  • Recently, with the increasing use of power semiconductors and microprocessors which are very sensitive to little change of power quality and for coping positively with anticipating power quality disputes between power providers and consumers which are possible to occur by of power market being formed, the power quality problem has gained preponderance among the contemporary research areas. To serve these purposes, the integrated system has been researched and developed for power quality analysis and monitoring, which provides speedy and powerful functions by the growth of computer hardware and information technology. But the advent of fast and lower price hardware make little difference in an application on many systems. As a result, the key issues of constructing power quality monitoring system are in the management of data obtained, accurate algorithms, graphic representation and user-friendly-environment for easy and clear analysis results. So, in this paper it will be introduced that the standard of user-friendly-GUI(Graphic User Interface) and analysis graphic representation for intuitive understanding of results from power quality analysis based on consideration of several systems currently being in use.

이용자편의 시스팀의 이용자모델링 (A study on the user modeling for user friendly system)

  • Through this study, some considerations to be taken into account in order to construct the user model for the user friendly system which can provide each individuals user armed with varied intellectual level with the relevant information, can be summarized as follows : (1) The user' ability to use the system and users' subject knowledge, the distribution of the users' level knowledge should be considered for the decision of the typed of interaction between the users and the system. (2) the knowledge of the user models should include the following kinds of knowledge inharmony with one another, 1. Standard user knowledge which represents a general characteristic of user group, 2. individual user knowledge which represents an individual's unique characteristic, 3. Long-term user knowledge which represents the education level and subject background of users, 4. short-term user knowledge which represents the purpose of information science and information need by users (3) As knowledge generation technique, both the implicit method and explicit method should be a n.0, pplied, observation of the system during the interaction, and explicit method generates the knowledge by the user's answering the questions already made by the system. (4) The frame technique as the knowledge representation for the user-modelling in which user-knowledge is represented in a limited situation and in a qualitative aspects, can be recommended. The frame is adequated for the explanation of structured situation, and for the processing the present situation by inferring the previous experiences.

  • With the development and rapid growth of cloud computing, lots of application services based on cloud computing have been developed. In addition, cloud-based DRM systems have been developed to support those services' copyright and privacy protection. In this paper, we propose a new cloud-based user-friendly DRM system, which allows users to execute the same contents bought at most n times at any devices with license enforcement, which checks the validation of licenses before every execution, having no smart card, which has to carry a smart card reader that seems troublesome to a user, and providing the copyright and privacy protection.

  • Polishing a die that has free-form surfaces is a time-consuming and tedious job, and requires a considerable amount of high-precision skill. In order to reduce the polishing time and cope with the shortage of skilled workers, a user-friendly automatic polishing system was developed in this research. The polishing system with five degrees of freedom is able to keep the polishing tool normal to the die surface. The polishing system is controlled by a PC-NC controller. And, to easily onerate the developed polishing system, this stud)r developed a integrated program in the Windows environment. This program consists of 4 modules: polishing module, a graphic simulator, a polishing data generation module, and a teaching. Also, the automatic teaching system was developed to easily obtain a teaching data. The developed teaching system consists of a three dimensional joystick and a proximity sensor. In order to evaluate stability of the driving program and the leaching system, polishing experiments of the die of saddle shape were carried out.

데이터베이스 유저 인터페이스를 위한 유저 모델 기반의 대화 시스템 (An User Model-Based Dialogue System for Database User Interface)

  • This paper presents a study on the introduction of User Model-Based Dialogue System. Also we present a plan-based Korean dialogue system as a natural language database user interface for product search. The system can be characterized by its support for mixed initiative to give user more control over dialogue, employment of user model to reflect user's preferences, alternative solution suggestion if there is no product matched exactly to user's requirements, handling circumlocution which frequently occurs in dialogues. The user modeling shell system BGP-MS is adapted for the system. The system provides for a user-friendly database user interface by managing dialogue intelligently. By its implementation and test, it has been shown that the user model-based dialogue system can be utilized effectively for product search.

