  • We show that two concepts of h-stability and h-stability in variation for nonlinear difference systems are equivalent by using the concept of $n_{\infty}$-summable similarity of their associated variational systems. Also, we study h-stability for perturbed non-linear system y(n+1) =f(n,y(n)) + g(n,y(n), Sy(n)) of nonlinear difference system x(n+1) =f(n,x(n)) using the comparison principle and extended discrete Bihari-type inequality.

  • In the current study, our aim is to define new generalized extended beta and hypergeometric types of functions. Next, we methodically determine several integral representations, Mellin transforms, summation formulas, and recurrence relations. Moreover, we provide log-convexity, Turán type inequality for the generalized extended beta function and differentiation formulas, transformation formulas, differential and difference relations for the generalized extended hypergeometric type functions. Also, we additionally suggest a generating function. Further, we provide the generalized extended beta distribution by making use of the generalized extended beta function as an application to statistics and obtaining variance, coefficient of variation, moment generating function, characteristic function, cumulative distribution function, and cumulative distribution function's complement.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between the transformation of Chinese regional development policy and trends in spatial inequality in mainland China. More specifically, it has attempted to identify the effects of Chinese regional development policies on regional economic inequality by investigating the coefficient of variation and Gini coefficient with GRDP in the province level. Regional inequality in China had increased from 1979 economic reform, but has eased since the 10th Five Year Plan(2001~2005) due to large-scale state investments in the western, central and northeastern regions. However, the analysis is likely to be resulted from the national level. Trends in regional inequality are differentiated in accordance with the eastern, central, northeastern and western regions. For example, regional inequality in the central region has increased, whereas other three regions has decreased since the 10th Five Year Plan. It has played a role in cutting down regional inequality in the national level. In particular, the central region has kept inequality since the 12th Five Year Guideline. It has led to the convergence of the regional economies in the national level. It has stemmed from some limits to greater regional policies in the Central region enforced in the 11th Five Year Guideline(2005~2010).

  • Background: Unmet healthcare needs have many advantages for measuring inequalities in healthcare use. However, the existing indicator is difficult to capture the reality of unmet healthcare needs sufficiently and is not quite appropriate in comparing regional inequality. The purpose of this study is to critically analyze the utilization of the unmet healthcare need indicator for regional healthcare inequalities research. Methods: We used the level of healthcare accessibility and healthcare need to categorize the regions that are known to cause differences in healthcare utilization between regions and verified how existing unmet healthcare need indicator is distributed at the regional level. Results: Four types of regions were classified according to the high and low levels of healthcare needs and accessibility. The hypothesis about the regional type expected to have the highest unmet healthcare need was not proved. The hypothesis about the lowest expected regional type was proved, but the difference in the average rate of unmet healthcare needs among regional types was not significant. The standard deviation of the rate of unmet healthcare needs among regions within the same type was also higher than the overall regional variation, which also disproved the whole frame of hypothesis. Conclusion: Failure to prove the hypothesis means the gap between the supposed meaning of the indicator and the reality. In order to understand the current state of healthcare utilization of people in various regions of Korea and to resolve inequality, fundamental research on the in-depth structure and mechanisms of healthcare utilization is needed.

  • This study analyzes human development convergence and the impact of funds transfer to the regions using σ and β-convergence analysis method. Observations were made in all Indonesia's provinces in the period 2010-2019. The coefficient of variation calculation shows a dispersion in the inequality of human development, which means that convergence occurred. This is also documented by the clustering analysis results developed in the study. The results are in line with the hypothesis of neoclassical theory, which shows the tendency for provinces with lower human development levels to grow relatively faster. The dynamic panel data approach with the GMM model shows that a model built with explanatory variables for transfer of funds to regions may lead to the process of convergence of human development - 2.21% per year or 31 years to cover the half-life of convergence. This is a consequence of the Special Allocation Fund and the Village Fund, which positively impact the convergence process, and the General Allocation Fund and the Revenue Sharing Fund with negative signs slowing the convergence process. This evidence opens opportunities to review the justification of the weighting component in determining the amount of funds transferred to the region to accelerate the convergence process of human development.

  • To steer a camera is done based on system parameters of the vision system. However, the system parameters when they are used might be different from those when they were measured. As one method to compensate for this problem, this research proposes a gaze-steering method based on LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) that is robust to variations in the system parameters of the vision system. Simulation results show that the proposed method produces less gaze-tracking error than a contemporary linear method and more stable gaze-tracking error than a contemporary nonlinear method. Moreover, the proposed method is fast enough for realtime processing.

  • Objectives: The contribution of health behavior is high in the mortality variation. Mortality variation can be decreased through the policies and programs for improving health behavior. We investigated that health behaviors effected with standardized mortality in community. Methods: We examined the distribution of health determinant factors and correlation analyzed between factors and performed multiple linear regression. Data were collected from 2012 Community Health Survey in 253 communities, annual regional statistics, and statistics from Statistics Korea. Results: This study defined that the variation of standardized mortality and there are exist inequality level of health determinant factors in 253 communities. This study showed that the higher standardized mortality explained through health behavior factors of the current smoking rate, walking exercise rate and diagnosis of hypertension or diabetes rate after adjusted other factors(adjusted $R^2=0.709$, p<0.001). Conclusions: Smoking, walking exercise and diagnosis chronic disease affecting on the regional variation of standardized mortality. These factors can be improved by the local residents themselves.

  • An active phased array antenna consists of many channels. Each channel has a different initial phase shift and gain because of the inequality in the active circuits themselves, interface between radiators and active circuits, and beam-forming circuits and other antenna system configurations. This raises an inherent problem in active phased array antennas. To compensate for this problem the initial phase and gain of each channel should be calibrated. This paper presents an efficient calibration method for an initial phase variation of each channel in active phased array antennas. We tested our method in an active phased array antenna, and obtained good results in the radiation pattern and beam direction of antenna.

  • In this paper, we introduce and consider a new system of relaxed cocoercive variational inequalities involving three different operators and the concept of projective nonexpansive mapping. Base on the projection technique, we suggest two kinds of new iterative methods for the approximate solvability of this system. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the main results of [S.S. Chang, H.W.J. Lee, C.K. Chan, Generalized system for relaxed co coercive variational inequalities in Hilbert spaces, Appl. Math. Lett. 20 (2007) 329-334] and [Z. Huang, M. (2007), doi:10.1016/j.amc.2007.01.032].
