Developing End-User Oriented Quality Dimensions for BcN Service (사용자 중심의 광대역통합망 서비스 품질척도 연구)

  • Since the guaranteed service quality(QoS) is spotlighted as a strategic competitive tool to Broadband Convergence Network(BcN) service providers, many scholars have dealt with QoS issues in the BcN environment. However, just a few researchers focus on end-users and most are lean toward service providers or technology itself. In this paper, therefore, we investigated how end-users could measure service quality in the BcN environment, and moreover, proposed the end-user oriented measurement guideline for BcN QoS. Through literature review and two surveys, four QoS dimensions and nineteen measurement items were derived from end-user's perspective. proposed QoS dimension and items would be utilized as meaningful tools for future BcN service.

Comparative Analysis of Visual Presentation and User Acceptability of Virtual/Augmented Reality Application for Architectural Design Review (설계검토를 위한 가상현실·증강현실 기술의 활용 효과 비교 분석)

  • Visualized information platforms through building information modeling (BIM) such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) improves the efficiency of architectural information exchange. Despite that, less effort has been directed to evaluate the effectiveness of different BIM visualization platforms for architectural design review. This study fills these gaps and compares three BIM visualization tools for reviewing diverse architectural review factors and technology acceptance degree. Three main BIM visualization tools, which are desktop-based, virtual reality-based and augmented reality-based, were employed and different architectural review factors and user's technology acceptance degree was measured. As a result, VR and AR environment showed better visual presentation than desktop environment during design review. In terms of the technology acceptance level, VR and AR environments have received higher ratings compared to desktop environments. The detailed findings provide guidelines for participants and researchers involved in design review process to selectively adopt VR and AR system to various architectural design review components.

  • The traditional recommendation system is developed on the assumption that users behave independently, and have problem of readability and efficiency are inferior due to simply sort products or lack of function for associate product attributes with user's taste. To solve this problem in this study we propose a system that provides user customized information that the analysis of the unstructured review data with the purchase histories of users processed with meaningful information after crawling product review data using text mining with R. This allows to help user make decisions can be provided only necessary information without analyze massive amounts of products review data.

  • To develop and validate an instrument to measure user satisfaction in Internet shopping environment, the EUCS instrument by Doll and Torkzadeh (1988) was used for this research. The results of the study shows how the main constructs of the model that will eventually interact for the user satisfaction in internet commerce environment. This research will present significant progress towards keeping the End-User Computing Satisfaction instrument relevant and applicable under the Internet shopping environment.

A Basic Study on User Experience Evaluation Based on User Experience Hierarchy Using ChatGPT 4.0 (챗지피티 4.0을 활용한 사용자 경험 계층 기반 사용자 경험 평가에 관한 기초적 연구)

  • With the rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence technology, there is growing interest in how to utilize it in practical applications. Additionally, the importance of prompt engineering to generate results that meet user demands is being newly highlighted. Exploring the new possibilities of generative AI can hold significant value. This study aims to utilize ChatGPT 4.0, a leading generative AI, to propose an effective method for evaluating user experience through the analysis of online customer review data. The user experience evaluation method was based on the six-layer elements of user experience: 'functionality', 'reliability', 'usability', 'convenience', 'emotion', and 'significance'. For this study, a literature review was conducted to enhance the understanding of prompt engineering and to grasp the clear concept of the user experience hierarchy. Based on this, prompts were crafted, and experiments for the user experience evaluation method were carried out using the analysis of collected online customer review data. In this study, we reveal that when provided with accurate definitions and descriptions of the classification processes for user experience factors, ChatGPT demonstrated excellent performance in evaluating user experience. However, it was also found that due to time constraints, there were limitations in analyzing large volumes of data. By introducing and proposing a method to utilize ChatGPT 4.0 for user experience evaluation, we expect to contribute to the advancement of the UX field.

  • Can we use the open innovation paradigm in Korean economy? Can Korea move from imitative national innovation system to Creative national innovation system without open innovation paradigm? We are looking for preliminary answers about these questions. In this paper, first of all, we review the theoretical factors of open innovation originated from professor Chesbrough, try to find out the limit of the theory, and propose the possibility of extending of open innovation from company to industrial sector, region and cluster, and national innovation system. We also review the user innovation models from Von Hippel and open business models. Second, we review the Korea open innovation cases according to the categories like as company, sector, cluster and regional innovation system, and national innovation system. Third, we prepose the theoretical and realistic implications, and next research agenda about Korea open innovation.

