Interactive Experience Room Using Infrared Sensors and User's Poses

  • A virtual reality is a virtual space constructed by a computer that provides users the opportunity to indirectly experience a situation they have not experienced in real life through the realization of information for virtual environments. Various studies have been conducted to realize virtual reality, in which the user interface is a major factor in maximizing the sense of immersion and usability. However, most existing methods have disadvantages, such as costliness or being limited to the physical activity of the user due to the use of special devices attached to the user's body. This paper proposes a new type of interface that enables the user to apply their intentions and actions to the virtual space directly without special devices, and test content is introduced using the new system. Users can interact with the virtual space by throwing an object in the space; to do this, moving object detectors are produced using infrared sensors. In addition, the users can control the virtual space with their own postures. The method can heighten interest and concentration, increasing the sense of reality and immersion and maximizing user's physical experiences.

  • As human-centered design has become new paradigm in the whole field of design, they make an effort to understand users in the field of graphic interface design. However, there are not much of study to systematic process for human-centered approach in graphic interface design. Therefore, in this paper, the study was conducted to develop application methodology of prototype in the graphic user interface design process. The study consists of three sections. first, definition, types and application methods are introduced by secondary research. Second, all the knowledge gathered above by secondary research are integrated in the newly proposed Prototype-based interface design process. There are many types of prototype from idea sketches on the paper to final working prototype realized by computer. It is needed to develop and test appropriate prototype with appropriate techniques by objectives of the stages. Finally, the proposed prototype-base design process is verified and exemplified through the process of using prototype in the development of multi-user educational multimedia product.

  • The 24 channel meridian electric-potential measuring System consists of a main cpu module, bio-signal analog module, interface module, power module, personal computer. The graphic user interface program conveniently allows user to setup, calibrate, measure, store, and control the meridian electric-potential measuring system. This system and program will continually be evolved using a database of clinically correlated meridian electric-potential. A variety of system configurations gives it the ability to make a user-favorable environment for measuring.

  • Based on the success model and Expectation Confirmation model of information system, the concept model of mobile bus payment App users' willingness to continue using is constructed by introducing function quality and interface design quality. A total of 264 valid questionnaires are obtained by issuing online questionnaires, and the model is tested by SmartPLS3.0 software The results show that users' perceptions of information quality, system quality and interface design quality will affect users' perceived usefulness and satisfaction through the scene, and then affect users' willingness to continue to use; Perceived functional quality has a significant impact on perceived usefulness, but has no significant impact on satisfaction. Perceived usefulness has a significant impact on user satisfaction.

  • Kiosk is an unmanned information system arranged in public places or commercial spaces so that a user may utilize information conveniently. Unlike a personal computer, it targets varied users' brackets, so we have to consider a user's characteristic in designing Kiosk Interface. However, in reality, the Kiosks of public places like subway stations are of Interface Design without considering users and become almost useless with serviceability falling. In this study, we attempt to point out such problems and suggest the concept as to the Interface Design in the public places for a more positive promotion method. For this purpose, we are about to look into the concept of Tangible Interaction and Interspace and the recreation experienced in the process of interaction between a human and a computer and study the sportive Kiosk Interface Design in the Interspace using the principle of the Tangible Interaction. For the conceptual Model in this study, we referred to ARTCOM(ART+COM) Project.

Development of User Interface for High Frequency Digital Oscilloscope based on Python (파이썬기반 고주파 디지털 계측기 사용자 인터페이스 개발)

  • Recently, with the development of mobile communication technologies such as 5G, interest in oscilloscope technology based on high bandwidth and user-friendly UI is increasing. In this paper, we proposed a Python-based UI(user interface) SW for a high-bandwidth digital oscilloscope in connection with the study of a 13GHz band digital oscilloscope system. The proposed UI SW is designed not only to be executed integrally with the oscilloscope, but also to be run on a separate PC or laptop cooperating with the instrument through WiFi communication. Functions of the UI SW consists of displaying and analyzing signal data, storing signal data in an external storage device, generating test signal data, and reconfiguring the toolbar. Finally, we have shown that the proposed digital oscilloscope system operates normally by interworking test with the signal generator.

  • Up to now, surgeons have operated while peering at images which visualize the medical state of the patient such as MRI or CT images. On the other hand, direct-projected augmented reality technology liberates surgeons from the inconvenience by directly projecting medical information onto the patient's body. However surgeons still feel inconvenient when they mark surgical targets for planning an operation because they use an ink pen which is difficult to modify or delete and is also likely to be unsanitary. In this paper, we resolve these problems by proposing an interactive user interface based on direct-projected augmented reality technology and its validity is shown in experimental results.

  • 현재 NUI(Natural User Interface)는 차세대 입력 방식으로 주목을 받고 있다. 이미 한글 입력에 관한 NUI가 다양하게 연구 및 개발되고 있지만, 한글 입력 NUI는 직관성과 정확도의 부족과 불완전한 인식률 등의 한계점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 사용자의 핸드 제스처를 인식하기 위해 Leap Motion 장치를 사용하고, 한글의 글자 조합 원리를 바탕으로 자음과 모음 입력의 제스처를 분리하여 인식의 정확도를 높인다. 그리고 모음의 방향성을 참고하여 한글 입력에 직관성을 향상할 수 있는 핸드 제스처를 연구한다. 이를 통해 사용자가 NUI 환경의 디바이스를 좀 더 정확하고 빠르게 조작할 수 있도록 돕는다.

  • NUI is a motion interface. It uses the body of the user without the use of HID device such as a mouse and keyboard to control the device. In this paper, we use a Pi Camera and sensors connected to it with small embedded board Raspberry Pi. We are using the OpenCV algorithms optimized for image recognition and computer vision compared with traditional HID equipment and to implement a more human-friendly and intuitive interface NUI devices. comparison operation detects motion, it proposed a more advanced motion sensors and recognition systems fused connected to the Raspberry Pi.
