance of the proposed vehicle control algorithm. The evaluation system is composed of virtual vehicles, central control system, virtual wayside facilities, monitoring equipments. In order to test the proposed evaluation system a test algorithm is used, which has been simulated in the combined simulation system between Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit and Matlab/Simulink.

  • This study is concerned with the design of the communication based evaluation simulator for the development of the operational control algorithm for PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) system which has very short headway and requires accurate speed control of the vehicles to avoid the impact between the vehicles. The evaluation simulator is composed of central control system, vehicle control system, communication control system, AP for wireless communication, and monitoring system. For the mobile characteristics of the PRT vehicles wireless communication is employed for the transmission of the control and status information between the central control system and the vehicle control system. By using simple test operational control algorithm the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation simulator is shown.

During the 1970's and early 1980's manufacturers started using electronic means to control engine functions and diagnose engine problems. This wa primarily to meet EPA emission standards. The CARB requires that, by model year 1996, all vehicle sold in California contain a certain minimum "On-Board Diagnostic" capability to diagnose emissions-related failures of the engine control system.   • RFIDs have been used a lot of control systems such as library and security efficiently. Unlawful parking control is one of them and it will bring a lot of merit. Especially, it can be used vehicles. If a vehicle comes to unlawful parking place, reader system read the tag of a vehicle. RFID reader confirm the vehicle and record current time at the same time send information related the vehicle to the server system. After, it can be activated. If the vehicle move from unlawful parking place, RFID reader record departed time. In this paper, we proposed a monitoring system for unlawful parking cars. Especially, it is certain that this proposed modelling is very efficient and correct.