  • Utilizing the tools such as CLIPS can reduce the time that it takes to develop expert systems. CLIPS is a development tool for expert system and has public inference engine and utilities. However, skilled programming is needed to run CLIPS on Windows 95, and proper interfaces for knowledge engineers or end-users who do not have good programming ability should be developed. Therefore, the user-friendly interfaces including htitle, hmenu, hyesno, htextdisplay, and hrun were developed and added to CLIPS. The intefaces were excuted in command-line mode of CLIPS on Windows 95. Also, htitle and hmenu can display graphic files for expert system users comprehension. An expert system was constructed using the interfaces and examples were displayed.

  • 정부에서 국민에게 공개하는 하천수질정보가 비환경전문가인 일반 수요자의 지식 수준을 고려한 서비스를 제공하지 못하는 한계가 있다. 이와 간은 문제에 대해 대안 을 제시하고자, 본 연구에서는 수직오염 측정결과와 지역주인이 일상생활에서 접하고 있는 지역의 지도(행정경계, 수계, 도로망등)를 결합하여 2차일 수질오염지도를 제작 하였다. 다양한 수질폭정항목에 대해 다년간 축척된 방대한 자료를 간단하게 검색하 고 컴퓨터 지도에 출력할 수 있는 인터페이스가 설계되었다. 아울러 수질측정결과를 그래픽정보로 가공하여 광역적인 수직오염변화 추이를 풍부한 시각 정보로 지도상에 디스플레이 할 수 있는 기법이 구현되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 구축된 시스템은 인터 넷의 편리한 인터페이스, 자로 공유의 편리성을 이용하여 전 세계 어디에서나 서비스 에 대한 접근이 가능하다. 본 수요자 중심의 대민수질환경 인터넷GIS가 정부차원에서 도입되어 실무에 이용될 경우, 일반인이 수질환경에 내한 전문지식을 습득할 필요없 이, 검색하고자 하는 지역과 각종 수질측정 데이타를 선택하여 실생활과 관련된 수질 정보에 접근할 수 있어, 대민 환경정보 서비스 질의 개선측면에서 획기적인 계기를 마련할 것으로 사료된다.

  • 최근 들어 많은 차량이 네비게이션 시스템을 장착하고 있다. 초기의 시스템은 길을 안내하는 것이 주목적이었지만 여러 기술들의 발달로 다양한 기능이 추가되어 사용자에게 더욱 편리함을 주고 있다. 다양한 기록 매체를 재생할 수도 있고, 각각의 도로에 대한 유용한 정보도 알려주고, DMB 수신 장치를 장착하여 차량이 이동 중에 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 이용할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 아직까지 네비게이션 시스템에서 기본적이고 중요한 길 안내 기능은 크게 성장하지 못했다. 이에 본 논문에서는 외부환경, 운전자의 속도경향, 운전자 감정, 도로상태의 다양한 상황을 고려하여 운전자 상황에 맞는 인간 친화적인 경로 추천 방법을 제안한다. 또한 다양한 상황을 모듈화하여 각 상황의 알고리즘을 쉽게 수정할 수 있도록 계층적 구조로 구성하고 퍼지로직을 이용한다.

Web-GIS를 이용한 논산시 하천수질 관리 정보 지원시스템 구현(I) (Development of River Quality Management Information System Using Web-GIS of Nonsan-si(I))

  • The purpose of this study is to construct e-Nonsan, a user friendly river quality management information system for Nonsan-si basin using GIS (geographical information system) technology. GIS was ideally suited featuring a geographical characteristics(e.g., industries, cattle sheds) and very effectively used in mapping and symbolization for the distribution of the spatial/periodic status(e.g., pie or column chart) of the point/non-point pollutant source loads which can be effectively applied to a information system on the web-site. And a user interface, GUI(graphic user interface) was designed very diversely and simply enabled the and non environmental experts connect with the system and obtain a useful information of river quality. e-Nonsan, a visual mapping system for river quality was developed by reframing the monitoring data as graphic symbols and it was ideally suited to exploring area-wide river quality at a user-friendly manner due to extensibility and scalability along the various survey points. Eventually the final step of this study was to construct e-Nonsan based on Web-GIS could be assessed anywhere if internet service is available and offer a very useful information services of the river quality to the publics.
