This study analyzed the process of information service and its factors in the cognitive viewpoint. And developed a conceptual model to help in developing future information systems and services. The results of this study were summarized as follows : 1) The paradigm of information user study is changing from the system-centered to the user-centered one. 2) The researchers describe the user's internal cognitive process as the starting point of the information service. 3) The user's personal cognitive process influence the process of the information service over. And the focus is a microscopic one including the factors of the perception and recognition of the stimulus, remembering and searching information, reasoning the rules, recognition of the patterns, formalization of the concepts, etc. 4) The information librarian performs the role as a knowledge/ information system interface, and his knowledge structure reflects the organization of that knowledge/information system. 5) The information librarians can perform their role as information specialists actively and offensively. And the performance of the librarians can be measured on the scales of the su n.0, pplying capability of relevant information and the client satisfaction.

This study is based on the Importance of home office in domestic environment in Korea. In recent years, the distribution of network environment at home has been changed rapidly Each family member uses home office for various purpose. The home office in domestic living environment become a part of common use for all family member. The purpose of this study is to set the framework of design direction in terms of system furniture for home office within the limitation of current standard space at home such as typical apartment - 30 pyeong, 40 pyeong. The first step of study is to understand user space and user needs through the user survey. The second step is to find the right location and plan of home office in domestic environment. The last is to suggest the integral system furniture and elements that fits to the various situations of location according to the space and user type.

This study begins to make inquires about user's opinion of introducing Interior Landscape into Apartment Housing to the problems of contemporary Interior Landscape and suggest the fundamental data to improve it. The city-ward drifting of population drawn from industrial development and aggravation of living condition bring about exclusion of nature and lack of green space. Furthermore, it increases the length of stay of urban liver in indoor space. Thus, dweller's desire to Interior Landscape increase but housing can't follow it. The purpose of this study is to understand characteristics of Interior Landscape, derive essential factors, study plans, establish radical data, and suggest better plans including Interior Landscape through making inquires about user's opinion.

Human resource development(HRD) is one of the important success factors in competitive business circumstance. So many companies are developing HRD system for role based competent person rearing to catch up with fast changing situations. And they are building professional and specific HRD systems, With these trends, this study analyze which are affecting user satisfaction in role based corporate HRD systems. Recognized profit, HRD support situation, and user experiences affect to user satisfaction significantly. And HRD support situation is the biggest affecting factor to user satisfaction.

Assessing user information requirements is one of the most important issues in building Executive Information Systems. Application of the Balanced Score Card method as a tool for strategic planning and performance measurement has been increasing recently in various fields. However there has been meager attempt to apply the method to user requirement analysis, in particular, for small and medium sized companies. This study surveyed 79 executives of small and medium sized companies in Korea. The study founds the applicability of BSC for analyzing user requirements of EIS, in terms of financial, customer, internal process, learning and growth perspectives. The paper also suggested several guidelines for using BSC to improve user satisfaction to the practitioners who are operating or planning to build EIS in the small and medium sized companies.

The emergence of open source software (OSS) with its successful projects and its most prominent advantages creates a vast interest among academics and practitioners. However, it has been found that focusing on the developments of OSS to be successful is not adequate and the adoption of OSS by uses is also very important. Although there are a great number of useful and easy to use OSS has been developed, the adoption of OSS and usage in the market is very low. Based on the technology equity implementation model (EIM), this study examines user resistance in the adoption of OSS (i.e., switching from the current system to OSS). A survey has done regarding the adoption of Linux as the case of study. We have found that user resistance to change has negative effect on adoption intention, and switching benefits, switching costs and perceived value have significant relationships with user resistance to change.

This study based on DeLone and McLean's IS success model aims to identify mobile office service factors affecting user satisfaction. The result of analysis showed that user satisfaction was positively related to job performance, and mobility and information quality affects user satisfaction. In addition to that, we carried out separated hypotheses test to investigate mobile office service factors depending on usage(frequently used functions) and job characteristics classified generally as either primary or support activities. As a result of this research, somewhat different results were derived. The main results of this study are that mobility is the most important factor affecting user satisfaction, and mobile office services should be more strictly guaranteed in quality especially if it supports primary activities of customer companies such as sales.

본 연구는 유저인터페이스 디자인에서의 정량적 사용성 분석방법과 정성적 사용성 분석방법을 혼용하여 개발한 방법론의 소개를 통해 사용자 심층적 경험과 욕구파악의 중요성을 강조하고 이의 적극적 활용을 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구방법론은 People, Prototype, Product에 대한 조사범주 및 3단계 순환과정의 반복과 탐험적 과정을 통해 사용자의 잠재된 경험과 욕구를 발견하고 이를 유저인터페이스 디자인에 반영 가능하도록 한다는 데 의의가 있다.

Objective: This study is concerned with the user interface (UI) design of touch screen based on the reaction time of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) user. Background: Adopting the touch screen technology, the ATM service has recently established a new user interface different from the existing button-type interface. Method: Experiments were conducted by simulating ATM touch screen layouts, and layouts were focused on location of menu buttons (left and right, top and bottom), number of menu buttons (8 and 12 buttons). Results: The results show that there are significant differences in correction ratio and reaction time by user groups, types of menu location, and the number of buttons. Conclusion and Applications: The results of this study can be used to provide baseline information for the interface design of ATM touch screen and the age differences in reaction time.
