With the beginning of foreign workers' immigration since 1990, Korea has faced multi-cultural society. At the same time, the number of female marriage immigrants have constantly increased. But the social services for immigrants are not yet prepared. According to the research on the actual condition of immigrants' culture enjoyment, which was done by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea, the most preferable leisure activity of immigrants is 'sightseeing'. So this study focused on improvement of web contents of tourism information to satisfy the information needs of immigrants. Concretely, this study analysed the present condition of the existing tourism web contents, and analysed deeply the web site 'Tourism Busan' for special reference. Especially this study tried to analyse VOD images among web contents of 'Tourism Busan', and provided concrete improvement plan for that. And also this study processed interview with marriage immigrants to provide web site evaluation at the level of immigrants' eyes. As a result of evaluation, immigrants was the most dissatisfied with 'contents quality', and showed lower dissatisfaction at 'service quality', 'interface quality' factors.

In this paper, we apply the next generation Internet Broadcasting Move Picture solution, FlashVideo has been designed and implemented. Currently being broadcast in the field to compress HD video in real time, as well as live Internet VOD services are available through the online system, the Internet LIVE broadcast and VOD service easy to operate and UCC services that support the solution. VOD video cameras and in real time using H264 CORECODEC to compress MPEC4, WMV, and real-time video streaming on the Internet, and phone system that supports the first, real-time recording of camera images featured nation's first real-time encoder system (Real time encoder system) is, Web and smart environment suitable for supporting the latest CORECODEC technology and software products. Second, the video can be played in MP4 player and customize your chat, and customizing is a possible two-way Internet Broadcasting System. Third, CMS (Contents Management System) feature video contents and course management contents in real time via the Android phone and iPhone streaming service is available.

This study examined the importance of independent variables that affect users' preference on the VODs of the newly-released movies by using the conjoint analysis. The results demonstrated that 'price(44.6%)' is the most important variable, which is followed by 'device(24.5%)', 'recency(18.0%)', 'producing country(12.9%)'. Respondents obtained the relatively high utility from watching the VOD of a Korean movie currently on screen in 3,000 wons. A television set was the most preferable device for watching VODs. The traditional windowing strategy in the media content market has been recently challenged by the new trend that the holdback period between market windows is ignored and the high-priced content is found in the second window. Nevertheless, this study demonstrated that users of the VODs of the newly-released movies are still very sensitive to the price and consider 'the recency' to be relatively less important than 'price'.

Multiple CAS (Conditional Access System) could be safely downloaded and implemented in IPTV environment. Domestic standard of iCAS (Interchangeable CAS) which is providing device compatibility and mobility, can only defines CAS replacement for protecting Real-Time Streaming broadcast. CAS, however has limitations in IPTV's two-way communication environment where it needs to fulfill contents protection requirements of various broadcasting service. In order to supplement the limit of CAS, DRM protection technology should be required. Contents for real time broadcasting service or real time VOD service could be protected by CAS technology whereas services such as PVR, download VOD service or downloaded contents sharing could be protected by DRM technology. Therefore, a flexible IPTV device service environment could be constructed by mutual protection of CAS and DRM. This essay is going to research on the method of applying DRM based on iCAS standard, as well as proposing a system configuration applied with iCAS/DRM in commercialization.

This paper is to investigate how types of presenting e-learning contents affect learning. The study examines learning outcome such as students' learning achievement, satisfaction, and perceived learning outcome of a course in liberal arts by three different types: VOD, WBI, and Text. The findings of this study will present the effectiveness of contents presentation type in e-learning. It is anticipated that the study will offer some suggestions to develop e-learning contents types for similar courses and further to develop effective contents types for various courses.

In this paper, on-demand service streaming protocol for user-created contents in digital cable broadcasting environment is considered. In order to provide variety media contents service like UCC in digital cable broadcasting environment, the same service model as RVOD(Real Video on Demand) is required and the different interface for each broadcasting platform is needed in a current OCAP environment. Using return path based RTP, we separate existing VOD stream band into broadcasting and VOD stream band. In order to broaden On-demand service, consistent expansion of the infrastructure same as live broadcasting system is inefficient in the digital cable broadcasting environment. Using existing network protocol, the service which is insensitive to the infrastructure for VOD service becomes possible. Therefore we considered the analysis of the class of download available structure in the Set-Top-Box for RTP(Real-time Transport Protocol) and designing the decoding available streaming server for UCC transcoding and transmission in the receiver. Designing a efficient VOD service and system under the broadcasting environment gives a expansion of On-Demand service and more chance to upload and utilization of contents.

VOD 서버에 서비스를 요청하는 단말장치의 종류가 다양해짐으로 인해 VOD 서비스 사업자가 제공해야 하는 해상도의 종류 역시 다양해지고 있다. 단말장치가 서비스를 요청할 때 서버는 단말장치에 맞는 해상도로 서비스를 제공해야 하는데 대개의 경우 서버의 용량이 제한되어 있기 때문에 비디오별로 모든 해상도를 저장하고 있을 수는 없다. 단말장치가 서버에 저장되어 있는 해상도를 요청한 경우라면 바로 서비스가 가능하다. 하지만 단말장치가 서버에 저장되어 있지 않은 해상도를 요청해 왔다면 저장되어 있던 파일을 이용해 해상도를 변환한 후 서비스를 해주어야 한다. 만약 서버가 해상도를 변환하는 빈도가 높아 CPU 가용률이 충분하지 않다면 다른 단말장치들의 서비스 요청에 바로 응할 수 없게 된다. 따라서 서버에 저장되는 파일들을 CPU 사용률을 줄일 수 있는 해상도의 파일들로 저장하여 CPU 가용률을 높인다면 보다 많은 단말장치의 요청을 허용할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 한정된 저장 용량을 가진 VOD 서버가 단말장치의 서비스 요청들을 최대한 허용하기 위해 저장해야 할 각 비디오의 버전들을 분기한정 기법을 이용하여 찾는 알고리즘을 제시한다.

The mobile market has introduced unprecedented shopping opportunities to customers and is expected to grow rapidly over time. However, little is known about how customers make purchase decisions in the mobile market. The purpose of this study is to investigate the drivers of mobile VOD purchases and to deliver valuable insights to mobile business operators. We focus on the purchase of VOD contents that have to be purchased and consumed using mobile devices and examine how individual-level purchase decisions are determined by three factors: perceived usefulness, usage behavior, and privacy concern. We obtained the panel data from a leading market research company that contains the mobile logs and survey results. Our main results suggest the followings. First, the perceived usefulness affects customers' mobile VOD contents purchases positively whereas the usage behavior exerts no influence on mobile contents purchases. Moreover, the privacy concern lowers the positive effect of perceived usefulness on mobile content purchases; however, it enhances the effect of the usage behavior on mobile contents purchases. These empirical findings indicate that mobile business operators should pay more attention to potential differences in perception and behavior using mobile devices and keep in mind that the privacy concern plays an additional key role in driving mobile contents purchases.
