Verifying Active Network Applications (액티브 네트워크 응용의 검증)

  • The routers in an active network perform customized computations on the messages flowing through them, while the role of routers in the traditional packet network, such as the Internet, is to passively forward packets as fast as possible. In contrast to the Internet, the processing in active networks can be customized on a per user or per application basis. Active networks allow users to inject information into the network, where the information describes or controls a program to be executed for the users by the routers as well as the end hosts. So the network users can realize the active networks by "programming" the network behavior via the programming interface exposed to them. In this paper, we devise a network protocol model and present a verification technique for reasoning about the correctness of an active application defined using the model. The technique is developed in a platform- and language-independent way, and it is algorithmic and can be automated by computer program. We give an example dealing with network auction to illustrate the use of the model and the verification technique.

  • 류, 온라인 쇼핑몰 산업이 발달하면서 운반해야하는 물류의 양이 증가하고, 인력의 증가로 인해 발생하는 비용이 증가하고 있다. 이에 물류 운반용 AGV(Automatic Guided Vehicle)의 필요성이 커지고 있다. AGV 운용의 큰 과제중 하나는 컴퓨터에 익숙하지 않은 작업자들이 보다 간편하게, 효율적으로 여러 대의 AGV를 운용하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 제어하기 위한 방안으로 핸드폰 어플리케이션을 제안한다. 어플리케이션을 통해 사용자가 유동적으로 목적지를 설정하여 운용할 수 있는 사용자 맞춤형 AGV 운용 시스템을 설계했다.

  • This paper intends to propose a technology for recommending convergence/composite art playlist contents that are fused with tags suitable for the user's situational information and taste to users for non-face-to-face art appreciation education. For the implementation of the proposed technology, the characteristics of works of art are analyzed, and related music and works of art are matched based on the tags of the analyzed works. In addition, we would like to propose a technology that automatically creates content for fusion and complex art viewing playlists using matched works.

  • ASP service users' needs for flexible and customized services to deal with changes in business environments and user contexts seems to be appealing due to the progress of technology and IT paradigm such as ubiquitous computing and web 2.0. Through the lens of expectancy confirmation and flexibility, we explored factors that influence users' repurchase intent and organizational benefit in ASP services. With an empirical study, we examined information quality, service quality, flexibility, customization, user satisfaction, trust in ASP services can contribute to the repurchase intent and organizational benefit. In addition to, business type and company size are added to the research model as control variables for user satisfaction, trust, and repurchase intent. Our findings suggested that the service quality and flexibility significantly were cruicial determinant of user satisfaction in ASP services. Furthermore, user satisfaction significantly influenceS repurchase intent, and organization benefits were affected by repurchase intent. This study has important implications for academic researchers and practitioners who seek to understand factors that affect ASP service users' repurchase intent and organization benefits.

NREH: Upper Extremity Rehabilitation Robot for Various Exercises and Data Collection at Home (NREH: 다양한 운동과 데이터 수집이 가능한 가정용 상지재활로봇)

  • In this paper, we introduce an upper extremity rehabilitation robot, NREH (NRC End-effector based Rehabilitation arm at Home). Through NREH, stroke survivors could continuously exercise their upper extremities at home. NREH allows a user to hold the handle of the end-effector of the robot arm. NREH is a end-effector-based robot that moves the arm on a two-dimensional plane, but the tilt angle can be adjusted to mimic a movement similar to that in a three-dimensional space. Depending on the tilting angle, it is possible to perform customized exercises that can adjust the difficulty for each user. The user can sit down facing the robot and perform exercises such as arm reaching. When the user sits 90 degrees sideways, the user can also exercise their arms on a plane parallel to the sagittal plane. NREH was designed to be as simple as possible considering its use at home. By applying error augmentation, the exercise effect can be increased, and assistance force or resistance force can be applied as needed. Using an encoder on two actuators and a force/torque sensor on the end-effector, NREH can continuously collect and analyze the user's movement data.

