This study aimed to address whether the varying degree of screen speed in the context of a Virtual reality exergame will interact with users' intrinsic motivation in influencing user perceptions. Results from our experiment (N = 40), showed that screen speed and intrinsic motivation have significantly interacted in influencing players' feeling of flow, attitude, and intention to replay the game (i.e., the 7km/h and 9km/h speeds have induced more favorable user perceptions than the 5km/h speed). Further implications of the findings are discussed.

Humans have often been used gesture to communicate with each other. The communication between computer and person was also not different. To interact with a computer, we command with gesture, keyboard, mouse and extra devices. Especially, the gesture is very useful in many environments such as gaming and VR(Virtual Reality), which requires high specification and rendering time. In this paper, we propose a gesture recognition method based on CNN model to apply to gaming and real-time applications. Deep learning for gesture recognition is processed in a separated server and the preprocessing for data acquisition is done a client PC. The experimental results show that the proposed method is in accuracy higher than the conventional method in game environment.
Based on deep learning technology, speech recognition method has began to be applied to commercial products, but it is still difficult to be used in the area of VR contents, since there is no easy and efficient way to process the recognized text after the speech recognition module. In this paper, we propose a Korean Language Command System, which can efficiently recognize and respond to Korean speech commands. The system consists of two components. One is a morphological analyzer to analyze sentence morphemes and the other is a retrieval based model which is usually used to develop a chatbot system. Experimental results shows that the proposed system requires only 16% commands to achieve the same level of performance when compared with the conventional string comparison method. Furthermore, when working with Google Cloud Speech module, it revealed 60.1% of success rate. Experimental results show that the proposed system is more efficient than the conventional string comparison method.

Recentely, the military needs to apply various technologies for the improvement of teamwork. The government should take the non-face-to-face system due to the social interest of young military members. In this study we investigated collective cohesion by helping soldiers who have difficulty expressing their feelings and delivering messages while living in groups, or who are unable to adapt to group life due to psychological disorders such as relationship anxiety. We proposed the Multi-perspective Relationship Experience program as a new VR application. We showed feeling a sense of reality equivalent to the actual situation, interpersonal tension and social distance were significantly reduced, and communication, which was difficult to actually do, was naturally achieved. In addition, positive effects were confirmed on the sense of belonging and leadership among all participants. We will be effectively used in manpower management policies that improve the collective cohesion of soldiers and support the adaptability of the military environment in line with the rapidly changing social interaction method.
This study evaluate user feedback such as physiological response and facial expression when subjects play a social decision making game with interactive virtual agent partners. In the social decision making game, subjects will invest some of money or credit in one of projects. Their partners (virtual agents) will also invest in one of the projects. They will interact with different kinds of virtual agents which behave reciprocated or unreciprocated behavior while expressing socially affective facial expression. The total money or credit which the subject earns is contingent on partner's choice. From this study, I observed that subject's appraisal of interaction with cooperative/uncooperative (or friendly/unfriendly) virtual agents in an investment game result in increased autonomic and somatic response, and that these responses were observed by physiological signal and facial expression in real time. For assessing user feedback, Photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, Galvanic skin response (GSR) sensor while capturing front facial image of the subject from web camera were used. After all trials, subjects asked to answer to questions associated with evaluation how much these interaction with virtual agents affect to their appraisals.

A tangible sports game is an exercise game that uses sensors or cameras to track the user's body movements and to feel a sense of reality. Recently, VR indoor sports room systems installed to utilize tangible sports game for physical activity in schools. However, these systems primarily use screen-touch user interaction. In this research, we developed a V-Catch Vision system that uses AI image recognition technology to enable tracking of user movements in three-dimensional space rather than two-dimensional wall touch interaction. We also conducted a usability evaluation experiment to investigate the exercise effects of this system. We tried to evaluate quantitative exercise effects by measuring blood oxygen saturation level, the real-time ECG heart rate variability, and user body movement and angle change of Kinect skeleton. The experiment result showed that there was a statistically significant increase in heart rate and an increase in the amount of body movement when using the V-Catch Vision system. In the subjective evaluation, most subjects found the exercise using this system fun and satisfactory.
The effects of two different types of haptic feedback(one-hand versus two-hand haptic feedback) on interactivity and body ownership were investigated in the virtual reality setting through an experiment. Using within-subject design, participants performed the task of hitting and destroying a ball-shaped object in virtual reality for both, one-hand and two-hand haptic feedback conditions. The results showed that participants tended to report a higher level of interactivity when using two-hand haptic feedback, whereas there was no difference between the two conditions in a sense of body ownership.

Rhyme of Truce is an educational program that helps you develop the ability to cope with cyber violence rightly. we aim to produce educational contents that will last a long time in the memory of specially children. By combining the room escape game and Leap motion / VR, the program reflects the user's motion and action in real time. The Keyboard Worrier comes into contact with the user and causes violence, and the user who is attacked by the monster see several negative messages written in red and hears abuses sound. Users enter the virtual space decorated as the cyber world. They can experience cyber-violence indirectly but vividly, and if language violence, which has been overlooked and recognized only as "letters", is executed offline, it will directly wonder if cyber-violence should also be regarded as a means of violence. Users have the opportunity to cope with violence autonomously. When a user is attacked by an in-game monster, there are two ways to choose from. First, fighting against with a keyboard (which is a symbol of language violence) just like a monster. Second, report the abuser to cyber bureau police. Both methods make them to escape the room, but when they get out of the room and return to the home and read the message through the monitor, users can recognize which action was right for.
