차선 유실구간 측위를 위한 레이저 스캐너 기반 고정 장애물 탐지 알고리즘 개발 (Laser Scanner based Static Obstacle Detection Algorithm for Vehicle Localization on Lane Lost Section)

  • This paper presents the development of laser scanner based static obstacle detection algorithm for vehicle localization on lane lost section. On urban autonomous driving, vehicle localization is based on lane information, GPS and digital map is required to ensure. However, in actual urban roads, the lane data may not come in due to traffic jams, intersections, weather conditions, faint lanes and so on. For lane lost section, lane based localization is limited or impossible. The proposed algorithm is designed to determine the lane existence by using reliability of front vision data and can be utilized on lane lost section. For the localization, the laser scanner is used to distinguish the static object through estimation and fusion process based on the speed information on radar data. Then, the laser scanner data are clustered to determine if the object is a static obstacle such as a fence, pole, curb and traffic light. The road boundary is extracted and localization is performed to determine the location of the ego vehicle by comparing with digital map by detection algorithm. It is shown that the localization using the proposed algorithm can contribute effectively to safe autonomous driving.

국내 폐자동차 처리시스템에 대한 전과정평가 (Life Cycle Assessment on the End-of-Life Vehicle Treatment System in Korea)

  • This study aims at evaluating the environmental impacts stemmed from the End-of-Life Vehicle(ELV) treatment systems in Korea, using Life Cycle Assessment(LCA) method. In this study, both environmental burden from the ELV dismantling process & recycling processes and environmental benefit which were derived from the avoided environmental impacts by substituting recycled materials for virgin materials were considered. First of all, the key issues which were defined as the environmental aspects that account for more than $1\%$ out of the total environmental impacts were identified from the Life Cycle Impact Assessment(LCIA). $CO_2$, crude oil, natural gas, coal, etc. were found out to be the key issue parameters. From the LCI Analysis and LCIA studies, it was shown that the significant environmental aspects were related with the recycling process of ferro scrap, the shredding process of compressed car bodies and the dismantling process of end-of-life engines. In particular, the recycling process of ferro scrap has the most significant effects on the environmental impacts of the ELV treatment systems. Based on these results, it is recommended to improve the recycling process of ferro scrap in order to make the ELV treatment systems more environmentally sound.

UxAS의 임무 자율화 절차 및 개선 방안 분석 (Analysis and Improvement on Process of Mission Autonomy in UxAS)

  • 모자이크 환경에서는 다수의 무인기가 동적 상황에 따라 자율적으로 과업을 할당하고 이를 수행할 수 있어야 하므로, 임무 자율화 시스템이 무인기에 반드시 탑재되어야 한다. UxAS (Unmanned x-systems Autonomy Service)는 미 공군 연구소에서 개발한 무인 플랫폼에 탑재 가능한 임무 자율화 시스템으로, 다양한 모듈 형태의 서비스로 구성되어 기능 확장이 용이한 구조를 가지고 있다. 그러나, 현재 UxAS는 상황인식 기능의 부재로, 운용자로부터 자율화 수행 요청 명령을 수신한 경우에만 임무 자율화를 수행하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 UxAS의 임무 자율화 절차를 분석하고, 상황 인식 기능을 적용하여 동적 상황 변화에 따라 운용자의 명령 없이 임무 자율화 절차를 수행할 수 있도록 UxAS 개선 방안을 제시하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 개선된 임무 자율화 절차를 검증하였다.

  • The durability of recent motors is longer than the past one because there are the rapid technique development of the automobile industry and the vehicle maintenance of users. And then the importance of the durability test due to vibration is increased from day to day. So full vehicle and parts companies accomplish the durability test using various methods. The most public test method among them is the reliable field test but it bring on higher cost and period of the development process. The durability test using MAST(multi axis simulation table) is a solution in order to improve the development process of automobiles. Generally its excitation source uses the optimized road profiles that are obtained by the road test of belgian road, country road, cobbleston road and so on instead of a real field but the interrelations and influences accordingly vehicle damage are considered by a field test between specific roads and real fields in the first place. Therefore this study, in order to accomplish a basic research for the durability test using the MAST, performed on the real field driving test at various domestic roads and the results which are analyzed by PSD(power spectrum density) are compared with relative sensitivity among the roads. Consequently they can present a basic material for generation of road profiles which is applied to the durability test using MAST.

