  • This paper studied on the VVVF Inverter for 1C4M propulsion system of railway traction. The paper includes the comparison along a VVVF Inverter electric power conversion element for an electric railcar(GTO, IGBT). These inverters are composed of high power IGBTs and controlled by compact control units. The stack is simplified and optimized by using plate bus and IGBT driver units of hybrid-type.

  • This paper describes about the field test of IGBT VVVF inverter for the propulsion system. The 1650kV class IGBT VVVF inverter has been developed. Therefore the field test is performed in SMG 6 Line to confirm its the reliability and performance. The train consists of 4M4T and the electrical equipment for field test are as follows : VVVF inverter 4 sets 16 traction motors and 3 SIVs The propulsion system which have the excellent acceleration/deceleration and the jerk chracteristics as well as starting ability on slope are taken through the field test.

  • The variable-frequency type water supply equipment, which adopts the variable-voltage and variable-frequency converter(VVVF converter) to govern automatically the rotating speed of a pump, can save 15-20% of power, as compared with a throttle-controlled pump device or an airpressurized water supply equipment, and is finding a wide application. However, it still has some disadvantages : greater pressure fluctuations during switching over the pump and prolonged low-effeciency running of the pump in the case of small consumption of water. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the equipment to the fire water supply system where the water should not be put into use unless a fire takes place, and the water pressure in pipelines should permanently remain constant. This paper introduces the automatic regulation principle of the variable-frequency type air-pressurized water supply equipment (hereafter referred to as simply BFQS equipment) for dual purposes of daily life and fire control, which combined both technologies of speed governing by a converter and air-pressurized water supplying, then discusses some problems related to automatic control, and finally gives the experimental results of an embodiment-BPQS-100-50 water supply equipment.

  • 본 논문은 전동차용 추진장치인 IGBT VVVF 인버터의 현차시험에 관한 것이다. IGBT VVVF인버터는 1,650kVA급으로 개발되었다. 추진 인버터의 신뢰성과 성능을 확인하기 위하여 서울시 지하철 6호선에서 본선시험을 하였다. 시험 차량구성은 4M4T로 구성되었으며, 전장품은 4대의 VVVF인버터, 16대의 견인전동기 및 2대의 SIV로 구성하였다. 추진장치는 1C4M으로 구성하였다. 현차시험을 통하여 추진용 인버터의 우수한 가·감속 능력과 가가속도 특성 및 구배에서의 등판능력을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • This paper proposes a voltage-fed high frequency resonant inverter having variable voltage variable frequency(VVVF) control function. VVVF control is performed by PWM-TRC method in the boost type chopper and PFM-TRC method in the high frequency resonant inverter. This circuit is suitable for induction heating and melting power supply in industry. The operating characteristics of this inverter are discussed from a theoretical point of view. The results of operating characteristic analyses are given leading to complete designing data.

  • In this paper, it introduces a several circuit type of current-fed Full Bridge high frequence inverter with VVVF function.   • In this paper, we present IGBT VVVF inverters as a 1C1M propulsion system for electric car. These inverters are composed of high power IGBT's and controlled by compact control units. The control unit performs full digital control by using 32bit DSP and microcontroller. By using CAN-bus, high speed network is constructed within four control units. The stack is simplified and optimized by using plate bus and IGBT driver units of hybrid-type.

  • This paper describes the full load test results of IGBT VVVF inverter for the railway propulsion system. The 1,650kVA IGBT VVVF inverter has been developed. Therefore, the field test is performed in SMG 6 Line to confirm its the reliability and performance. The train consists of 4M4T(4 Motor car 4 Trailer Car) and the electrical equipment for field test are as follows VVVF inverter 4 sets, 16 traction motors and 2 SIVs. The propulsion system is composed with IC4M(1-Controller 4-Motors). The results of propulsion system which have the excellent acceleration/deceleration and the jerk characteristics as well as starting ability on slope are taken through the field test.

  • 고속전철용 충전기는 VVVF, CVCF, DC/DC 컨버터에 전원을 공급하고 안정성과 시스템의 신뢰성을 목적으로 하는 중요한 에너지원이다. 본 논문에서는 밧데리 충전 알고리즘과 고속전철용 ZVZCS형 밧데리 충전기의 전력회로를 포함한다. 또한 고속전철용 50kW 충전기의 최적 병렬운전과 Ni-Cd 밧데리의 충전 방법을 설명하고 실험을 통해 타당성을 입증한다.

  • This paper describes characteristic analysis of VVVf type high-frequency considering dead time. Static power conversion are now used in a great variety of application including induction heating, high-frequency generation, DC/DC power converter, etc. In the circuit analysis, an offer circuit was compared with safety operating region and steady state characteristics considering dead time.
