According to electrical output up rating of a permanent magnet motor and request to operate for a large variable speed range, resonance between structural natural vibration and electromagnetic force inside the motor can take place and make noise. This paper describes the mechanism of a resonance between them and noise lowering procedure by frequency shift when they are applied to the reluctance torque largely employed new motor named Permanent magnet Reluctance Motor (PRM).
Design variables for suspension systems cannot always be realized in the actual suspension systems due to tolerances in manufacturing and assembly processes. In order to deal with these tolerances, design variables associated with kinematic configuration and compliance characteristics of suspensions are treated as random variables. The reliability of a design target with respect to a design variable is defined as the probability that the design target is in the acceptable design range for all possible values of the design variable. To compute reliability, the limit state, which is the boundary between the acceptable and unacceptable design, is expressed mathematically by a limit state function with value greater than 0 for acceptable design, and less than 0 for unacceptable design. Through reliability analysis, the acceptable range of design variables that satisfy a reliability target is specified. Furthermore, through sensitivity analysis, a general procedure for optimization of the design target with respect to the design variables has been established.
In this paper, it is presumed that the stress time history was generated by simulation method and investigated compatibility in regard to the reappearance of stress time history. In this procedure, the identified frequency distribution of stress range of the steel railroad bridge varies with the rational values of cut off point and bar width. Thus, we show variable aspect of the equivalent stress range results from change of cut off point and bar width. In addition, we analyze the variable of RMC and RMS model due to the cut off point and bar width of the measured stress history which influencs the prediction of fatigue life in the steel railroad bridge. The simulated stress time history is carried out by the superposition method incorporating the vertical load with rotation moment obtained from the Hermition interpolation function, and compared with developing stress results from measured maxi mum stress. Through this study, we can estimate the remaining fatigue life from a safety point of view and comparative accuracy.
In this paper, 'relations of proportion are used in the introduction of function concept' in 7-first stage of 7th mathematics curriculum is focused. Under the assumption that above statement means dependence-centered view in the teaching of function, the contents of function In 7-first stage is interpreted. Some issues are critically contemplated, And, finally, statement of using relations of proportion in the introduction of function concept is interpreted as dependence-centered view in the teaching of function. Conclusions are as follows: (1) symbol y= f(x) is not inevitable. (2) Term 'codomain' must not be used. (3) Term 'range of x' and 'range of y' must be used. (4) Term 'independent variable' and 'dependent variable' must be used.
The use of fixed-point digital signal processors, such as the TMS 320C25, requires scaling of data at each arithmetic step to prevent overflows while keeping the accuracy. A software which automatizes this process is developed for TMS 320C25. The programmers use a model of a hypothetical floating-point digital signal processor and a floating-point format for data representation. However, the program and data are automatically translated to a fixed-point version by this software. Thus, the execution speed is not sacrificed. A fixed-point variable has a unique binary-point location, which is dependent on the range of the variable. The range is estimated from the floating-point simulation. The number of shifts needed for arithmetic or data transfer step is determined by the binary-points of the variables associated with the operation. A fixed-point code generator is also developed by using the proposed automatic scaling software. This code generator produces floating-point assembly programs from the specifiations of FIR, IIR, and adaptive transversal filters, then floating-point programs are transformed to fixed-point versions by the automatic scaling software.
The windup phenomenon appears and degrades control performance when a controller with integrating action is used and plant input is limited. An anti-windup integal-proportional(IP) controller is proposed for the variable-speed moter drives and it is experimentally applied to the speed control of a vector-controlled induction moter driven by a pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage source inverter (VSI). The consistency range of the IP controller is firstly derived and the intergal state is controlled to salisfy always the consistency range according to whether the the controller output is saturated or not. Although the operating condition like moter load or speed command is changed under the limited plant input, It is expermentally verified that the speed response has much improved performance, such as no overshoot and fast settling time, and the maximmum plant input is also effectively utilized.
In this paper, we propose a simulator to evaluate the performance of the semi-active laser guidance or the quadrant photodetector and to simulate the laser power reflected from a target. The laser pulse repetition frequency was generated and synchronized with the laser pulse repetition(PRF) code. To evaluate the performances of the proposed methods, we implemented a prototype system and performed experiments. As a result, the generated high voltage was variable in the range of DC 3V to 340V and has the rate of change of 2000 V/s. PRF code can be generated within 50ms ∼ 100ms and the error is implemented within 0.3ns. The laser output is synchronized with the PRF code and has a dynamic range of 23.6dB.
In this paper, a simple power control scheme for a constant frequency Class-D inverter with a variable duty cycle is proposed. It is more suitable and acceptable for high- frequency induction heating (IH) jar applications. The proposed control scheme has the advantages of not only wide power regulation range but also ease of control output power. Also it can achieve a stable and efficient Zero-Voltage-Switching (ZVS) in a whole load range. The control principles of the proposed method are described in detail and its validity is verified through simulated and experimental results on 42.8kHz IGBT for induction heating rated on 1.6kW with constant frequency variable power.
A CMOS Gm-C filter with variable cutoff frequency applicable for using in the direct conversion receiver is designed. The designed filter comprises the CMOS differential transconductors, and the gm of the transconductor is controlled by the bias voltage. This configuration can compensate variant of the cutoff frequency which could be generated by external noises, and also be used in multiband receiver. As a results of HSPICE simulation, the control range of the cutoff frequency is $1.5MHz{\sim}3.5MHz$ and the gain control range is $-2.8dB{\sim}2.6dB$. The layout of the designed 5th-order Elliptic low-pass filter is performed to fabricate a chip using $2.5V-0.25{\mu}m$ CMOS processing parameter.
