  • 최근 고속 데이터 전송과 멀티미디어 서비스에 대한 요구의 증가로 인한 문제점을 해결하고 서로 다른 서비스별 QoS를 보장 하고자 새로운 방안이 필요하게 되었다. MPLS는 이러한 요구사항에 부응하는 기술로 레이블이라는 짧고 고정된 길이의 식별자를 사용하여 패킷 포워딩을 하는 3계층 스위칭 방법이다. MPLS망에서 Differentiated Service를 지원함으로써 QoS를 보장하며 또한 동일한 서비스를 받는 PHB(Per-Hop Behavior)별로 VC merging을 함으로써 라우터가 관리하는 레이블의 수를 효율적으로 사용하여 망의 확장성을 높일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 ATM기반 MPLS 망에서 Diffserv를 지원하며 트래픽의 QoS에 따른 VC merging과 Non VC merging 기술을 시뮬레이션을 통해 각각 비교 분석하고 VC merging 스케쥴러를 모델링하여 검증하였다.

A Study on BSW Algorithm for WRR Implementation (WRR 구현을 위한 BSW 알고리즘 연구)

  • The Weighted Round Robin(na) discipline which is a sort of scheduling algorithm is quite simple and straightforward for handling multiple queues, and by Putting a different weight on each queue. In this paper, we propose new BSW structure, which can execute the WRR scheduling algorithm efficiently. Also, we develop a cell scheduling algorithm which is adapt in the new BSW structure. The Proposed BSW structure and the algorithm is capable of maintaining an allocated VC's weight correctly and decrease of average cell delay and maximum buffer length by serving other VC cell when empty in each VC queue. The proposed algorithm is a structure suitable for na implementation.

Effects of Feeding Methods (Water vs. Feed) of Vitamin Con Growth Performance and Carcass Characteristics in Broiler Chickens

  • This experiment was conducted to compare the effects of vitamin C supplemented in either feed or water on the performance and carcass characteristics of broilers during the hot season. For a 6 week feeding trial, a total of 330 broiler chicks (Ross, 4 d old, average 57 g BW) were alloted to five treatments. The treatments of vitamin C (VC) supplementation were 1) 0 ppm VC, 2) 10 ppm VC in feed, 3) 20 ppm VC in feed, 4) 5 ppm VC in water and 5) 10 ppm VC in water. During the starter phase (0-3 week), chicks on non-supplemented group grew slower (p<0.01) than the supplemented ones, and a similar trend was also noted during finisher stage and the overall stage. Feed intake was significantly (p<0.05) higher in supplemented groups and higher when fed in feed as compared with water during all stages. But feed conversion efficiency was significantly improved in non-supplemented groups compared to supplemented ones in finisher and overall stage. The digestibility of gross energy and ether extract was significantly (p<0.05) higher during starter phase in supplemented, given in feed, and at higher levels as compared with non-supplemented, given in water, and at lower levels, respectively. The bone resistance was significantly (p<0.05) higher in supplemented, supplied in feed groups as compared with their counterparts. Except breast meat, the dressing percentage and abdominal fat were also higher in supplemented group and the dressing percentage was significantly (p<0.05) higher in VC supplemented in feed as to water, but no effect of supplementation was noticed on meat color when compared between the methods of feeding (feed vs. water). The levels of VC in plasma and liver increased linearly, as the level of supplementation both in feed and water increased and it was significantly (p<0.05) higher in feed group as compared with water group. It can be concluded that, retention and availability of vitamin C in feed was higher than those in water, and supplementation of VC during summer was beneficial for poultry.

