  • The value added network service industry has played and important role in the telecommunication service industry and in the economic development of Korea. This study uses input-output analysis to investigate the role of value added network service sector in the Korean national economy for the period 2000, 2005, 2009, focusing on four topics in its application: production inducing effects, value-added inducing effect, employment-inducing effects by demand-driven model and supply shortage effect by supply-driven model, inflation impacts by the Leontief price model, finally analysing inter-industry linkage effects. The results of this study are as follows: production inducing effects analysis 2000 0.5253won to 2009 1.31314won, value-added inducing effects 0.25112won to 0.5337won employment inducing effects from 0.09749 to 0.21025 people grew, the supply shortage effect from 1.29003 to 2.12048won, price impact of Leontief price model was increased from 0.0022% to 0.00258%. Finally, inter-industry linkage effects, appeared to have the characteristics of final demand raw industrial.

  • Social networks can be a powerful force in marketing because they provide new ways to market to young generation. Though many studies on evaluation of customer lifetime value have been conducted, it is not clear how to assess the value of members within social networks. The purpose of this study is to evaluate members based on customer intangible value as well as customer lifetime value. Customer network value in terms of the power and influence within a network is analyzed through network structure analysis. Using Cyworld log file data, this study have shown that high percentage of members are very influential in terms of spreading or withholding information even though their CLV is low. It is expected that the findings of this research contribute to understand the interactive behaviors of members within networks and to provide valuable implications on new product launching and customer management strategies to marketers.

  • Measuring the intangible asset has been vigorously studied for its importance. Especially, the value of character in media industry is difficult to quantitatively evaluate in spite of the industry's rapid growth. Recently, the Social Network Analysis (i.e., SNA) has been actively applied to understand human usage patterns in a media field. By using SNA methodology, this study attempts to investigate how the character network characteristics of media works are linked to human search behaviors. Our analysis reveals the positive correlation and causality between character network centralities and character search data. This result implies that the character network can be used as a clue for the valuation of character assets.

  • In this study, a value framework for ubiquitous computing is developed and presented. Using 'value focused thinking' approach suggested by Keeney, twenty-two potential users of ubiquitous computing were interviewed and 435 statements were obtained from these interviews. Subsequent purification and redundancy removal process reduces these 435 statements into 166 objectives users have in their mind when thinking about ubiquitous computing. These 166 objectives were again simplified into 37 objectives by clustering. Through a focus group interview, these objectives were again classified into a means-ends network diagram by analyzing reciprocal relationships among them. Resulting means-ends network reveals the value framework inherent within the perception of users. This framework will be useful as a reference in developing new business models in ubiquitous computing as well as developing technologies themselves.

  • This research was conducted on 176 GVCs-related research papers listed in the Index of Korean Academic Writers. The analysis methodology used the keyword network analysis methodology of big data analysis. For the comprehensive analysis of research trends, the research trends through word frequency (TF), important topic (TF-IDF), and topical modeling were analyzed in 176 papers. In addition, the research period of GVCs was divided into the early stages of the first study (2003-2014), the second phase of the study (2015-2017), and the third phase of the study (2018-2020). According to the comprehensive analysis, the GVCs research was conducted with the keyword 'value added' as the center, focusing on the keywords of export (trade), Korea, business, influence, and production. Major research topics were 'supporting corporate cooperation and capacity building' and 'comparative advantage with added value of overseas direct investment'. According to the analysis of major period-specific research trends, GVCs were studied in the early stages of the first phase of the study with global value chain trends and corporate production strategies. In the second research propulsion period, research was done in terms of trade value added. In the recent third phase of the study, small and medium-sized enterprises actively participated in the global value chain and actively researched ways to support the government. Through this study, the importance of the global value chain has been confirmed quantitatively and qualitatively, and it is recognized as an important factor to be considered in the strategy of enhancing industrial competitiveness and entering overseas markets. In particular, small and medium-sized companies' participation in the global value chain and support measures are being presented as important research topics in the future.

  • A neural network of multi layer perception type, learned by error back propagation learning rule, is generally used for the verification or clustering of similar type of patterns. When learning is completed, the network has a constant value of output depending on a pattern. This paper shows that the intensity of neuron's out put can be controlled by a function which intensifies the excitatory interconnection coefficients or the inhibitory one between neurons in output layer and those in hidden layer. In this paper the value of factor in the function to control the output is derived from the know values of the neural network after learning is completed And also this paper show that the amount of an increased neuron's output in output layer by arbitary value of the factor is derived. For the applications increased recognition performance of a pattern than has distortion is introduced and the output of partially damaged neurons are first managed and this paper shows that the reduced recognition performance can be recovered.

  • MANET has vulnerable structure on security owing to structural characteristics as follows. MANET consisted of moving nodes is that every nodes have to perform function of router. Every node has to provide reliable routing service in cooperation each other. These properties are caused by expose to various attacks. But, it is difficult that position of environment intrusion detection system is established, information is collected, and particularly attack is detected because of moving of nodes in MANET environment. It is not easy that important profile is constructed also. In this paper, conformal predictor - support vector machine(CP-SVM) based intrusion detection technique was proposed in order to do more accurate and efficient intrusion detection. In this study, IDS-agents calculate p value from collected packet and transmit to cluster head, and then other all cluster head have same value and detect abnormal behavior using the value. Cluster form of hierarchical structure was used to reduce consumption of nodes also. Effectiveness of proposed method was confirmed through experiment.

  • Large business groups typically have central firms through which their controlling families establish (or acquire) new firms and maintain control over other member firms. Research on corporate governance has developed metrics to identify those central firms and investigated an impact of the centrality on ownership structure and firm's financial performance. This paper introduces centrality metrics used in social network analysis (SNA) to measure how crucial a role each firm plays in the ownership structure of its business group. Then, the SNA centrality metrics are compared with the metrics developed in corporate governance field. Also, we test the relationship between the SNA centrality metrics and firm's value. Experimental results show that the SNA centrality metrics are closely correlated with the centrality metrics used in corporate governance and are significantly correlated with firm's value.

  • Climate changes from global warming and reduction in agricultural land result in volatility of prices of agricultural products, causing a imbalance of food market in Korea. It is necessary to develop a transnational food industry cooperation system among Korea, China and Russia that directly or indirectly affect food industry in terms of the whole industrial network. This study analyzes the value chain and linkage in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries in three nations. The unit structure and the industrial patterns of three nations were derived using the World Input-output Table (WIOT) from 2004 to 2014 every five years. This paper is expected to contribute to develop food security cooperation in the northern part of the Korean peninsula and to promote the mutual growth of food industry through industry linkage and cooperation.
