A Study on the Extraction of Correlated Color Temperature, Illuminance, Control Speed under Controllable LED Lighting in the Kitchen Space (제어가능한 부엌공간 LED조명에서의 색온도, 조도, 제어속도 추출에 관한 연구)

  • This study has found out appropriate scopes of correlated color temperature and illuminance value with regard to general diffused lighting and work in the kitchen. It also has presented appropriate photometric quantity control speed for behavioral change with the following results. 1)For general diffused lighting, the appropriate photometric quantity has turned out to be 4,000 to 4,500K in color temperature and illuminance value of 300 to 400lx. And 300lx at 4,500K has proven to be the most comfortable, behavior-appropriate, and preferred pair. 2)As far as appropriate photometric quantity for work is concerned, color temperature of 4,000 to 5,000K and illuminance value of 600 to 800lx are appropriate, while 700lx at 4,500 to 5,000K are the most comfortable, behavior-appropriate, and preferred set. 3)As for appropriate photometric quantity control speed in behavioral change, 3 to 5 seconds has proven the most comfortable, appropriate, and preferred for behavioral change from entry to general areas and 1 to 3 seconds for change from general to work.

Cardiac Performance of Turtle Heart in Various pH of Perfusate (자라에서 본 관류액(灌流液) pH와 심장박출량(心臟搏出量))

  • Cardiac performances were analyzed in intact turtle heart(Amyda japonica), perfusing with turtle Ringer-Locke's solution containing various hydrogen ion concentration, at several levels of arterial and venous pressure. 1. Ventricular work increased when venous pressure, or venous filling pressure increased, and also increased when arterial pressure increased. 2. The higher the arterial pressure, the lower the cardiac to output, for arterial pressure is the resistance to the ventricular blood flow. On the other hand, in specific arterial pressure, cardiac output was proportional to the venous filling pressure. 3. Heart rates did not change significantly during the perfusion with Ringel· solution of various pH. 4. In the heart Perfused with Ringer solution of various pH, ventricular work was the highest at PH 7.6 (at 6 $cmH_2O$ arterial pressure and 8 $cmH_2O$ venous pressure, the ventricular work was 63.09m$\cdot$cm). However, within the range of pH $7.1{\sim}7.6$, there were no significant changes in cardiac output and ventricular work. Below the level of pH 7.0, ventricular work decreased to less than 56% of maximium value (at $6cmH_2O$ arterial pressure and $8cmH_2O$ venous Pressure, ventricular work was 36.0$gm{\cdot}$ at pH 7.0). At pH 7.7 ventricular work decreased to less than 48% of maximum value (ventricular work: 30.0 $gm{\cdot}$). The nature of the cardiac performance at the various arterial and venous pressures was similar to that of normal heart. 5. Turtle heart seemed to be relatively insensitive to acid-base disturbances. The mechanism of negative inotropic effect of hydrogen ion was discussed.

A Study on Mitigation of Information Security Related Work Stress (정보보안 관련 업무 스트레스 완화에 대한 연구)

  • Recently organizations are implementing strict security policies and technologies to minimize security incidents. However, strict information security can cause work stress of employees and can make it difficult to achieve security goals. The purpose of this study is to present the preconditions for mitigating the negative impact of security-related work stress. We conducted a questionnaire survey of employees working in the financial industry and secured a total of 266 samples. The test of the research hypothesis was carried out by structural equation modeling. As a result, work stress had a negative effect on compliance intention, and value congruence reduced work stress. Also, security feedback had a moderating effect on the relationship between research factors. The results have theoretical and practical implications for mitigating work stress of employees.

A Preliminary Study on the Leisure Life Style in Korea : Based on the life value system and leisure life type

  • Leisure time is a critical part of modern life and is increasingly important in modern society. Therefore, analyzing expectations and values of leisure and researching leisure practices are integral in measuring the quality of life. In this respect, differences between values and attitudes leading to the ideal leisure life and the actual leisure life could provoke negative influence on our lives, further, decreasing quality of life. Therefore, classifying leisure lifestyle through analyzing value of lifestyle and the actual state of leisure precisely is very necessary. Leisure lifestyle could be very useful standard satisfying various desires and demands related to leisure. In the research, we surveyed 3,000 people over 10 years of age, one on one interview method, asking value of life behaviors (Individualism vs. Collectivism, Pro-Stability vs. Pro-Change, Statistical way of life vs. Active way of life, Family-centered life vs. Work-centered life) and practices of leisure life (With whom, How frequently, Where, For what) in respect to both value and behaviors. Through this survey, five groups of leisure life type have been identified; "Community-oriented Type", "Cocoon Type", "Family-oriented Type", "Personal-stability Type" and "Multiplicity Type". These leisure lifestyles would provide effectual alternatives for reducing gaps between expectations for ideal leisure life and actual life. Furthermore, this could be used for ground work to develop measurements for satisfying various leisure demands.

