A Study on Speaker Normalization using VTN (VTN을 이용한 화자 정규화에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 화자에 따라 서로 다른 성도의 길이에 의해 발생하는 음성인식 시스템의 성능 저하를 줄이기 위하여, VTN(Vocal Tract Normalization)을 음성인식 시스템에 적용하고, 주소 인식 실험을 통하여 인식 성능을 평가하였다. 또, VTN을 CMN과 동시에 적용하여 인식 실험을 하였다. 실험에서는 화자간 성도길이의 차이를 반영하기 위하여 13개의 Warping 계수에 대해 필터 뱅크를 이용한 선형 Warping 방법을 적용하였다. 실험결과, Baseline 인식 시스템에 비하여 VTN을 적용하면, WER(Word Error Rate)이 1.24% 감소하였고, CMN과 VTN을 동시에 적용한 실험에서는 Baseline 인식 시스템과 비교하여 WER이 0.33% 감소 하였지만 VTN을 적용한 실험결과와 비교하면 오히려 0.91% 증가하였다.

  • Technology to optimize and utilize the use and supply of the electric power between consumer and supplier has been on the rise among the smart grid power market network in electric power demand management based on the Internet. Open Automated Demand Response system protocol, which can deliver Demand Response needed in electric power demand management to electricity supplier, system supplier and even the user is openADR 2.0b. This paper used the most credible, cosmopolitanly proliferated EPRI open source and analysed the variety of security vulnerability that developed VEN and VTN system may have. Using the simulator for attacking openADR protocol, the VEN/VTN system that has been implemented as EPRI open source was conducted to attack in a variety of ways. As a result of the analysis, we were able to get the results that the VEN/VTN system has security vulnerabilities to the parameter tampering attacks and service flow falsification attack. In conclusion, if you want to implement the openADR2.0b protocol system in the open or two-way communication environment smart grid network, considering a variety of security vulnerability should be sure to seek security technology and services.

A New Power Spectrum Warping Approach to Speaker Warping (화자 정규화를 위한 새로운 파워 스펙트럼 Warping 방법)

  • The method of speaker normalization has been known as the successful method for improving the accuracy of speech recognition at speaker independent speech recognition system. A frequency warping approach is widely used method based on maximum likelihood for speaker normalization. This paper propose a new power spectrum warping approach to making improvement of speaker normalization better than a frequency warping. Th power spectrum warping uses Mel-frequency cepstrum analysis(MFCC) and is a simple mechanism to performing speaker normalization by modifying the power spectrum of Mel filter bank in MFCC. Also, this paper propose the hybrid VTN combined the Power spectrum warping and a frequency warping. Experiment of this paper did a comparative analysis about the recognition performance of the SKKU PBW DB applied each speaker normalization approach on baseline system. The experiment results have shown that a frequency warping is 2.06%, the power spectrum is 3.06%, and hybrid VTN is 4.07% word error rate reduction as of word recognition performance of baseline system.

Development of Automated Demand Response Platform Using Open Source Code (오픈소스를 활용한 지능형 수요반응 플랫폼 개발)

  • With the shift of the energy paradigm from supply side management to demand side management, demand resource management and demand response plays an important role in the energy industry. As a consequency, a lot of researches have been done to provide a suitable demand response system. However, most of the demand response systems are based on the propriety products that cannot be modified. In this paper, we are proposing an automated demand response system using an EnerNOC provided open source code. We implemented the demand response server (VTN) and demand response client (VEN), and validated the OpenADR2.0 compliances using the open source code. We also used an Arduino microcontoller to demonstrate the communication schemes to control various devices.

  • OpenADR is a national standard communication protocol of demand response service. OpenADR uses XML message, called a payload, to support logical transaction of demand response service. For this purpose, OpenADR defines a XML element as transaction identifier which is called requestID. Unfortunately, OpenADR 2.0b profile specification describes some information about requestID but, it is not enough for understanding properly. Ambiguous definition of payload transaction makes vulnerabilities of implementing VEN & VTN and confuses mapping OpenADR 2.0b protocol into other smart grid protocols. Therefore, this paper redefines payload transaction to solve an ambiguous information of OpenADR 2.0b profile specification, proposes a model of analyzing payload transaction, and shows how to detect a payload transaction vulnerability in real-world.

A study on exposed aggrigate P.C. in field plant cast - case study for core building, VOTRAKON project - (골재노출 P.C제품의 현지생산에 관한 소고 -보트라콘 프로젝트의 코아빌딩을 중심으로-)

  • These brief studies and reports of the use of exposed aggrigate precast concrete in practice are combined with a description of some notable co-ordination such as shop drawing, manufacturing and erection in the field construction. Above mentioned exposed aggrigate P. C. means architectural P. C. which was used to the VOTRAKON site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fabricated P. C. on the site without autoclaving and steam curing plant had been successfully carried out on this project-core building, conference room and others. The project designed by HOPE/VTN international INC. which is located in San Diego, California U.S.A. stands for vocational training and related support facilities contract. We had to submit shop drawings showing complete information for fabrication and installation of P. C. unit reinforcement. Also we should be indicated member dimension and cross section, location size and type of necessary for erection. We can delineate the following characteristic results. One of the most important things how to handle exposed aggrigate P.C. unit as specified was quality assurance and co-ordination for shop drawing, manufacturing and erection.