Investigating Key User Experience Factors for Virtual Reality Interactions

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate key user experience factors of interactions for Head Mounted Display (HMD) devices in the Virtual Reality Environment (VRE). Background: Virtual reality interaction research has been conducted steadily, while interaction methods and virtual reality devices have improved. Recently, all of the virtual reality devices are head mounted display based ones. Also, HMD-based interaction types include Remote Controller, Head Tracking, and Hand Gesture. However, there is few study on usability evaluation of virtual reality. Especially, the usability of HMD-based virtual reality was not investigated. Therefore, it is necessary to study the usability of HMD-based virtual reality. Method: HMD-based VR devices released recently have only three interaction types, 'Remote Controller', 'Head Tracking', and 'Hand Gesture'. We search 113 types of research to check the user experience factors or evaluation scales by interaction type. Finally, the key user experience factors or relevant evaluation scales are summarized considering the frequency used in the studies. Results: There are various key user experience factors by each interaction type. First, Remote controller's key user experience factors are 'Ease of learning', 'Ease of use', 'Satisfaction', 'Effectiveness', and 'Efficiency'. Also, Head tracking's key user experience factors are 'Sickness', 'Immersion', 'Intuitiveness', 'Stress', 'Fatigue', and 'Ease of learning'. Finally, Hand gesture's key user experience factors are 'Ease of learning', 'Ease of use', 'Feedback', 'Consistent', 'Simple', 'Natural', 'Efficiency', 'Responsiveness', 'Usefulness', 'Intuitiveness', and 'Adaptability'. Conclusion: We identified key user experience factors for each interaction type through literature review. However, we did not consider objective measures because each study adopted different performance factors. Application: The results of this study can be used when evaluating HMD-based interactions in virtual reality in terms of usability.

An Empirical Study of MIS CSF's for Small & Medium Business In Korea (우리 나라 중소기업 정보시스템의 성공요인에 대한 실증분석)

  • The purpose of this paper id to study the factors influencing MIS user satisfaction. For this purpose. I have reviewed the results of past studies on the performance factor of MIS, and introduced a new model associated with small & Medium Business. On the basis of this model, I have hypothesized that the following variables influence user satisfaction : (gender, age), individual characteristics(user attitude, training for user), managerial characteristic(top management involvement, organizational support) and task characteristics(task structure). There were 195 participants surveyed using questionnaires from 25 different small & medium Business in Pusan. The research model and associated hypotheses were tested by following statistical techniques: reliability test, regression, t-test and ANOVA. The findings of this study are follows; 1. It was found that gender and age are not correlated user satisfaction. 2. Among individual characteristics, only user attitude influence user satisfaction significantly. 3. While organizational supports influence positively user satisfaction, top management involvement do not influence it. 4. Task structure is highly correlated with user satisfaction. In spite of many factors affecting MIS success, this study did not consider all variables affect on user satisfaction. We need integrated model including more various factors.

  • This study, by case investigation of book review, one of user-participation services in university library, and questionnaire investigation on librarians, aims at suggesting current statuses, problems, and improvement. This study investigated the services performed at 35 4-year universities establishing the department of library and information science. This study, except 7 ones which doesn't offer the service, investigated the service offered by 28 universities, classifying with 3 contents. As a result, the publicity and method in university library including event had an influence on use. This study was performed to increase participation rate and to promote reading activity. This study judged that book review is indispensible to university libraries. Libraries presented the opinions that, for the purpose of promoting active book review, libraries have to perform positive publicity, attractive event, support in the level of schools, librarians' wills, expansion of discussion cultures, offer of unified book review among universities, and linkage method with other organization reading program.

  • With the rapid growth of the webtoon industry, a new model for webtoon applications has emerged. We have entered the era of webtoon application version 3.0 after ver 1.0 and ver 2.0. Despite these changes, research on user review analysis for webtoon applications is still insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to analyze user reviews for 'Kakao Webtoon (Daum Webtoon)' that presented the webtoon application 3.0 model. For analysis, 20,382 application reviews were collected and pre-processed, and TF-IDF, network analysis, topic modeling, and emotional analysis were conducted for each version. As a result, the user experience of the webtoon application for each version was analyzed and usability testing conducted.
