  • This paper presents modal contribution method to reduce vehicle vibration. Normal mode analysis is performed to obtain modal vector matrix. The proposed method uses this modal vector matrix to evaluate forced response of an active mode to the applied engine forces and the rotating force due to wheel unbalance mass. Comparing the responses, of the specific active mode with one another, it can be easily done to determine most contributed mode in the interesting frequency band. Then we can find dominant bushes by the strain energy distribution of the mode. Vibration response is decrease with modification of those bushes.

  • Vector control has been widely used in AC machines for precise control. The application of Vector control for the permanent magnet synchronous motor drive and complete modeling, simulation and analysis of the drive are discussed in this paper. The nonlinear model of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is linearized. Then the theory of vector control is applied to the linearized model in designing controllers. The operation and relevant mathematics model of s pseudo derivative feedback controller are then presented. Two different speed controller design are then considered. A comparative evalation of the two speed controller is also presented.

  • In induction motor control systems driven by the indirect vector control scheme, the rotor speed is measured to determine the flux angle which is a key variable in the control algorithm. The most popular way to measure the angular velocity is the use of rotary encoder. Since the errorneous measurement of rotor speed results in incorrect flux angle estimate, the control input generated based on the faulty information should be far from the desired (correct) value and deteriorates the overall control performance. In this paper the effects of encoder fault on motor variables and control performance are analyzed by both theoretical approach and experimental study. A parity equation based on the Power is suggested and applied to detect the incipient fault of encoder.

  • In this paper, The Frenet-Serret formula of classical geometric curve theory with the concept of a missile pointing velocity vector are used to analyze and design a missile guidance law. The capture capability of this guidance law is qualitatively studied by comparing the rotations of the velocity vectors of missile and target relative to the line of sight vector. when fuzzy Table look-up theory applied in target-missile distance & angle displacement, this research. It's performance is better then classical research.

  • The motion vector estimation and motion boundary detection have been briskly studied since they are an important clue for analysis of object structure and 3-d motion. The purpose of this researches is more exact estimation, but there are two main causes to make inaccurate. The one is the erroneous measurement of gradients in brightness values and the other is the blurring of motion boundries which is caused by the smoothness constraint. In this paper, we analyze the gradient measurement error of conventional methods and propose new technique based on it. When the proposed method is applied to the motion boundary detection in Schunck and motion vector estimation in Horn & Schunck, it is shown to have much better performance than conventional method is some artificial and real image sequences.

  • Experimental data for the flows in a mixing tank with a bottom agitator are useful for the validation of CFD commercial code. A hybrid volume PIV measurement technique was constructed to measure the flows inside of the mixing tank. The measurement system consists of three cameras. An agitator was installed at the bottom of the tank and it rotates clockwise and counterclockwise. Using the constructed measurement system, instantaneous vector fields were obtained. A phase averaging technique was adopted for the measured instantaneous three-dimensional velocity vector fields. Turbulent properties were evaluated from the instantaneous vector fields.

  • This paper studies the analysis of multivariate nonstationary time series with seasonality. Three types of multivariate time series models are considered: seasonal cointegration model, nonseasonal cointegration model with seasonal dummies, and vector autoregressive model in seasonal differences that are compared for forecasting performances using Korean macro-economic time series data. The cointegration models produce smaller forecast errors in short horizons; however, when longer forecasting periods are considered the vector autoregressive model appears preferable.

  • This paper proposes an early termination method of a block vector search for fast encoding of high efficiency video coding (HEVC) screen content coding (SCC). In the proposed algorithm, two blocks indicated by two block vector predictors (BVPs) were first employed as an intra block copy (IBC) search. If the sum of absolute difference (SAD) value of the block is less than a threshold defined empirically, an IBC BV search is terminated early. The initial threshold for early termination is derived by statistical analysis and it can be modified adaptively based on a quantization parameter (QP). The proposed algorithm is evaluated on SCM-2.0 under all intra (AI) coding configurations. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm reduces IBC BV search time by 29.23% on average while the average BD-rate loss is 0.41% under the HEVC SCC common test conditions (CTC).

  • Characteristic boundary conditions are discussed in conjunction with a flux-difference splitting formulation as modified from Roe's linearization. Details of how one can implement the characteristic boundary conditions which are made compatible with the interior point formulation are described for different types of boundaries including subsonic outflow and adiabatic wall. The validity of boundary conditions are demonstrated through computation of transonic airfoil, supersonic ogive-cylinder, hypersonic cylinder, and S-duct internal flows. The computed wall pressure distributions are compared with published experimental and computed data. Objectives of this paper are thus to give insight of formulation procedure of a flux-difference splitting method and to pave ways for other users to adopt present boundary procedure on their numerical methods.
