Phenotypic and genetic characteristics of Vibrio ichthyoenteri isolated from the olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus of culturing size (미성어 양식 넙치, Paralichthys olivaceus에서 분리한 Vibrio icthyoenteri의 표현형 및 유전형적 특성)

  • From 2002 to 2004, various vibrios were isolated from the olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus of culturing size with disease signs. During this survey, it was known that the high proportion of Vibrio ichthyoenteri was occupied among the isolated vibrios. Generally, V. ichthyoenteri is well known as the pathogen of bacterial enteritis of olive flounder larvae. The aim of the present study was the compare the characteristics of two groups of V. ichthyoenteri, culturing sized olive flounder, and larvae of olive flounder showing the intestinal necrosis. The research was focused on the physiology, biochemistry, genetics in the two bacterial groups. The physiological and biochemical characteristics of the tested strains were very similar. The intergenic spacer (IGS) region between the 16S and 23S rRNA genes of 21 isolated strains and 3 reference strains, V. ichthyoenteri, were investigated by PCR fragment length typing and DNA sequencing. After the isolated strains were identified as V. ichthyoenteri, not only phenotypic characteristics of the isolated and reference strains but also homology of 16S-23S IGS of all isolated strains and reference strains as 99.1~100%. The V. ichthyoenteri showed 4 specific 16S-23S patterns and contained no-tRNA, tRNAGlu(TTC) , tRNAIle(GAT) tRNAAla(TGC) type .

Difference in Patient's Work of Breathing Between Pressure-Controlled Ventilation with Decelerating Flow and Volume-Controlled Ventilation with Constant Flow during Assisted Ventilation (보조환기양식으로서 감속형유량의 압력-조절환기와 일정형유량의 용적-조절환기에서 환자의 호흡일의 차이)

  • Background : The patient's work of breathing(WOBp) during assisted ventilation may vary according to many factors including ventilatory demand of the patients and applied ventilatory setting by the physician. Pressure-controlled ventilation(PCV) which delivers gas with decelerating flow may better meet patients' demand to improve patient-ventilator synchrony compared with volume-controlled ventilation(VCV) with constant flow. This study was conducted to compare the difference in WOBp in two assisted modes of ventilation, PCV and VCV with constant flow. Methods : Ten patients with respiratory failure were included in this study. Initially, the patients were placed on VCV with constant flow at low tidal volume($V_{T,\;LOW}$)(6-8 ml/kg) or high tidal volume($V_{T,\;HIGH}$)(10-12 ml/kg). After a 15 minute stabilization period, VCV with constant flow was switched to PCV and pressure was adjusted to maintain the same tidal volume($V_T$) received on VCV. Other ventilator settings were kept constant. Before changing the ventilatory mode, WOBp, $V_T$, minute ventilation($V_E$), respiratory rate(RR), peak airway pressure (Ppeak), peak inspiratory flow rate(PIFR) and pressure-time product(PTP) were measured. Results : The mean $V_E$ and RR were not different between PCV and VCV during the study period. The Ppeak was significantly lower in PCV than in VCV during $V_{T,\;HIGH}$. HIGH ventilation(p<0.05). PIFR was significantly higher in PCV than in VCV at both $V_T$ (p<0.05). During $V_{T,\;LOW}$ ventilation, WOBp and PTP in PCV($0.80{\pm}0.37\;J/min$, $164.5{\pm}74.4\;cmH_2O.S$) were significantly lower than in VCV($1.06{\pm}0.39J/mm$, $256.4{\pm}107.5\;cmH_2O.S$)(p<0.05). During $V_{T,\;HIGH}$ ventilation, WOBp and PTP in PCV($0.33{\pm}0.14\;J/min$, $65.7{\pm}26.3\;cmH_2O.S$) were also significantly lower than in VCV($0.40{\pm}0.14\;J/min$, $83.4{\pm}35.1\;cmH_2O.S$)(p<0.05). Conclusion : During assisted ventilation, PCV with decelerating flow was more effective in reducing WOBp than VCV with constant flow. But since individual variability was shown, further studies are needed to confirm these results.

  • It has been issued that the necessity of Live line work for 765kV vertical double circuit six bundle conductors transmission line when the characteristics of transmission line, the composition of T/L and near the T/L circumstances etc. Others are considered. The Barehand method of UHV T/L is extremely dangerous work and especially it is directly related with lineman life so it is very dangerous. It should be performed several technology developments for live-line work on the UHV T/L, that should be considered such as the electrical influence on workers near the T/L, development of live-line facilities, guarantee of safety, the technical rules of live-line work, the safe method of live-line work and etc. In order to maintain the 765kV transmission lines safely by barehand work, first of all, we should know the analysis of electrical safety level test in live-line work at 765kV vertical double circuit six bundle conductors on the suspension string tower type.

