This work conducted the experimental analysis on ultrasonic acoustic matching in order to measure the accuracy of gaseous fuel level values. The experimental devices were used as 12V-DC supply, control T1 board, oscilloscope (DS01072B), ultrasonic probe and pattern table. The research models were designed by ceramic assay which can determine the transmitting and receiving energies. The result of the ringing area could verify the increased characteristics in the order of D (0.180m) < E (0.184m) < B (0.204m) < A (0.234m) < F (0.244m) < C (0.247m) models based on initial 2.9V of the maximum peak voltage. From the experimental results, the model designed by Ø21*3+2t of the matching layer was notable in that the most outstanding directivity energy could be created.

Hysteresis loops of the ferroelectric thin films such as PLZT(10/30/70), PLT(10) and PZT(30/70) was simulated using the field-dependent polarization model and compared to the measured loops. In case of PZT(30/70) thin film, as the real saturation or polarization at the applied voltage or larger than 5V appears slack and its value is quite different from the simulated one, it is deduced that the ferroelectric polarization of PZT(30/70) is generated not only by the pure dipoles but also by various electric charges. The drain current of quasi-MFISFET is expressed by using the square-law FET and field-dependent polarization models. The modeling results are analogous to the experimental values. The channel of quasi-MFISFET using PZT(30/70) forms more quickly compared to that of quasi-MFISFET using PLZT(10/30/70) or PLT(10) in the state of 'write' gate voltage of -10V. This may be because the decrease rate of the polarization in the PZT(30/70) thin film is 3~4 times more rapid than that of the polarization in the PLZT(10/30/70) or the PLT(10) thin film in the retention characteristics.

MMIC low noise amplifiers for millimeter-wave application using 0.15 $\mu$m pHEMT have been presented in this paper. The design emphasis is on active device model and EM simulation. The deficiency of conventional device models is identified. A distributed device model has been adapted to circumvent the scaling problems and, thus, to predict small signal and noise parameters accurately. Two single-ended low noise amplifier are designed using distributed active device model for Q-band(40 ∼ 44 GHz) and V-band(58 ∼65 GHz) application. The Q-band amplifier achieved a average noise figure of 2.2 dB with 18.3 dB average gain. The V-band amplifier achieved a average noise figure of 2.9 dB with 14.7 dB average gain. The design technique and model employed provides good agreement between measured and predicted results. Compared with the published data, this work also represents state-of-the-art performance in terms of gain and noise figure.

Photovoltaic System is increasing install capacity based on environmental-friendly characteristics. It have been actively studied to improve the efficiency. In order to design highly efficient system, it is important to understand the output characteristics of solar panels. The single diode model can represent the physical characteristics of solar panel. But it needs complex process such as mutli-step measurement and numerical analysis to get the exact parameters. In this paper, The method for extracting characteristic parameters of the single diode model based on the I-V characteristic curves in the panel manufacturer's data-sheet is presented. To verify the proposed method, solar cell model constructed in simulink. Simulink model output compared with output graph in datasheet.

A large volume of data will improve the robustness of deep learning models and avoid overfitting problems. In automatic tongue segmentation, the availability of annotated tongue images is often limited because of the difficulty of collecting and labeling the tongue image datasets in reality. Data augmentation can expand the training dataset and increase the diversity of training data by using label-preserving transformations without collecting new data. In this paper, augmented tongue image datasets were developed using seven augmentation techniques such as image cropping, rotation, flipping, color transformations. Performance of the data augmentation techniques were studied using state-of-the-art transfer learning models, for instance, InceptionV3, EfficientNet, ResNet, DenseNet and etc. Our results show that geometric transformations can lead to more performance gains than color transformations and the segmentation accuracy can be increased by 5% to 20% compared with no augmentation. Furthermore, a random linear combination of geometric and color transformations augmentation dataset gives the superior segmentation performance than all other datasets and results in a better accuracy of 94.98% with InceptionV3 models.

TEM(투과전자현미경, Transmission Electron Microscop)은 결정재료뿐 아니라 비정질 재료까지도 원자단위의 구조를 연구하는데 매우 유용한 도구이다. 본 연구에서는 TEM의 microanalysis accessary인 EELS(Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy)technique을 주로 이용하던 기존의 방법대신 고 분해능(HRTEM(High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy)의 image로부터 비정질 정량묘사의 유일한 도구인 원자분포함수(RDF(Radial Distribution Function))로의 Reconstruction을 Simulation을 이용하여 시도하였다.

This paper presents an experimental study on an electrical circuit model of the TiO2-based nano-wired memristor device for neuromophic applications. The electrical circuit equivalent model of the proposed memristor device consists of several electronics components and some passive devices including operational amplifiers, multipliers, resistors and capacitors. In order to verify the proposed design, both of simulation (using PSPICE) as well as hardware implementation were performed for the analysis of the memristor circuit with time waveforms, frequency spectra, I-V curves and power curves. The gained results from the measured data showed a good agreement with the simulation result that confirm the proposed idea.

Experimental flutter test for a flat plate wing is performed and the flutter analysis methods are verified by comparing with the experimental results. Wing model and experimental equipment are established in the subsonic wind-tunnel. From the response of the wing, the flutter speed is estimated by using the system identification technique. MSC/NASTRAN, V-g method and root-locus method are used for the flutter analysis of the wing. The computed flutter speed is compared with the estimated one from the experiment, and they show good agreement. Wing model in the present study can be used as a benchmark model for the flutter analysis.

Model verification and validation (V&V) is a current research topic to build computational models with high predictive capability by addressing the general concepts, processes and statistical techniques. The hypothesis test for validity check is one of the model validation techniques and gives a guideline to evaluate the validity of a computational model when limited experimental data only exist due to restricted test resources (e.g., time and budget). The hypothesis test for validity check mainly employ Type I error, the risk of rejecting the valid computational model, for the validity evaluation since quantification of Type II error is not feasible for model validation. However, Type II error, the risk of accepting invalid computational model, should be importantly considered for an engineered products having high risk on predicted results. This paper proposes a technique named as the response-adaptive experimental design to reduce Type II error by adaptively designing experimental conditions for the validation experiment. A tire tread block problem and a numerical example are employed to show the effectiveness of the response-adaptive experimental design for the validity evaluation.
