어선 VHF 통신망 구축 및 운영 방안

  • 2010년 7월 1일부터 5톤 이상의 어선에 VHF(DSC) 무선설비 설치가 의무화됨에 따라 어선의 VHF 통신을 위한 육상통신망 구축이 필요하게 되었다. 또한 어선의 VHF 무선설비 설치에 따라 VHF 통신량이 급증할 것으로 예상되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 어선의 VHF 무선설비 설치 현황 및 문제점, 어선의 VHF 교신을 위한 육상통신망 구축 방안, 어선의 VHF 교신을 위한 통신채널 확보 방안 및 VHF DSC 활용 방안에 대하여 분석하였다.

Design of VHF Antenna for Marin Communication (해상통신용 VHF 안테나 설계)

  • In this paper, a VHF antenna with monopole structure is designed and fabricated for marine wireless communication applications. The proposed antenna is based on a monopole design, and composed of circular ring and meander structure for VHF operation which cover VHF frequency bands. To obtain the optimized parameters, we used the simulator, Ansoft's High Frequency Structure Simulator(HFSS) and found the parameters that greatly effect antenna characteristics. Using the obtained parameters, the antenna is fabricated. The experiment results demonstrated that the proposed antenna satisfied the -10 dB impedance bandwidth requirement while covering the VHF bands. And measured characteristics of gain and radiation patterns are obtained for operating bands.

  • 최근 국제적으로 e-Navigation 구현을 위한 논의가 활발히 이루어지면서 VHF 대역에서 해상 디지털 통신 시스템 도입을 위한 표준 및 권고 개정이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ITU-R M.1842-1기반 디지털 VHF 구축을 위하여 국제적으로 진행되고 있는 디지털 VHF 시스템 구현에 대하여 고찰하고 ITU-R 권고에 입각한 해상 디지털 VHF 구축 방안에 대하여 기술하였다.

  • VTS 항해에 있어서 VHF는 선박에서 단순한 통신장비로서만 기능하는 것이 아니라 중요한 항해계기로서의 기능을 수행하고 있다. 항행정보는 물론 항행의도를 교환하여 항행에 관한 의사결정을 조기에 할 수 있도록 도와주는 일들이 모두 VHF 교신을 통해서 이루어진다. 본 논문에서는 VHF 교신 실패에 따른 사고 위험성을 살펴본 뒤 실제 VHF 사용실태와 그 문제점에 관하여 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 VHF 커뮤니케이션 개선방안은 물론 이를 실현하기 위한 정책방향을 제시하였다.

  • In this paper, I have developed an automatic distress notification system (ADNS) working with an external VHF device in small ship. The proposed system is as part of a small ship disaster analysis system which can detect and quickly respond to the small ship disaster. The automatic notification system receives the location information signal from the disaster analysis system, and the signal will be converted into voice signal to broadcast of the accident position through external VHF device. It will be sending a distress message as form of voice information through VHF device until sinking under the water. Through this research, I expect we'll be make a quick response and prevent a terrible loss of human life.

  • Fishing boats more than 5 tons is obliged to VHF DSC by Fishing Vessels Act and Vessel Safety Act. The owner of the fishing vessel is equipped to the automatic position reporting device in accordance with the Notice of the Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs to regulations, shall be ensure to navigations safety and in order to respond quickly in the event of maritime accidents on fishing vessels. East sea set up to start in 2012, which is now underway the annual install plain to the yellow sea and the south sea for VHF coast stations. It is web-based remote operation of DSC on the remote control and monitoring in Fishery Information Communication Station for the coastal VMS construction project. All fishing vessels is VHF DSC in conjunction with the GPS that location information transmitted to the coast station. automatically by the DSC call. This paper has been studied on the communications coverage set up and traffic operation for realization a roaming service by navigation route tracking and RSSI techniques in parallel algorithm refer to VHF DSC coast stations in east sea.

  • This study analyzed the properties of VHF band and suggested an efficient VHF band application plan for digital radio and UHDTV broadcasting through the experiment by the house T-DMB device in practical user environment. In order to find an efficient frequency band for digital radio broadcasting, this study examined first, to check the times of drop-out receive occurring in the audible area using a DMB/FM CAR Radio for T-DMB that has the characteristics of DAB. Second, this article explored the phenomenon of feedback loops in the same channel using a T-DMB house gap filler transmitting the signal by the same OFDM modulation scheme with UHDTV for configuring suitable SFN transmission network of the UHDTV broadcasting. Based on these experiments, this study suggested a suitable VHF band for digital radio and an efficient utilization of the VHF frequency band for the SFN network configuration of UHDTV.

  • Currently, maritime information service is provided by a variety of equipments such as satellites, radar and VHF devices with independent standards and protocols. However, the increase of vessel traffic and development of global marine industries need an infrastructure providing seamless information transfer for the safety, security and protection of the marine environment. Therefore, we propose features and requirements of future VHF data systems and equipments as a component of e-Navigation.

  • VHF는 선박의 입출항을 위한 정보 제공 교환 및 안전항해에 크게 기여하고 있다고 할 수 있다. 반면에 VHF 통화는 상대방에게 자신의 의사를 제대로 표시하지 못할 경우 더 위급한 상황이 발생할 수 있으며, 규정된 항법에 따라 조기에 피항조치를 취할 시기를 놓칠 수 있다. 이 글은 해양사고 사례를 통해 해양사고 예방을 위한 VHF의 적절한 사용 필요성을 제시하고 있다.

  • A study has designing on the structure of new radio relay for maritime safety communications system with economical and practical useful, that purpose be capable to exceedingly minimum the accident of small ship in sea, that is system. As Receive the urgency frequency from the SSB transceiver in a small fishery that transmit to convert VHF transceiver frequency. Otherwise, the VHF transmitter frequency is converting to the SSB receiver frequency. It has modeling of the bi-directional relay system, that is proposing the methode on the capability to mutual urgency communication between a SSB transceiver ship and VHF transceiver ship by new maritime safety communications system.
