The purpose of this study is to measure economic value of full-text information services in order to determine whether it is worth for libraries to invest a large amount of money in constructing database to begin with. The study applied an contingent valuation method to measure its economic value. The imaginary scenarios are designed for estimation the value of Non-market-goods, estimation in advance and experts investigation are needed for rising the confidence level, double-bounded dichotomous choice is chosen in question method. The use value, which one user is willing to pay for domestic monograph full-text information services, was 836 won per one monograph. And, the annual non-use value was 236 won. The total annual economic value of all the students was 831 billion won.

Objectives : This study intended to figure out illegal treatment by unlicensed person in dental area and factors, which were considered as user's position on the basis of the local community investigation of health conditions in chungbuk provinces in 2008. Methods : This study used chi-square test and complex sample design of multi-variate logistic regression analysis to question 12,443 peoples who have experience on illegal dental treatment. Results : Multi-variate logistic regression analysis results showed that factors having related to illegal dental treatment are sex, age, education standards, subjective awareness of oral health condition, drinking experience of lifetime, unmet need of dental treatment, chewing difficulty, use of dentures, experience of scaling and the use of interdental care instrument. Conclusions : As a result of this study, in order to root out illegal dental treatment, we need to expand the breadth of health insurance coverage so that it can reduce the burden of dental expenses. Moreover, we need to set out health service of public oral health to inform the importances of maintaining good oral health and the problems of illegal dental treatment by unlicensed person.

The purpose of this study is to provide library users with the effective way of use on academic library and its collection. In order to achieve this purpose the menu structure and question contents appearing at the FAQs of academic library Website were analyzed. And also, guidelines for effective use of a university library via FAQ at different access stages were proposed. It is expected that the result of this study can help both a Web designer to the development and implementation of efficient library FAQs and a creator of a library use guidebook.

The system was constructed so that safety training of the region city gas governor could be carried out using virtual reality. This system was used to survey the general public and it was found that the operation controller has a great influence on the user in the training system. The same survey question was conducted to construct the safety training system of city gas governor using joystick and oculus touch. The results of these two surveys confirm the importance of the operation controller in the safety training system using virtual reality.

Hypertext raises question to general assumptions about our conventional conceptions of education. In this essay, three kinds of learning-models are presented by the application of "writing" hypertext literature to the English education of the elementary school. These models, which I call the "scene-centered" system, give knowledge to learners in non-linear, non-sequential structure. The term "scene" is a single concept or idea composed of a single sub-text, which is to be made by the group of students. This system is focused on the collaborative composition of students. Students, by generating sub-texts and connecting texts, perform the educational activities to expand the source text. The "scene-centered" system is, to put it into a Barte's term, a "writerly text." But in order to "write," "reading" should be accompanied. So, this system is a learning model in which writing and reading are carried on simultaneously. In all the process, students play a role of multi-user, with three access rights: read, write, and annotate. So, students making use of hypertext systems will act as reader-authors. And teachers will take the new role in collaborative writing environment. No longer the central authoritarian evaluator, they will become consultants, co-writers, coaches of their students.

With the increase in the number of smart phone users, smart phones themselves are seeing progress in terms of available functions. Many applications, too, are being developed to increase convenience in daily life. This study issued a list of information on films that the user wishes to see, by using an XML parser to call news articles related to the films in question to the news site RSS. The Android App server was built using Ubuntu and the latest film information was provided through the board that was built. The menu was consisted in a manner so that when the information interested was clicked on, a more detailed set of information became available.

In this paper, I proposed the general children's games and showed the design and implementation of children's games which are non-violent, emotionally helpful and good for the development of intelligence. I designed the user interface of the game for children, proposed relevant algorithms, and showed resultant screens of the game. Most of contemporary games are violent to children. To solve such problems, I designed and implemented the game which is not violent but educative and child-friendly. These days, entertainment games or Internet online games have been developed highly biased to children's interest and amusement rather than children's intellectual development. Usually, disabled children are inferior to normal children in movement of their hands and bodies. Therefore, it is hard for them to follow speedy games. This paper shows that the proposed intellectual development of the game can help disabled children not to be violent and to be more intelligent. That was proved by the results through the question investigation. According to the survey, disabled children's any violent actions were not reported after they played this game. Also, this game helped their intellectual development in accordance with the results of this study.

In this study, various aspects of site selection for constructing new public library by development of urban community were investigated. These are legal aspects, geographical characteristics, and criteria of selecting conditions of location for new building. In order to select the suitable site in the Jeon Ju City, the various statistical data and indices with regard to information and cultural activities of the local residents and a statistical data was investigated. And also, a user question investigation was executed. The vision and objectives of establishing new pubic libraries were presented, based on the result of the study. The result of this study will help the library policy maker to develope the library policy and to secure a budget from the regional government.

The major objective of this study was to develop recommendations for improving the design of pergola facilities located in neighborhood parks. The study employed the following methods : Physical measures and questionnaires. Physical treasures were taken of certain environmental attributes such as pergola sizes, structures, materials, etc. Questionnaires were randomly distributed to pergola users on the same day on which physical measures were scheduled. All data were collected in 1994 during the season of pergola use, September 3 to October 9. The major findings are as follows; 1. Of the 508 respondents to the question about use motivations, approximately 32% were a shady place, 18% seating arrangements suitable for conversation, 15% unconsciously, 13% a lack of bench in the park, 9% good view, and 13% other. 2. Regression analysis indicated that the best predictors of pergola user' satisfaction were : harmony with surroundings, accessibility, aesthetics of pergolas and benches, function of benches, and climbing plants. 3. Pergola design needs to be developed because pergola users were less satisfied with their pergola than with the park.

Most of the university libraries in Korea provide digital reference service(DRS), but the use of DRS is very low. The low usage of DRS seems to result from the lack of subject librarians, of staff, of public relations, and of managers' enthusiastic attitude and understanding of DRS. It is difficult to solve these problems because of the poor circumstances in universities. The collaborative digital reference service(CDRS) is a solution to these problems. Not only CDRS costs little but also can provide reference services in many different subject areas. Though subject specialist librarian, user-friendly system interface, system programs and administrative supports are necessary to implement CDRS, the education and training of the subject specialist librarians is the most important work to be done in the university library situation in Korea.