  • Surface alloying using TiC, $TiB_2$ and VC ceramic particles on carbon steel has been performed using high voltage electron beam. Each type of ceramic particles was mixed with flux of Al and $MgF_2$ in 1 to 4 ratio. The microstructures of the surface alloyed layers consisted of melted region, interface region. heat affected region and the unaffected matrix. The surface layer of the TiC surface alloyed had a cubed primary and a eutectic type of TiC. $TiB_2$ in surface layer of $TiB_2$ surface alloyed were incompletely melted with$ TiB_2$ particles as observed before the alloying. On the surface layer of the VC surface alloyed, very well defined cell structure was observed with VC on the cell boundary. In addition, ~50 nm in diameter VC particles in high density were ubiquitous in the matrix. Those fine VC particles prominently improved the hardness and wear resistance of the surface layer of the VC surface alloyed.

  • The explosive growth of the internet traffic in the last few years has imposed tremendous stress on today's routers, particularly in the core network. Recently, ATM LSRs(Label Switching Router) are potentially capable of providing the highest forwarding capacity in the backbone Internet network. VC merging is a mechanism in an ATM LSR that allows many IP routes to be mapped to the same VC label, and provides a scalable mapping method that can support thousands of destinations. VC merging requires reassembly buffers so that cells belonging to different packets intended for the same destination do not interleave with each other. In this study, we propose an architecture of the ATM LSR which supports VC merging. We propose traffic control scheme called APD(Active Packet Discard) algorithm so that predicts and controls the congestion of the Internet traffic effectively. We study the performance of this algorithm using simulation.

  • ACE2000 MPLS 시스템은 대용량 ATM 교환 시스템인 ACE2000 ATM 교환시스템에 MPLS 기능을 부가함으로써 사용자들에게 차별화 된 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 시스템이다 MPLS 시스템에서는 채널 사용의 유연성과 채널 자원의 효율적인 사용을 위해 VC 머징 기능을 요구하고 있다. 이를 위해 ACE2000 MPLS 시스템에서는 출력 방향 패킷 처리기에 VC머징 기능을 구현하여 적용하고 있다. 구현된 VC 머징 장치는 고성능 SAR 소자를 이용하였다. VC 머징 장치는 ATM 셀 구조로 입력되고, 입력된 ATM 셀은 고성능 SAR 소자에 의해 AAL-5 유형의 패킷으로 변환되어 VC 머징 제어기로 입력된다. VC 머징 제어기에서는 패킷 입력부로부터 패킷을 받아들여 채널 연결 설정 정보에 따른 VC 머징 기능을 수행하도록 패킷을 처리한다. 이 VC 머징 제어기에서의 패킷 처리 시 스위치 포트의 Full Mesh 연결로 인해 발생되는 채널 자원의 감소 문제를 해결하고, 채널 자원을 증대시키기 위해 2 단계의 룩업 과정을 거치는 패킷 제어 기능을 수행한다. 패킷 제어기에 의해 처리된패킷은 또 하나의 고성능 SAR 소자로 구성되어 있는 패킷 출력부로 전달되어 셀 분할(Segmentation) 과정을 거쳐 ATM 형태로 다음 레이블 스위치 라우터로 전달 되도록 물리층 보드로 전달된다. 본 논문에서는 ATM 교환 시스템을 기반으로 MPLS 시스템에서 채널자원의 증대를 위한 출력방향 패킷 처리장치에 대하여 제안한다.

  • 디지털 비디오 압축 기술은 대역폭과 저장 공간이 제한되는 멀티미디어 데이터의 효율적인 전송과 저장을 가능하게 하는 중요한 역할을 해왔다. 현재 VC-1은 차세대 DVD의 표준으로 채택되어 사용되고 있고 H.264/AVC의 대안으로 제안되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 VC-1의 엔트로피 디코더에 대하여 소프트웨어 검증을 통한 최적화 알고리즘을 사용하여 하드웨어 설계 언어인 VHDL 언어를 이용하여 기술하고 ModeSim6.0a를 이용한 데이터 검증을 수행하였다.