Smart meter data transmission device and power IT system using LTE and IoT technologies (LTE와 IoT 기술을 이용한 스마트미터 데이터 전송장치와 전력 IT 시스템)

  • A Smart Grid is a system that can efficiently use energy by exchanging real-time information in both directions between a consumer and a power supplier using ICT technology on an existing power network. DR(Demand response) is an arrangement in which electricity users can sell the electricity they save to the electricity market when the price of electricity is high or the power system is crisis. In this study, we developed a power meter data transmission device and power IT system that measure the demand information in real-time using a smart meter and transmit it to a cloud server. The power meter data transmission device developed in this study uses alight sensor connected to a Raspberry Pi 3 to measure the number of blinking lamps on the KEPCO meter per unit of power, in order to provide reliable data without any measurement errors with respect to the KEPCO power data. The power measurement data transmission device uses the standard communication protocol, OpenADR 2.0b. The measured data is transmitted to the power IT system, which consists of the VEN, VTN, and calculation program, via the LTE WiFi communication network and stored in its MySQL DB. The developed power measurement data transmission device issues a power supply instruction and performs a peak reduction DR when a power system crisis occurs. The developed power meter data transmission device has the advantage of allowing the user to adjust it every 1 minute, where as the existing smart metering time is fixed at once every 15 minutes.

A study of electrical characteristic of MOSFET device (고에너지 이온주입에 따른 격자 결함 발생 및 거동에 관한 열처리 최적화방안에 관한 연구)

  • 고에너지 이온주입(1)에 기인한 격자 손상 발생 및 열처리에 따라 이들의 회복이 어느정도 가능한지에 대하여 측정 및 분석방법을 통하여 조사하였다. 그리고 본 실험에서는 이온주입시 형성되는 빈자리 결함(Vacancy defect)과 격자간 결함(interstitial defect)의 재결할(recombination)을 이용 점결합(point defect)를 감소 시킬 수 있는 effective RTA조건을 설정하여 well 특성을 개선하고자 하였다. 8inch p-type Si(100)기판에 pad oxide 100A을 형성한 후 NMOS 형성하기 위해 vtn${\sim}$p-well과 PMOS 형성을 위해 vtp$\sim$n-well을 이온주입 하였다. Mev damage anneal은 RTA(2)(Rapid Thermal Anneal)로 $1000\sim1150C$ 온도에서 $15\sim60$초간 spilt 하여 실험후 suprem-4 simulation data를 이용하여 실제 SIMS측정 분석결과를 비교하였으며 이온주입에 의해 발생된 격자손상이 열처리후 damage 정도를 알아보기 위해 T.W(Therma-Wave)을 이용하였으며 열처리후 면저항값은 4-point probe를 사용하였다. 이온주입후 열처리 전,후에 따른 불순물 분포를 SIMS(Secondary ion Mass Spectrometry)를 이용하여 살펴보았다. SIMS 결과로는 열처리 온도 및 시간의 증가에 따라서 dopant확산 및 활성화는 큰차이는 보이지 않고 오히려 감소하는 경향을 볼 수 있으며 또한 접합깊이와 농도가 약간 낮아지는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 결점(defect)을 감소시키기 위해서 diffusivity가 빠른 임계온도영역($1150^{\circ}C$-60sec)에서 RTA를 실시하여 dopant확산을 억제하고 점결점(point defect)의 재결합(recombination)을 이용하여 전위 (dislocation)밀도를 감소시켜 이온주입 Damage 및 면저항을 감소 시켰다. 이와 같은 특성을 process simulation(3)(silvaco)을 통하여 비교검토 하였다.

Estimating genetic diversity and population structure of 22 chicken breeds in Asia using microsatellite markers

  • Objective: Estimating the genetic diversity and structures, both within and among chicken breeds, is critical for the identification and conservation of valuable genetic resources. In chickens, microsatellite (MS) marker polymorphisms have previously been widely used to evaluate these distinctions. Our objective was to analyze the genetic diversity and relationships among 22 chicken breeds in Asia based on allelic frequencies. Methods: We used 469 genomic DNA samples from 22 chicken breeds from eight Asian countries (South Korea, KNG, KNB, KNR, KNW, KNY, KNO; Laos, LYO, LCH, LBB, LOU; Indonesia, INK, INS, ING; Vietnam, VTN, VNH; Mongolia, MGN; Kyrgyzstan, KGPS; Nepal, NPS; Sri Lanka, SBC) and three imported breeds (RIR, Rhode Island Red; WLG, White Leghorn; CON, Cornish). Their genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationships were analyzed using 20 MS markers. Results: In total, 193 alleles were observed across all 20 MS markers, and the number of alleles ranged from 3 (MCW0103) to 20 (LEI0192) with a mean of 9.7 overall. The NPS breed had the highest expected heterozygosity (Hexp, 0.718±0.027) and polymorphism information content (PIC, 0.663±0.030). Additionally, the observed heterozygosity (Hobs) was highest in LCH (0.690±0.039), whereas WLG showed the lowest Hexp (0.372±0.055), Hobs (0.384±0.019), and PIC (0.325±0.049). Nei's DA genetic distance was the closest between VTN and VNH (0.086), and farthest between KNG and MGN (0.503). Principal coordinate analysis showed similar results to the phylogenetic analysis, and three axes explained 56.2% of the variance (axis 1, 19.17%; 2, 18.92%; 3, 18.11%). STRUCTURE analysis revealed that the 22 chicken breeds should be divided into 20 clusters, based on the highest ΔK value (46.92). Conclusion: This study provides a basis for future genetic variation studies and the development of conservation strategies for 22 chicken breeds in Asia.
