  • due to the modification of ventilation system for variable speed high efficiency PMSM, the ventilation structure is analyzed in this part. First, a cooling structure was proposed for the variable speed PMSM. Through the contrast result of whole stress and speed distribution in the cooling channel by fluid field, the fans setting fashion is confirmed. By the studying of cooling structure for improved PMSM, the position of the cooling hole in the rotor is optimized by the finite element method. At last, the thermal field distribution of the motor is calculated by FEM. The calculated thermal rise is in accord with measured value, which provides effective basement for the design and safety operation of PMSM.

  • The application of A.C. motor to servo system is rapidly increased according to the recent advance of power electronics and digital control techniques. The induction motor which has a simple structure and needs less maintenance is used in the industrial field for the variable speed and position control recently. In this paper, the current characteristic of the full-bridge resonant inverter is studied by comparing with the computer simulation and the laboratory experiment when the ratio of forced frequency to the natural frequency and the ratio of conduction time to the period at the given frequency is changed. And then, the full-bridge resonant inverter is applied to the speed control of single phase induction motor.

  • The equivalent transformation of a brushless DC motor into an separately exited DC motor has been possible with the vector control technique. Vector control is an effective technique for controlling variable speed drives of brushless DC motors. Conventional vector controllers, however, suffer from electrical machine parameter variations because these controllers depend on the parameters. This paper presents the vector control of brushless DC motor using a neural network. In the proposed method, a neural network is employed as on-line estimator of the nonlinear dynamic equations of brushless DC motor. The neural network based vector controller has the advantage of robustness against machine parameter variations as compared with conventional vector controller The simulation results using Matlab/Simulink verify the useful of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, a novel design method of variable motor inetia in Induction motor drive system is proposed. The inertia of a load and a motor are estimated by using RLS (Recursive Least Square) algorithm. The speed controller is designed by Kharitonove theory of motor. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified with simulation and experiments results.

  • 본 논문에서는 3상 영구자석 동기전동기의 속도리플 저감을 위한 가변형 비례공진 전향보상 알고리즘을 제안한다. 일반적인 토크 맥동의 원인은 전류측정오차 및 데드타임으로 인한 전기적 맥동과 회전자 편심과 편심 부하로 인해 발생될 수 있다. 이러한 토크 맥동은 전동기의 속도 맥동을 야기하고 전동기 구동 시스템의 운전 성능을 저하시킬 수 있다. 이를 위한 본 논문에서는 속도 맥동의 원인을 분석하고 속도 맥동을 저감하기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 속도 맥동에 포함된 특정 운전 주파수를 저감하기 위해 가변형 비례 공진 제어기를 적용하였고, 전향보상 제어기 구조를 이용하여 보상동작이 수행되도록 하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 다양한 실험을 통하여 타당성과 효용성을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 유도전동기의 센서리스 속도제어기에 대한 연구이다. 유도전동기의 속도의 제어방법은 자속추정을 위한 기준모델로써 부하-토크 관측기를 이용한 MRAS(Model Reference Adaptive System)를 기초로 하였으며, 전형적인 MRAS 제어기 특성의 속도응답은 부하 토크 외란의 변화에 영향을 미친다. 따라서 제안된 시스템에서의 부하-토크 관측기를 사용한 속도제어 특성은 부하 토크 외란에 의한 영향을 받지 않는다. 이러한 제어 알고리즘을 MATLAB의 SIMULINK를 통해 전체 시스템을 모델링하여 시뮬레이션 한 결과는 유도 전동기의 다양한 부하 구동 적용에 대한 슬라이딩 속도 제어기의 효과적인 개선이 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 이러한 제어 방법들이 산업 응용분야에 확대되어 적용되었으면 한다.

  • The field oriented control of induction motors is widely used in high performance applications. However, detuning caused by parameter disturbance still limits the performance of these drives. In order to accomplish variable speed operation conventional PI-like controllers are commonly used. These controllers provide limited good performance over a wide range of operation even under ideal field oriented conditions. This paper is proposed adaptive fuzzy controller(AFC) and artificial neural network(ANN) based on the vector controlled induction motor drive system. Also, this paper is proposed control of speed and current using fuzzy adaptation mechanism(FAM), AFC and estimation of speed using ANN. The proposed control algorithm is applied to induction motor drive system using FAM, AFC and ANN controller. Also, this paper is proposed the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of this controller.

Adaptive Variable Angle Control in Switched Reluctance Motor Drives for Electric Vehicle Applications

  • Switched reluctance motor (SRM) is suitable for electric vehicle (EV) applications with the advantages of simple structure, good overload capability, and inherent fault-tolerance performance. The SRM dynamic simulation model is built based on torque, voltage, and flux linkage equations. The EV model is built on the basis of the analysis of forces acting on a vehicle. The entire speed range of the SRM drive is then divided into constant torque and constant power areas. The command torque of the motor drive system is given according to the accelerator pedal coefficient and motor operation areas. A novel adaptive variable angle control is proposed to avoid the switching chattering between the current chopping control and angle position control modes in SRM drives for EV applications. Finally, simulation analysis and experimental results are conducted to verify the accuracy of the proposed simulation model and control strategy.

  • 현재 공기제동의 문제점을 보완하기 위한 유지보수와 환경문제, 효율성, 경제성 등을 개선하기 위하여 정지에서 고속영역까지의 전 영역에서 전기 브레이크의 모든 주행 범위와 관련된 제동력을 제시하였다. 결과적으로 는 제동력의 효율과 첨단 기술은 에너지 활용을 확장 시켰으며, 본 논문을 통하여 모든 주행 범위에서의 소음이 저감되며, 유지 보수 비용의 절감 효과가 있었다. 트랙션 모터는 인버터의 최대 전압을 제어하는 고속 운전 특성 구동을 위해 트랙션 모터의 가변 속도와 트랙션 모터의 단자 전압을 가져 와야 한다. 따라서 시뮬레이션을 통한 구동 및 브레이크 변경에 대해 연구하였다.

Analysis on Harmonic Loss of IPMSM for the Variable DC-link Voltage through the FEM-Control Coupled Analysis

  • This paper describes the loss analysis based on load conditions of the air conditioning compressor motors using variable dc-link voltage. The losses of PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) should be analyzed by the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) output of inverter. The harmonic loss by the PWM cannot consider that using the current source analysis of the inverter. In addition, when the voltage of dc-link is variable with the condition of variable speed and load conditions in motor, the losses of motor are also changeable, however it is hard to analyze those losses by only electromagnetic finite element method (FEM). Therefore, this paper proposes the analysis method considering the carrier frequency of the inverter and the varying state of the dc-link voltage through the FEM-control coupled analysis. Using proposed analysis method, additional core loss and eddy current loss of permanent magnet caused by PWM could be analyzed. Finally, the validity of the proposed analysis method is verified through the comparison the result of coupled analysis with experiment.