Venture Capital Investment and the Performance of Newly Listed Firms on KOSDAQ (벤처캐피탈 투자에 따른 코스닥 상장기업의 상장실적 및 경영성과 분석)

  • This study analyzes newly listed companies on KOSDAQ from 2011 to 2020 for both firms having experience in attracting venture investment before listing (VI) and those without having experience in attracting venture investment (NVI) by examining differences between two groups (VI and NVI) with respect to both the level of listing performance and that of firm performance (growth) after the listing. This paper conducts descriptive statistics, mean difference, and multiple regression analysis. Independent variables for regression models include VC investment, firm age at the time of listing, firm type, firm location, firm size, the age of VC, the level of expertise of VC, and the level of fitness of VC with investment company. Throughout this paper, results suggest that listing performance and post-listed growth are better for VI than NVI. VC investment shows a negative effect on the listing period and a positive effect on the sales growth rate. Also, the amount of VC investment has negative effects on the listing period and positive effects on the market capitalization at the time of IPO and on sales growth among growth indicators. Our evidence also implies a significantly positive effect on growth after listing for firms which belong to R&D specialized industries. In addition, it is statistically significant for several years that the firm age has a positive effect on the market capitalization growth rate. This shows that market seems to put the utmost importance on a long-term stability of management capability. Finally, among the VC characteristics such as the age of VC, the level of expertise of VC, and the level of fitness of VC with investment company, we point out that a higher market capitalization tends to be observed at the time of IPO when the level of expertise of anchor VC is high. Our paper differs from prior research in that we reexamine the venture ecosystem under the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 which stimulates the degradation of the business environment. In addition, we introduce more effective variables such as VC investment amount when examining the effect of firm type. It enables us to indirectly evaluate the validity of technology exception policy. Although our findings suggest that related policies such as the technology special listing system or the injection of funds into the venture ecosystem are still helpful, those related systems should be updated in a more timely fashion in order to support growth power of firms due to the rapid technological development. Furthermore, industry specialization is essential to achieve regional development, and the growth of the recovery market is also urgent.

  • Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), a newly reported Geminivirus from tomato, generated recently large economic losses in Korea. Development of a fast and precise genetic diagnosis technique for detecting TYLCV which Agricultural research and extension services can utilize easy and handy is very important to prevent yield losses. Virion Capture (VC)/PCR is a simple, accurate and economical genetic detection method without any works or commercial kits for the extraction of the nucleic acid from the infected plants. Primers of twenty two for detection of TYLCV were designed and tested with extracted total DNA or crude sap from tomato leaf infected with TYLCV and healthy plant. Nine primers for total DNA using conventional PCR and another 9 primers for VC/PCR were selected eventually. Primers of six having same specificity were selected from the two methods and tested with other Geminivirus, Tobacco leaf curl virus (TLCV) by VC/PCR. Finally specific primers of four were selected for detection of TYLCV using VC/PCR, and Deng (540, 541), a degenerate primer for Geminivirus reported in 1996, was also developed for VC/PCR.

Mobile M/VC Application Framework Using Observer/Observable Design Pattern (관찰자/피관찰자 설계 패턴을 이용한 모바일 M/VC 응용 프레임워크)

  • Recently, the number of mobile phone and PDA users has been rapidly increased. Such monitoring and control applications as geographical and traffic information systems are being used widely with wireless devices. In this paper, we introduce the mobile M/VC application framework that supports the rapid constructions of mobile monitoring and control (M/VC) applications. The mobile M/VC application framework uses the mobile Observer/Observable pattern that extends the Java's Observer/Observable for automatic interactions of server and client objects in wireless environments. It also provides the Multiplexer and Demultiplexer classes that supports the assembly feature of Observer and Observable objects. To construct an application using the framework, developers just need to create necessary objects from the Observable and MobileObserver classes and inter-connect them structurally(like the plug-and-play style) through the Multiplexer and Demultiplexer objects. Then, the state change of Observable objects is notified to the connected Observer objects and user's input with Observer objects is propagated to Observable objects. These mechanism is the main process for monitoring and control applications. Therefore, the mobile M/VC application framework can improve the productivity of mobile applications and enhance the reusability of such components as Observer and Observable objects in wireless environments.
