지상전투차량 취약성 평가를 위한 표적 모델링과 피격선 분석 시스템 (The Target Modeling and The Shot Line Analysis System to Assess Vulnerability of the Ground Combat Vehicle)

  • Vulnerability assessment is a process to calculate the damage degree of a combat vehicle when the combat vehicle is attacked by an enemy. When the vehicle is hit, it is necessary to analyze the shot line to calculate which components are damaged and judge whether the armor of the vehicle is penetrated by enemy's warhead. To analyze the shot line efficiently, this paper presents the target modeling and the shot line analysis system to assess vulnerability of the ground combat vehicle. This system is easily able to do several functions: 1) the program reads STL files converted from CAD model which is designed by commercial CAD software. 2) It calculates the intersection between triangle of STL mesh and the shot line, and check if the components of the model are penetrated. 3) This program can visualize the results using OpenGL. The vulnerability assessment using the shot line analysis can be used to model the armor of the combat vehicle and arrange the inner components effectively in the early stage of development of the combat vehicle.

BDU 신뢰성 검증 (Reliability Verification of Battery Disconnecting Unit)

  • As part of the green growth, The Green Car has attracted wide attention. Types of the Green Car are Electric Vehicle, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, Hybrid Electric Vehicle, Fuel Cell Vehicle and Clean Diesel Vehicle. Of these, The electric vehicle is equipped with the BDU(Battery Disconnecting Unit). BDU is supplying stable battery power and blocking it to protect electrical system of the electric vehicle. The BDU consists of electric components such as current sensor, fuse and pre-charge resistor. These must pass Voltage withstand test, Salt mist test, Thermal shock test, Vibration test and Short-circuit test commonly to verify reliability of the electric components. In addition, The current sensor should be verified whether normal operation. The breaking capacity of fuse should be verified. The durability of pre-charge resistor should be verified by supplying battery power and blocking it repeatedly. The reliability of BDU as well as the electric vehicle is secured by verifying the reliability of electric components. In addition, It will contribute to the acceleration and promotion of Green Car Technology.

  • 차량 부품의 고장은 운용 중단과 탈선 결과로 나타날 수 있으며 차량 주요부품의 이상상태를 진단하는 것은 중요하다. 온도를 이용한 진단 방법은 철도차량 회전기기의 -예를 들면, 베어링, 감속기, 견인전동기, 디스크- 비정상 상태를 진단하는 기본적인 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 적외선열화상과 패턴 이미지법을 이용하여 차량 하부의 회전기기의 이상 진단시스템을 구축하여 현장시험을 수행하였다. 그 이상상태 진단시스템은 차량 하부 회전기기의 이상발열 상태를 진단할 수 있었으며 비정상 상태를 평가할 수 있었다.

  • According to revolutionary developments in automobile technologies, various electronically controlled components of vehicles are rapidly increasing. A variety of advanced vehicles (hybrid vehicle, hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, electric vehicle, etc.) using electrical energy source are increasing, too. The electromagnetic compatibility is getting more important for development of a vehicle because those advanced vehicles are equipped with more new electronic systems. In general, electromagnetic compatibility tests consist of an electromagnetic interference (EMI) test and an electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) test. In this paper, in order to investigate the electromagnetic interference in the cabin of vehicle by various electric and electronic components of vehicles, a series of narrowband electromagnetic emission tests are conducted. For comparison, the several digital home appliances (smartphone under charging, laptop compuer and digital camera), which are used a lot in daily lives, are tested.

