The purpose of this paper is to develop simulations that can be used for virtual education in dentistry. This development goal is to allow dental students to learn the necessary surgical techniques at the point of their choice, not going into the operating room, away from time, space, and physical limits. In this paper configuration, the optimization method is applied convergent, and when the operation of the VR contents is performed, the content data is extracted from the interaction analysis formed in the VR engine, and the data is processed by the content algorithm. It also computes events and dental operations generated within the 3D engine programming and generates corresponding events through data processing according to the input signal. The visualization information is output to the HMD using the rendering information. In addition, the operating room environment was constructed by studying lighting and material for actual operating room environment. We applied the ratio of actual space to virtual space and the ratio between character and actual person to create a spatial composition at a similar rate to actual space.

The displays and the interactive interfaces are important factors to enhance immersion in the VR experience pavilion. In the VR experience pavilion displaying 3D Virtual environment, it is difficult to have multi-display with single viewpoint because of the field of view. Also it costs a lot to construct a large size display. The interaction device between user and VR environment necessary to immersion has used mainly the touchscreens with the restricted display area or the button-based input devices so far. In this paper, we suggest a method for constructing extensible multi-display which are showing VR environment in realtime and a method for interaction using a ZA Sensor which is wireless and guarantees the user's unrestricted movement. The proposed method can make a VR experience pavilion more immersive at less cost.
Virtual reality (VR) provides an immersive and interactive 3-dimensional system, which allows an individual to become immersed in a computer-generated situation. VR technology has been administered in the exposure-based treatment of a variety of psychiatric disorders, including acrophobia, fear of flight, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Furthermore, VR systems have also been developed for the use of research and treatment in addiction. They might have advantages in cue exposure therapy, by increasing the salience of cues, as well as assessments of cue reactivity in addiction. This article summarizes the application of VR in the field of psychiatry. More importantly, it suggests the possibilities of clinical use of VR technology, in the treatment of addiction.

The purpose of this paper is to develop simulations that can be used for virtual education in dentistry. The virtual education to be developed will be developed with clinical training and actual case data of tooth extraction. This development goal is to allow dental students to learn the necessary surgical techniques at the point of their choice, not going into the operating room, away from time, space, and physical limits. I want to develop content using VR. Oculus Rift HMD, Optical Based Outside-in Tracking System, Oculus Touch Motion Controller, and Headset as Input / Output Device. In this configuration, the optimization method is applied convergent, and when the operation of the VR contents is performed, the content data is extracted from the interaction analysis formed in the VR engine, and the data is processed by the content algorithm. A walking navigation system (usually known as a locomotion interface) is an interactive platform which gives simulated walking sensation to users using sensed bipedal motion signals. This enables us to perform navigation tasks using only bipedal movement. Especially, it is useful for the certain VR task which emphasizes on physical human movement, or accompanies understanding of the size and complexity of building structures. In this work, we described system components of VR walking system and investigated several types of walking platform by literature survey. We adopted a MS Kinect depth sensor for the motion recognition and a treadmill which includes directional turning mechanism for the walking platform. Through the integration of these components with a VR navigation scenario, we developed a simple VR walking navigation system. Finally several technical issues were found during development process, and further research directions were suggested for the system improvement.

In this paper, we present a VR-based interface method which provides users more natural, realistic, and interactive communication and collaboration tool. Since most services in the communication systems matches with the services in the real world, the best understanding would be achieved when the communication services are represented in accordance with the services in the real world. However, conventional text-based interface and 2D GUI cannot provide such reality to the users. In this paper, we discuss VR-based interface to overcome such difficulty and introduce one instance of communication system using the VR-based realistic, what we call Virtual Village, which we are currently developing. This application might be applied to education in virtual space, desktop conferencing system, and entertainment such as MUD or the games in the distributed environment, etc.
A VR-Tangible Interaction therapy system for autistic children has been designed and implemented. The purpose of this system is to provide a virtual interactive experience for autistic children to check their performances in various tasks and to provide them with the effect of a medical treatment. An interdisciplinary study was deployed by a group of designers, doctors, psychologists and engineers. 14 interaction scenarios were designed and developed. Scenarios include such tasks as to guess a person's feeling by watching his facial expressions, to choose what a person is gazing at, and to pop virtual balloons with a stick. A prototype system was developed and a pilot study made with 11 autistic children. The test showed that autistic children easily understood and enjoyed the virtual environment, and promising theraphy results were also found.

The Petroglyph is a drawing on the rock which reflects the art, religion, myth, and life style of prehistoric society. Recently lots of researches have been studied to develop the contents applying the petroglyphs in the fields of exhibition, education, entertainment, and commercial. This research aims to find some possible VR contents based on the petroglyphs text. The review on the Ulsan petroglyph museum which is the first and the only petroglyph museum in Korea was the first step. Some limitation and problems were found in the current contents which could be overcome by using VR technology. The next step was the overall review of VR system and devices, and then I analyzed five cases of VR contents which specifically applied to the cultural heritages. Based on the analysis of case studies I propose some possible VR contents more immersive and interactive covered with whole range of petroglyphs context, environmental, social, cultural, technical and artistic.

The sense of touch by natural wind is one of the most common feels that every person experiences in daily life. However, it has been rarely studied how natural wind can be reproduced in a VR environment and whether the multisensory contents equipped with artificial winds do improve human emotion or not. To address these issues, we first propose a wind reproduction VR system guided by video and wind capture data and also study the effect of the system on positive affect. We collected wind direction and speed data together with a 360-degree video on a yacht. These pieces of data were used to produce a multisensory VR environment by our wind reproduction VR system. 19 college students participated in the experiments, where the Korean version of Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (K-PANAS) was introduced to measure their emotions. Through the K-PANAS, we found that 'inspired' and 'active' emotions increase significantly after experiencing the yacht VR contents with artificial wind. Our experimental results also show that another emotion, 'interested', is most notably affected depending on the presence of the wind. The presented system can be effectively used in various VR applications such as interactive media and experiential contents.
