Noise map is a presentation of existing data or predicted noise situation in terms of noise indicator. However, it has shortcoming for assessing the number of people exposed, or the number of dwellings affected to any relevant limit values of noise level in certain areas. In this study, so called over-ride value noise mapping is proposed to make up for the shortcoming by using over-ride function of object-oriented programming and it is to show the guard of the area where it is satisfied the standard of option, or it is not satisfactory. Over-ride value noisemap data is combined with topography layer, population and house statistics, and GIS space statistical analysis. The over-ride value noise mapping can also he applied to make the road traffic noisemap, the railroad noisemap, the aircraft noisemap, and the industrial site noisemap This can express noise damage information more exactly.

It was known that properties of superconducting tapes could be influenced by mechanical processing method. In this presentation, the effect of drawing method on the final properties of superconductor tape has been systematically studied. Firstly, BSCCO/Ag tapes have been fabricated via two-stage drawing method and conventional rolling process. The two-stage drawing process consists of circular dies drawing and rectangular dies drawing. Important parameters such as fill factor and critical current values of fully processed superconducting tapes have been evaluated to elucidate the effect of drawing method.

If one is to estimate environmemtal risk based on data or predict risk based on expert opinion the parameter environmental risk musk be defined precisely so that when data becomes available the numerical values of the estimates and/or prediction can be evaluated. Also the definitionmust be precise so that it may be successfully used in regulatory and litigation activities. The presentation is a develop-ment of a definition which lends to statistical analysis and to inference in addition lends to ease of engineering interpretation. Various impli-cations and useful extensions in measuring numerically for two or more dimensional mixed effects of several toxicants could be developed in further research.

The degree of air pollution is usually presented in terms of concentration. But, in evaluating the environmental impacts or air pollution control policies, the concentration values need to be interpreted in terms of damage effects on property and human health. The damage effect varies with the types of pollution, subjects and land use pattern of an affected area. Therefore, this study is aimed at developing a method of analyzing effects of various types of air pollutions on surrounding environmental setting with the EIMS (Environmental Information Management System) developed for land suitability analysis. Using the method formulated in this study, the long- term effects of such pollutants as $SO_2$ and HF on types of vegetation and residents, and potential, short-term effects of HCl leak accidents from manufacturing facilities in Ulsan and Onsan Industrial complex are analyzed. The presentation of the damage effects of air pollution rather than the concentration of pollutants will be useful for the preparation of environmental impact statements, the formulation of environmental policies, and the development of land use plans in heavily industrialized areas.

The importance of the role of plastic spin in the rate-dependent response of materials at large deformations is the main objective of this work. After a brief presentation of a general consitutive framework for visco-rigid plasticity at large strains an isotropic/kinematic hardening and a visco-rigid plastic model are used to analyze the stress-strain response under simple shear. A clear understanding of the role of plastic spin is achieved by obtaining numerical analyzed results for different stress values in which the plastic spin consititutive parameters interrelaste with the strain rate and other more conventional model constants, Especially this paper is concerned with introducing behaviors of Al7075

Anemia can be defined as a reduction in blood hemoglobin concentration or red cell mass relative to age matched normal values. Clinical presentation may range from obviously pale and lethargy to an incidental finding during screening of an otherwise well appearing child. The differential diagnosis of anemia in each instance is broad with numerous possible etiologies. A careful history and physical examination as well as complete blood count, peripheral blood smear and additional laboratory tests are necessary in defining underlying cause of the anemia and guide in further treatment plans. In addition, Iron deficiency anemia and anemia of inflammation are common causes of mild to moderate anemia in children, but most pediatricians have some confusions to differentiate these two entities.

In Korea, characterized in most cases by limited area or high earth resistivity, it is likely to design narrow distances between grounding conductors, with a view to keeping ground resistance and touch voltage below the safety margin values. A new grounding method is suggested, making use of double meshes, to lower touch voltage in a confined area, since it is difficult to lay the plugs under the ground with narrow gaps between them on a limited site. For the presentation of a new model, the suggested grounding system has been analyzed and studied in ground resistance, touch voltage and step voltage, using IEEE Std. 80 calculations and computer simulations.

In this paper, the techniques for implementing the dashboard functions of a SHEV bus are development by using a touch panel. The algorithms for controlling linearly the angle of each gauge according to the measured sensors values. The hardware technique presentation and the development for implementing the On/Off information of each telltale lamp in the touch panel. The system is implemented by the 32-bit DSP, and it is installed and tested on the real SHEV bus. Also on/off switching status of all telltale lamps cab be investigated through the touch panel.

The elegant early experiments of Herschel demonstrated that there is light after the visible spectrum in a region we call the near infrared (NIR). This was followed by the work which showed that the spectrum went further into what we call the mid infrared (MIR). The MIR has been used for many years as a qualitative and quantitative region to measure constituent values. The MIR region contains the fundamental vibrations which can be theoretically calculated from symmetry rules and harmonic oscillator equations. The NIR is not as straight forward because the region from 400-2500 nm does not contain any of the fundamental vibrations only combination bands and overtones. Over the past fifty years efforts to understand the NIR have largely been ignored while the quantitative aspects of the region have been utilized. This presentation will focus on the efforts to define terms for NIR, examine the calculation of combination bands and overtones and ways to interpret the spectra. The interpretation of the NIR has been aided greatly in recent years by the use of two dimensional spectroscopy which allows the correlation of bands in one spectral region with that of the NIR.