전기자동차용 리튬이온 전지의 제조공정을 위해 개선된 극판 건조 기술 (Improved Drying Process for Electrodes in Production of Lithium-Ion Batteries for Electric Vehicles)

  • 전기자동차는 내연기관 자동차와는 달리 배출가스가 없어 친환경 차량을 대표하지만, 장착된 축전지에 충전된 전기로 구동되기 때문에, 1회 충전으로 갈 수 있는 거리가 전지의 에너지 밀도에 의해 좌우된다. 따라서 높은 에너지 밀도를 갖는 리튬이온 배터리가 전기구동자동차용 전지로 많이 사용하고 있다. 리튬이온 배터리의 효율을 지배하는 중요한 구성품은 전극이므로 전극 제조공정은 리튬이온 배터리 전체생산 공정에서 중요한 역할을 한다. 특히 전극의 제조 공정 중 건조공정은 성능에 큰 영향을 미치는 매우 중요한 공정이다. 본 논문에서는 전극제조에서 건조공법의 효율성 및 생산성 증대를 위한 혁신적인 공정을 제안하고, 장비 설계 방법 및 개발 결과에 대하여 기술하였다. 구체적으로, 극판 결착력 향상 기술, 대기압 과열증기 건조 기술, 그리고 건조로 폭 슬림화 기술들에 대한 설계 절차 및 개발방법을 제시하였다. 결과로 세계최초의 개방형/일체형 대기압 과열증기 Turbo Dryer 양산기술 확보를 통해 전기차 전지용 극판 고속건조기술을 확보 하였다. 기존의 건조공정과 비교할 때 건조로 길이 생산성을 향상시켰다 (건조 Lead Time 0.7분(分) ${\rightarrow}$ 0.5분(分)기준).

역설계 기반의 군용 특수 트럭용 중간변속기 개발에 관한 연구 (A Research on Development of Transfer Case for Military Special Trucks based the Reverse Engineering)

  • The transfer case for special truck are usually produced by only a few specialized companies. The special technical data are not unveiled. In order to complete the development successfully, it is necessary to carry out the compatibility tests such as the running test on the vehicle, which is the test condition of the military vehicle. In this research, transfer case the core-component of the '230 mm K-MLRS' has been developed with the reverse engineering and the prototype is developed through structural analysis. The transfer case developed through this research is currently used in the '230 mm K-MLRS'. The development process In this research are useful in the development of similar products.

  • NSD(No Spin Differential) has been developed fer a military truck. A benchmarking study for USA and Russian NSD has been carried out. Axiomatic approach has been applied for improving the design. A test code for NSB has been developed and applied to the developed sample. In the test results of comparing the developed sample with the USA imported sample, three major characteristics-the noise, mobility and steerability - are in the range of the intended target. A practical process for the evolution design is proposed.

  • In recent years, developments of light weight vehicle are one of the most important issues in automotive makers. New materials and new processes have been studied on the point of weight saving of chassis worldwide. Associated with materials, applications of high strength steel, aluminium, magnesium are being developed. On the point of new processes, tailored welded blank and hydroforming have been applied. In this paper, focusing to both material and process, we have applied hydroforming process to the engine cradle. In addition to that, three kinds of high strength steel have been applied to the development of light weight material for hydroforming. All the studies have been carried by FEM.

특수 차량용 정용량 피스톤 펌프의 개발에 관한 연구 (The Study on Development of Fixed Displacement Piston Pump for Special Access Vehicle)

  • Cylinder block is driven by tapered piston for bent-axis type piston pump, so that geometrical mechanism is very complicate. Piston rod must have not separated from shaft when shaft and piston rod is assembled. For this reason, shaft design is changed. Finite element analysis is performed for analyzed structural stability and flexible dynamic behavior. The result of the analysis, maximum equivalent stress occurred under yield stress, therefore structural stability is satisfactory. and flexible dynamic analysis give useful information about driving gear. These background data is avail of manufacture of piston pump.