Aerodynamics Characteristics of Hypersonic Vehicle in Near Space

  • The purpose of the current study is to examine the aerodynamic characteristics of two hypersonic vehicles in near space. One is derived from waverider shape, and the other from liftbody. The objective of this study are threefold. The first is to creat an computational database for hypersonic vehicle configurations. The second is to examine the effects of individual vehicle components on hypersonic configurations and to determine the differences in aerodynamic characteristics that result from integrating all vehicle components. The third objective is to evaluate the controllability of each of the fully integrated vehicles and the effectiveness of the control surface design. These objectives were accomplished using DSMC solutions and aerodynamic code developed in Northwestern Polytechnical University. The results are analyzed also in three sections. First, the results of the waverider shape and liftbody shape without integrated vehicle components are presented. Second, the results of adding aircraft components to the waverider shape and liftbody shape are presented. Finally, the aerodynamic characteristics of the fully integrated waverider-derived configuration and liftbody-derived configuration are examined and compared with those of the pure waverider shape and liftbody shape. Comparation between fully integrated waverider-derived configuration and liftbody-derived configuration are also presented in this paper.

  • As the vehicle components are various, we confront unexpected problems in the development and application of them. also warranty expenses occur in the result of unconfirmed warranty.in this paper, to solve the problems of disconnection of damper Strut cable, we applied the optimum conditions through taguchi method for improvement of durability. and we made standard of reliability by weibull analysis of the field data. we acquired reliability standard by correlation with lab data and confirmed improved components satisfying the target of reliability. The analysis of reliability by field data is very useful and we need to apply this method to other components, the correlation between field data and Lab Test has influence on satisfying the target of reliability.this method would be utilized for current mass production components and upcoming developed components. the reliability of durability should be continuously used in the basis of primary technique in cope with competitive automotive companies.

  • 본 논문은 자동차 점검이 이루어질 때 작업현장, 교육현장, 기타 시공간에서 현재 상황에 따라 지능화 및 개인화에 근거해 추천함으로써 생산성 향상, 비용절감, 성과향상 등을 이루고자 한다. 이에 본 연구는 태스크 온톨로지를 이용한 자동차 점검 추천시스템 개발 방법을 설계하였다. 추천 방법은 추상개념을 기반으로 각 추상개념에 연결되는 부품들을 가중치 값 순서로 보여줄 수 있도록 하고, 부품이 다른 추상개념과 연결될 경우 부품들을 확장하여 보여 주도록 하였다.

전기자동차의 유럽 OFFSET 충돌 특성 기초 연구 (A Basic Study of the European Offset Characteristics of Electric Vehicle)

  • European offset impact analysis of an electric vehicle was done using the robust design method. Section properties of some of the vehicle structure components which influence the european offset impact characteristics were chosen as the main factors fur the design. Eight factors were considered for the analysis: one with two level and seven with three level combinations comprising the L$\_$18/(2$^1$$\times$3$\^$7/) orthogonal array. It is shown that the sensitivities of the factors and the best combination of the factors can be obtained. One of the noteworthy results is that the design with the lower stiffness of the front components of engine room than the rear components can absorb more crash energy. Also it is shown that there exist interactions between some of factors considered.

  • Under the rapid change of a new vehicle model, it is necessary to develop a durability analysis technique using computer simulation. In order to do this. reliable dynamic stress-time history for the vehicle components must be calculated on various road conditions. In this paper, a full vehicle simulation model which is composed of flexible frame and chassis components is proposed and verified its reliability from the comparison with field test data. Finally, dynamic stress-time history on the rear chassis components is predicted with hybrid and modal superposition method.

RGB 색상 공간에서 색상 성분 이진화를 이용한차량 번호판 색상 분할 (Color Segmentation of Vehicle License Plates in the RGB Color Space Using Color Component Binarization)

  • This paper proposes a new color segmentation method of vehicle license plates in the RGB color space. Firstly, the proposed method shifts the histogram of an input image rightwards and then stretches the image of the histogram slide. Secondly, the method separates each of the three RGB color components and performs the adaptive threshold processing with the three components, respectively. Finally, it combines the three components under the condition of making up a segment color and removes noises with the morphological processing. The proposed method is implemented using C language in an embedded Linux system for a high-speed real-time image processing. Experiments were conducted by using real vehicle images. The results show that the proposed algorithm is successful for most vehicle images. However, the method fails in some vehicles when the body and the license plate have the same color.