Studies on the Residual Bending Strength of Burned Wood treated with Fire-retardant Chemicals (내화처리연소목(耐火處理燃燒木)의 잔류(殘留) 휨강도에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • The $3{\times}3{\times}30$ ($cm^3$) sized lumbers of Populus alba-grandulosa L. were treated with four fire-retardant solutions of ammonium sulfate, monoammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate and aluminium chloride for 1, 15, 30, and 60 minutes and 1, 3, and 7 days. Thereafter they were air-dried and burned at high temperature about $1,800^{\circ}C$ and for short time of five minutes. This study estimated the relationship between absorbed chemical amounts and rate of weight loss or residual bending strength of these burned lumbers. The results were as follows: 1) In absorption amount of fire-retardant chemicals, diammonium phosphate showed the largest, aluminium chloride the smallest, but monoammonium phosphate and ammonium sulfate showed similar level. 2) The absorption amount of chemicals was decreased with the increase of specific gravity in the same species except aluminium chloride. 3) The rate of weight loss was decreased as the absorption amount of chemicals increased, especially monoammonium phosphate was most effective. 4) The MOR value of the residual bending strength was increased as the absorption amount of chemicals increased and especially monoammonium phosphate showed the most efficient effect. 5) Aluminium chloride showed more striking increase of MOR value of residual bending strength with the increase of absorption amount than any other chemical, therefore its MOR value was similar to the maximum MOR value of the most effective monoammonium phosphate. 6) The correlation between weight loss and MOR value of the residual bending strength was negative and aluminium chloride showed the most striking negative relation, but the others showed similar trends. 7) The correlation between work to proportional limit and absorption amount of chemicals was positive and the degree of increase in work to proportional limit was most in aluminium chloride, and the next, in monoammonium phosphate and diammonium phosphate in turn. 8) The correlation between work to maximum load and absorption amount of chemicals showed positive and diammonium phosphate revealed the best result and aluminium chloride showed better results than other two chemicals.

  • The history of Korea Qualification system began after the Korea War. The Qualification was recognized to it's value with economic growth until the 2000. But the value of qualifications has to be re-evaluated under the current global environments. Almost Previous research has not to work for the value of qualifications all of Korea. So, This study presents a evaluation structure frame to work and some evaluation factors for the qualification value. In addition, the methodology proposed to obtain results using the AHP weights based on the evaluation methodology and questionnaire. The analysis results are used as a basis for selecting the future policy direction of the national qualification.

  • Optimizing multiple design characteristics which are usually in conflict with each other in the injection molding process is frequently becoming a critical problem for designers who work in this area. The purpose of this work is to develop an automated design methodology for optimizing two such design characteristics found in injection-molded parts. A value function based on decision-making theory is used as a means of evaluating the performance of a two-characteristic design alternative. Also, a design space reduction algorithm based on Taguchi's orthogonal arrays is utilized to discover an optimal design alternative. Verification of the developed design methodology is carried out for an actual model with two design characteristics, the weld line and the gate location, to be optimized in computer simulation experiments.

The Relationship among Social Support, Work-Family Conflict and Work-Family Enrichment of Married Nurses (기혼간호사의 사회적 지지와 일-가정 갈등, 일-가정 향상과의 관계)

  • Purpose: This study is to identify the relationship among married nurses' social support, work-family conflict and work-family enrichment and to examine the influence of social support on work-family conflict and work-family enrichment. Methods: Data were collected from married nurses working at three hospitals with more than 100 beds in J Province and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Pearson's correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 21 program. Findings: In the correlation analysis only social support and work-family enrichment showed positive correlation. As a result of hierarchical multiple regression analysis, social support still acted as a significant influence factor on work-family conflict and work-family enrichment even in the state of considering the effect of control variables. Conclusion: In order to lower work-family conflict and to enhance work-family enrichment of married nurses, it is necessary to introduce and implement welfare policies for work-family reconciliation at the workplace level and at home level it is necessary to provide concrete measures so that married nurses can find the value of life as workers while house working and nurturing.

To whom is social value coaching useful? The effects of social value coaching on meaning of work, job satisfaction, and job crafting: The moderating role of regulatory focus (사회적 가치 코칭은 누구에게 유익한가? 사회적 가치 코칭이 일의 의미와 직무만족, 잡크래프팅에 미치는 영향: 조절초점의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the positive impact that social value coaching has on employees, specifically highlighting the role of regulatory focus. Based on a coaching model, we developed a social value coaching program and applied it to the employees. We investigated whether the experimental group that participated in the social value coaching program would report higher levels of meaning of work, hedonic job satisfaction, eudaimonic job satisfaction, and job crafting compared to the control group, as well as whether regulatory focus would function as a moderator. We only analyzed the moderating role of prevention focus as promotion focus did not show any moderating effects. The results suggest that the experimental group that participated in the social value coaching program reported significant increases in all of the outcome variables compared to the control group. Additionally, for meaning of work, hedonic job satisfaction, and eudaimonic job satisfaction, the effects of the coaching program was stronger for those with a higher level of prevention focus than those with a lower level of it. Based on these results, we discussed the implications and limitations of this research, as well as suggestions for future research.

Developing the New Work Load Unit of Airport Based on the Relative Value of Cargo and Passenger (화물과 여객의 상대적 가치를 기준으로 하는 새로운 공항 처리량단위(WLU) 개발 연구)

  • This study was carried out to suggest new indicators to be used at airports. Generally, passengers and cargo will be handled at the airport, and the airport will achieve revenues through them. However, all airports can not have the same distribution of passenger and cargo throughput. When comparing and analyzing several airports, a uniform result can be expected only if a unit airport throughput indicator is applied. The 'Work Load Unit' is an indicator that integrates passengers and cargo into one, and assumes that the value of one passenger is equivalent to the cargo volume of 100kg. The existing WLU was set up based on the experience at the airport rather than being established through reasonable grounds or analysis, so there was a lot of controversy. The purpose of this study is to overcome these limitations and to suggest new index. In this study, we applied a method to compare the relative value of cargo and passenger to airport revenue. In order to analyze cargo value and passenger value, airport revenues are classified into aircraft operation related revenues, passenger handling related revenues, and commercial revenues. A total of 50 airports were selected, including 14 airports in Asia, 18 airports in Europe and 18 airports in North America. According to the final analysis results, it is concluded that the cargo is equivalent to 280kg of cargo based on the contribution of one passenger averagely. This is higher than the value of 100Kg cargo per passenger.