E-customized Product: User-centered Co-design Experiences

  • The purpose of this study is to orient users' touchpoints in co-design experience, to identify their need via visualized experience map, to recommend valid design information in online e-customization services. A user-centered co-design experience map (UCEM) is adopted to analyze the relation between users' desire and time spent, so as to evaluate the online co-design experiences. Based on evolutionary algorithm and fuzzy theory, data of this study is collected from 30 participants. The data was analyzed by descriptive analysis in SPSS, and frequency query and word cloud in NVivo. Employing design category and evaluating users' time spent, the findings are that (a) vamp color matching is consistent with interview data; (b) supported by qualitative feedback, the virtual experience map played an important role in the co-design process and the visualized interaction process; and (c) participants prefer to get more information and professional help on color matching and exterior design. Based on the findings in design category, future work should be focused on developing a better understanding of design resource recommendations and multi-stakeholder communication.

  • The evolution of telecommunications has raised the profile of many segments of the network that were not previously considered important. Until recently, basic telephony existed with the extension of passive cables without any particular user network interface. In the area of data communications, the introduction of flexible packet switching has allowed the network to evolve in a far more efficient manner. To overcome such separated network problems and business needs of both users and network providers, the integrated narrowband ISDN concept is being developed in most countries for implementation in the public switched telephone network (PSTN). The targets of ISDN, in my opinion, can be explained as follows : To the user, ISDN should provide the services at any time, at any place, through any media. To the business customer using PABX or LAN applications, ISDN should introduce customized services rapidly and also, ISDN should be developed by the modular hardware and software design approach in order for new services to be introduced rapidly and effectively. Software can be also developed by non-expert local staff to cater for adopting new user's service requirements immediately. Finally, ISDN will be able to increase business chances and benefit both users and operating companies.

An Optimized Partner Searching System for B2B Marketplace Applying Clustering Techniques (군집화 기법을 이용한 B2B Marketplace상의 최적 파트너 검색 시스템)

  • With the expansion of e-commerce, E-marketplace has become one of the most discussed topics in recent years. Limited theoretical works, however, have been done to optimize the practical use of e-marketplace systems. Other potential issues aside, this research has focused on this problem: 'the participants waste too much time, effort and cost to find out their best partner in B2B marketplace.' To solve this problem, this paper proposes a system which provides the user-company with the automated and customized brokering service. The system proposed in this paper assesses the weight on the priorities of a user-company, runs the two-stage clustering algorithm with self-organizing map and K-means clustering technique. Subsequently, the system shows the clustering result and user guide-line. This system enables B2B marketplace to have more efficiency on transaction with smaller pool of partners to be searched.

  • As digital convergence and mobile services evolve, personalization becomes one of the most important factors attracting customers. Personalization means functions offering individually customized services with relevant contents using information on individual preferences. This sort of personalized services has attracted great attention of a large part of online firms. One of representative services of such personalized services is a mobile widget service. In this study, we identified seven antecedents affecting the quality of personalized mobile widget services and empirically investigated which antecedent has a significant effect of the quality of personalized mobile widget services. In addition we carried out empirical investigation into the effect of the quality of personalized mobile widget service on user satisfaction and trust. As a result of this research, we revealed that seven variables including information services affected components of personalized services, and usefulness and perceived benefit as components of personalized services affected user trust and satisfaction for personalized services.

Collecting the Information Needs of Skilled and Be-ginner Drivers Based on a User Mental Model for a Cus-tomized AR-HUD Interface

  • The continuous development of in-vehicle information systems in recent years has dramatically enriched drivers' driving experience while occupying their cognitive resources to varying degrees, causing driving distraction. Under this complex information system, managing the complexity and priority of information and further improvement in driving safety has become a key issue that needs to be urgently solved by the in-vehicle information system. The new interactive methods incorporating the augmented reality (AR) and head-up display (HUD) technologies into in-vehicle information systems are currently receiving widespread attention. This superimposes various onboard information into an actual driving scene, thereby meeting the needs of complex tasks and improving driving safety. Based on the qualitative research methods of surveys and telephone interviews, this study collects the information needs of the target user groups (i.e., beginners and skilled drivers) and constructs a three-mode information database to provide the basis for a customized AR-HUD interface design.