  • A pathos block line cut-vertex graph of a tree T, written P BLc(T), is a graph whose vertices are the blocks, cut-vertices, and paths of a pathos of T, with two vertices of P BLc(T) adjacent whenever the corresponding blocks of T have a vertex in common or the edge lies on the corresponding path of the pathos or one corresponds to a block Bi of T and the other corresponds to a cut-vertex cj of T such that cj is in Bi; two distinct pathos vertices Pm and Pn of P BLc(T) are adjacent whenever the corresponding paths of the pathos Pm(vi, vj) and Pn(vk, vl) have a common vertex. We study the properties of P BLc(T) and present the characterization of graphs whose P BLc(T) are planar; outerplanar; maximal outerplanar; minimally nonouterplanar; eulerian; and hamiltonian. We further show that for any tree T, the crossing number of P BLc(T) can never be one.

  • We introduce the concepts of (${\mathcal{T}}^{{\mu}{\gamma}},{\mathcal{U}}^{{\mu}{\gamma}}$)-double (r, s)(u, v)-preclosures and (${\mathcal{T}}^{{\mu}{\gamma}},{\mathcal{U}}^{{\mu}{\gamma}}$)-double (r, s)(u, v)-preinteriors. Using the notions, we investigate some of characteristic properties of double pairwise (r, s)(u, v)-precontinuous mappings.

  • The concept of pseudoLindelof spaces is introduced. It is shown that the followings are equivalent: (a) for any two disjoint zero-sets in X, at least one of them is Lindelof, (b) $\mid$vX{\;}-{\;}X$\mid${\leq}{\;}1$, and (c) for any space T with $X{\;}{\subseteq}{\;}T$, there is an embedding $f{\;}:{\;}vX{\;}{\rightarrow}{\;}vT$ such that f(x) = x for all $x{\;}{\in}{\;}X$ and that if $X{\;}{\times}{\;}Y$ is a z-embedded pseudoLindelof subspace of $vX{\;}{\times}{\;}vY,{\;}then{\;}v(X{\;}{\times}{\;}Y){\;}={\;}vX{\;}{\times}{\;}vY$.

  • A method finding out routability for unrouted signal lines and rerouting those which are turned out to be able to route in layout design of LSI is described. In this paper the problems of finding two-disjoint Paths represented by an undirected graph G=(V,E), where V,E are sets of vertices and edges respectively, are studied. The existence of two-disjoint paths from s1, to t1, (called P1) and from S2 to T2 (called P2) indicated by the four vertices on the graph s1, t1, s2, t2 $\in$ V means that two distinct signal lines exist in layout design. It turns out that the proposed time complexity in the algorithm is O (IVI x IEI).

  • In this paper, for a given p-adic quasicharacter $c_{v}$ : $k_{v}$longrightarrow $Q_{p}$ satisfying a special condition, we will explicitly construct an admissible pairing corresponding to $c_{v}$. We define a p-adic height on the arbitrary abelian varieties associated to divisors and $c_{v}$ by using admissible pairings at every nonarchimedean places. We also show that our p-adic height satisfies similar properties of Neron-Tate's canonical p-adic height.t.ght.t.t.

  • In this paper, we introduced and studied sa-supplement submodules. A submodule U of a module V is called an sa-supplement submodule in V if there exists a submodule T of V such that V = T + U and U ∩ T is semiartinian. The class of sa-supplement sequences ������ is a proper class which is generated by socle-free modules injectively. We studied modules that have an sa-supplement in every extension, modules whose all submodules are sa-supplement and modules whose all sa-supplement submodules are direct summand. We provided new characterizations of right semiartinian rings and right SSI rings.

A Study on the Strength Characteristics of the FRP Bonding Method (FRP 이음방식에 따른 구조강도 특성에 관한 연구)

  • We studied about the strength characteristics of the FRP bonding method due to reduce accident on the oceans and protect life for my people. We test tension and bending strength of butt joint, lap joint, V-scarf joint, X-scarf joint. The result of test, it's pattern is similar both tension and bending strength. Tension strength and bending strength was excellent in order to X-scarf-butt joint-V-scarf-lap joint. The tension strength is the best properties X-scarf showed a 57% strength rate of the basic material, and bending strength showed a 77% strength rate of the basic material. Overall, the X-scarf 12t joint has most excellent properties of tension and bending strength. The lap joint has worst properties of tension and bending strength. We have to test having different over-lay of V-scarf and X-scarf joint each 12t, 16t, 20t. V-scarf of 20t over-lay has excellent character of tension and bending strength. But X-scarf of 12t over-lay has excellent character of tension and bending strength. The results are shown to the contrary. The ship is received a lot of stress. it's hard to compare a direction both actual and test. But we can acknowledge material basic characteristic of strength through tension and bending test. We give the four repair method; butt joint, lap joint, V-scarf joint, X-scarf joint and the reduced ratio in comparison with basic material; In addition give the separated data for V-scarf and X-scarf characteristic of 12t, 16t, 20t overlay length. For our study repair man can select good repair method in his work station.
