IPM 스위칭 소자를 적용한 AC 전동차 추진제어장치 (Converter/Inverter) 개발 (Development of AC Electric Vehicle Propulsion System (Converter/Inverter) using IPM Switching Device)

  • In this paper, AC electric vehicle propulsion system(Converter/Inverter) using high power semiconductor, UM(Intelligent Power module) is proposed. 2-Parallel operation of two PWM converter is adopted for increasing capacity of system and the VVVF inverter control is used a mixed control algorithm, where the vector control strategy at low speed region and slip-frequency control strategy at high speed region. The proposed propulsion system is verified by experimental results with a 1,350kW converter and 1,100kVA inverter with four 210kW traction motors.

  • The control method of programmable dynamometer for overall test of machine is to load reference torque which is computed from torque transducer into motor under test. But the torque information detected from torque transducer have a lot of noise when the load torque of moter is a small quantity or changing. Thus, torque transducer must have a low pass filter to detect a definite torque information. But The torque delay generated by filter with torque transducer occur a torque trouble for moter torque of programmable dynamometer. Therefore, this kind of system could not perform dynamic and nonlinear load. In this paper, the control method using the load torque observer without a measure for torque transducer is proposed. The proposed system improved the problem of the torque measuring delay with torque transducer, and the load torque is estimated by the minimal order state observer based on the torque component of the vector control induction moter. Therefore, the torque controller is not affected by a load torque disturbance.

  • Among various Power converters, a variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) three-phase PWM inverter is regarded as most promising power converter due to its capabilities, which permits the control of voltage, frequency and harmonic contents in a single power stage employing only on DC source. As a modulating technique of the PWM inverter, the regular sampling technique has rendered possible the on-line computation and generation of PWM control waveforms with a reasonably high switching frequencies. In this paper, microprocessor based three-phase regular samping PWM inverter with real-time control algorithm and control circuits for driving three phase AC motor has been developed. Harmocic components of PWM waveform were analized theoretically in terms of Bessel function series and then calculated by digital computer and observed with spectrum analyzer.

  • In this paper, Development of propulsion system using IPM(Intelligent Power Module) for DC electric vehicle is proposed. Designed propulsion system is comprised of inverter stack which includes 6 IPM, BCH(Breaking Chopper) unit, FC(Filter Capacitor), Control unit. IPM can compose propulsion system simple by including gate drive circuit and protection circuit. Inverter stack is designed as a simple structure using IPM and non clamp capacitor. VVVF Inverter control is used the vector control strategy at low velocity region and slip frequency-control strategy at high velocity region. Designed propulsion system proves the performance through test and revenue service.

  • 현재 한국철도공사에서 운행하는 철도차량은 KTX, 새마을호동차(PP), 선행전기기관차 (NEL), 전기기관차 (EL), 디첼기관차, 도시통근형동차(CDC), VVVF, 저항제어차 등 8 여종에 이르고, 현재는 150km/h 급 간선행전기동차 (Electric Multiple Unit)는 시험운행중이다. 또한 조만간 폐차되는 새마을호동차의 대체차량으로 180km/h 급 간선형전기동차의 도입이 예정되어 있다. 하지만 아직까지 철도차량의 운전실제어대 설계기준이 없고, 제어기기의 배치 및 형식 등에 대해 운전자의 입장에서 인체공학적 접근을 시도한 연구도 전무한 실정이어서 개발되는 차량마다 제어기의 형식 및 조작방식이 상이하다. 이는 운전자의 기기 취급 오류률 유발할 가능성이 매우 크며, 신규차량 도입시 별도의 운전자 교육을 시행해야하는 동 운영 상의 효율성이 매우 떨어진다. 따라서 운전자의 의견수렴을 바탕으로 운전 중 상시 취급하는 제어기기 및 안전설비에 대하여 안전공학 및 인체공학적 설계기준을 마련하여 운전자로 하여금 기기취급에 정확성을 높이고, 이례적인 상황에서 보다 더 신속한 대처를 할 수 있도록 하여 철도차량 안전성과 운영상의 효율성을 증진하고자 한다.

  • This paper describes the characteristic feather of propulsion system adopting mass production. The train formation is composed of 4 cars by 2 Motor cars and 2 Train cars. Acceleration rate must be 3.0 km/h/s or more when the car starts up to 35km/h by 16ton of passenger load. The system information supervision is easy because the system is controlled to perfect digital circuits, all information of an action is stored in a memory and is managed. The control system is composed of a fully digital circuit and a high level software such as C language. The DSP TMS320C31 is used for main processor and has the capability of 50MHz, 32bit floating point operation and has a C compiler. Therefore, the implementation of control algorithm and the change of function are easy. VVVF inverter using IGBT conducted variable combined test, environment test using chamber, interface test and field test etc.

  • The battery charger for high speed trail car is very important power source for the purpose of safty and system stability. it provides control power of VVVF, CVCF, DC/DC converter and inverter for traction motor. This paper included power circuit of the ZVZCS type battery charger for high speed trail car and battery included power circuit of the ZVZCS type battery charger for high speed trail car and inverter for traction motor. This paper included power circuit of the ZVZCS type battery charger for high speed trail car an battery charging algorithm. Also the optimum parallel operation of 50Kw battery charger for high speed trail car and charging control method of Ni-Cd battery illustrates validity and effectiveness through the experiments.

  • This paper presents a propulsion control system for electric car to improve traction capability. The presented VVVF inverter was composed of as IGBT and the controller was full digitalized by using 32bit DSP. The improved PWM algorithms was adapted to improve traction characteristics. The system could be possible the higher reliablity, compact, light, low cost' and flexbility.

  • The SLIM used in the conveyance system has been generally developed the controller based on the slip frequency control and the VVVF method to obtain the quick response for the position control signal. This paper deals with the trust control of the SLIM by vector control with Bang-Bang condition. Also, the control system is composed of the PI controller for soft start of the SLIM and the q-axis current controller for correction in phase with Space Vector for reducing the harmonic pulsation in low speed. The processing for vector control and robust dynamic breaking control is carried out by MC80196KC micro processor and IGBT module. The proposed scheme is verified through the computer simulation and experiments for the 10KW SLIM.
