This paper presents a control algorithm for a large salient-pole synchronous motor fed by a Load Commutated Inverter (LCI). Many papers have been presented in the past few years on the justification, design, and application of variable-speed drive. The focus of this paper is on high torque operation and the estimation of initial rotor position. The results of simulation indicate that it is possible to produce the maximum torque and estimate the initial rotor position.

Generalized linear models have various applications for data arising from many kinds of statistical studies. Although the response variable is generally assumed to be generated from a wide class of probability distributions we focus on count data that are most often analyzed using binomial models for proportions or poisson models for rates. The methods and results presented here also apply to many other categorical data models in general due to the relationship between multinomial and poisson sampling. The novelty of the approach suggested here is that all conditional distribution s can be specified directly so that staraightforward Gibbs sampling is possible. The prior distribution consists of two stages. We rely on a normal nonconjugate prior at the first stage and a vague prior for hyperparameters at the second stage. The methods are demonstrated with an illustrative example using data collected by Rosenkranz and raftery(1994) concerning the number of hospital admissions due to back pain in Washington state.

As the dependence on information systems in enterprises has grown dramatically, the importance of implementing information systems in audit has been increased as well. However, there is a lact of about utilization of information system for audit process. Thus, this study is to investigate the factors that effect auditor's adopting Data Analytics to audit work. Through literature research and focus group interview, we added two factors that affect the behavioral intention to UTAUT model. We have selected performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, anxiety, task fit, behavioral intention as variables and verified hypotheses based on survey questionnaires from auditors. As a result, it was found that performance expectations, social influence, task fit influenced the behavior intention. In Addition, we analyzed adding two variables, IT-related work experience and type of auditor as moderate variable. This study has an implication for companies to motivate implementation as well as activation of Data Analytics technique.

In this paper, the techniques and design focus of flexible gain coltrol of LAN(Low Noise Amplifier) using the TSMC 0.18um CMOS process. The design frequency set up a standard on 2.4GHz that is used in Zigbee system. The design concepts a basic Cascode LNA techniques and a swiching circuit consisted of 4 NMOS of load resistance, which convert the output impedenceby tuning on or off. The result show the gain change by NMOS operated swich. The simulation result is that Gain is 14.07dB-16.79dB and NF(Noise Figure) is 1.06dB-1.09dB.

This study analyzed the demographic characteristics, strengths and weaknesses related to information acquisition of local innovation diffusion types. This study use ordered probit model to find strengths and weaknesses of innovation diffusion type in rural area. The individual characteristics of 'formal extension type', 'situational reaction diffusion type', 'agriculturist connection type', and 'systematic approach type', all differentiated according to innovation diffusion type, were analyzed. Following Choi & Choe(2008), immediacy, accessibility, referability, applicability, and satisfaction were the highest in the situational reaction diffusion type, systematic approach type, formal extension type, and farmers connection type, in the order. And there existed organic contexts among individual characteristics. So this study tried to analyze strengths and weaknesses of innovation diffusion type with a focus on immediacy, which emerged as the most important variable in the process of interpreting innovation diffusion. And the strengths and weaknesses of each innovation diffusion type were presented.

Since the advent of whole-genome sequencing, transposable elements (TEs), just thought to be 'junk' DNA, have been noticed because of their numerous copies in various eukaryotic genomes. Many studies about TEs have been conducted to discover their functions in their host genomes. Based on the results of those studies, it has been generally accepted that they have a function to cause genomic and genetic variations. However, their infinite functions are not fully elucidated. Through various mechanisms, including de novo TE insertions, TE insertion-mediated deletions, and recombination events, they manipulate their host genomes. In this review, we focus on Alu, L1, human endogenous retrovirus, and short interspersed element/variable number of tandem repeats/Alu (SVA) elements and discuss how they have affected primate genomes, especially the human and chimpanzee genomes, since their divergence.

The purpose of the study was to investigate parent care consciousness at the viewpoint of symbolic interaction perspective-familism, norms of home, relation of their parent. data were collected form questionnaires with 267 male and female who were in the age of 10-50 and residents of Seoul. the data were analyzed with the SPSS statistical package. The major findings were as follows : (1) The general trends of symbolic interaction perspective's variable and parent care consciousness showed relatively high. (2) symbolic interaction perspective's variables was affected by socio-demographic variables. (3) Parent care consciousness was affected by marital status, age, cohabiation status with a grandparent. (4) The correlations of parent care consciousness was significant in symbolic interaction perspective's variables.

This study deals with relationship among wedding consciousness, behavior and satisfaction of both young housewives and mothers of married daughters. The major result are as follows : 1) In comparisons of difference among wedding consciousness, behavior and satisfaction of young housewives and mothers of married daughters, young housewives showed more modern wedding consciousness, more rational wedding behavior and higher wedding satisfaction than mothers of married daughters. 2) It shows that wedding consciousness of young housewives and mothers of married daughters so influenced wedding behavior, that the more modern wedding consciousness they have, the more rational wedding behavior they show. 3) It is proved that variable which has impact on wedding satisfaction is preparing of articles essential to a marriage and receiving wedding presents of both young housewives and mothers of married daughters.

Vascular dementia is a very frequent form of dementia. Debates over classification and diagnostic criteria, and controversy over identifiable treatment targets will continue until distinct pathophysiological mechanism of vascular dementia is found. Clinical diagnostic criteria are sufficiently strong to be useful for clinical trials, but need further refinement. Cognitive changes in vascular dementia are more variable than other disorders, and are dependent on the vascular pathology. Accurate diagnosis of vascular dementia is known to need the presence of reliable cerebrovascular disease on brain imaging. Although it seems obvious that cerebrovascular disease causes pathological damage and impaired cognition, it is very difficult to find the accurate contribution of cerebrovascular pathology to cognitive decline. Most studies have shown a small but significant benefit of cholinesterase inhibitors on cognition, the significance of this effect has been slight and benefits on global functioning, activities of daily living, and behaviour have not been consistently reported. Management of vascular dementia should focus on identifying and managing vascular risk factors.

We present investigations of the surface micromachining for transparent glass substrate, e.g. soda lime glass using tightly focused 800nm Ti:sapphire femtosecond laser. In this study, experiment conditions such as laser intensity, scanning speed, focus position were controlled as variable parameters to decide optimal machining conditions. This study shows clearly that laser intensity and scanning speed are dominant factors for good surface morphology. Using the optimal conditions, grooves with 50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ line width were fabricated on glass substrate and their surface morphologies were investigated from SEM image.
