  • Computing environments are being more and more various due to the development of technologies. While existing computing environments used for fixed locations or particular purposes by requesting big scale monitors or complicate calculation performance, recent computing environments are used for a variety of locations and for a diversity of purposes by using various devices. Because of the needs, digital device convergence, which emphases portability and mobility, came out. However, almost researches for user interface are performed for big scale monitors or complicate calculation performance until now. By the reason, user interface on each small device is different from others, or is not appropriate for the purpose of small device. Therefore, this research is to design Zoomable User Interface (ZUI) that adapts for small devices by adding the existing user interface on small devices and haptic technologies, and to implement a user interface for PDA devices.

  • This paper discusses a study on a mobile application aimed at making public transportation more convenient for people with mobility challenges on both Android and iOS platforms. The research analyzes the limitations and weaknesses of existing mobile applications for public transportation from the perspective of individuals with mobility challenges. The goal is to overcome these limitations and provide an optimized user experience. The motivation behind this research stems from the recognition that people with mobility challenges face difficulties in their daily commute, and current public transportation applications do not adequately cater to their needs. Consequently, the study aims to develop a specialized mobile application for individuals with mobility challenges to support them in achieving greater independence in their daily travels.

  • One of the major issues in current internet architecture is that it was not designed to support the user mobility. In order to overcome this restriction, in this paper, we propose an identifier/locator separation architecture which contain the overlay mapping system to store the identifier-to-locator mapping record. In addition, we design the mobility management scheme base on Identifier/Locator separation above for Furture Internet architecture. We then devise the analysis model to evaluate the signaling cost of our scheme. By conducting the simulation. we show that our scheme can operate with lower signaling cost than other schemes.

  • Yeung suggested[10] efficient channel management technique suitable for the mobility model in the hierachical cellular system. It improved the existing channel allocation techniques by additionally considering the user’s mobility, allocating the channel of microcell to low-speed mobiles, and the channels of macrocell to high-speed mobiles. In this paper, we have suggested new channel management technique, which is directly compared with those of Yeung’s system and existing model. Blocking probabilities for each model are found through the queuing analysis and we have shown that our proposed system outperforms the both.

  • This paper introduces the mobility-adaptive QoE provisioning solution. The key is placed on the intelligent selection of access network depending on the QoE criteria classified by the user mobility and the bandwidth demand for service. We further focus on the network-based smart handover scheme using the mobility-adaptive handover decision and the enhanced MIH-FMIP framework. The concept is the network-based calm service and the balance in order to facilitate vertical and seamless handover. In result, it is figured out that our solution improves QoE performance by selecting appropriate access network, repressing handover occurrence, and reducing handover delay as well.

  • Most of the Micro-mobility parking in Korea use Dockless system. However, Dockless can result in cluttering, infrastructure deficiencies, and safety challenges as has been observed in cities. It is necessary to introduce a Station Parking system in order to solve the drawbacks of the dockless, but the introduction without engineering has low accessibility and induces side effects. In this study, to decide optimal location about number of the Micro-mobility Station, we has been applied the MCLP model about the coverage range, usage demand, usage time in order to classify the type of Micro-mobility Station. For the MCLP, User Date input to reflect realistic demand in Bundang new town, Korea. The result show that the optimal number of facilities in 400 m was 146, and the coverage ratio was 99.83 %, which was most suitable coverage for solving the parking problem. We also classified the demand into 4 levels and the usage time into 3 levels, and by crossing them, we were able to classify the Parking lot types into 12 types. It is possible to propose strategic policies in the installation and operation of Micro-mobility Parking System.

  • Mobility prediction is one of hot topics using location history information. It is useful for not only user-level applications such as people finder and recommendation sharing service but also for system-level applications such as hand-off management, resource allocation, and quality of service of wireless services. Most of current prediction techniques often use a set of significant locations without taking into account possible location information changes for prediction. Markov-based, LZ-based and Prediction by Pattern Matching techniques consider interesting locations to enhance the prediction accuracy, but they do not consider interesting location changes. In our paper, we propose an algorithm which integrates the changing or emerging new location information. This approach is based on Active LeZi algorithm, but both of new location and all possible location contexts will be updated in the tree with the fixed depth. Furthermore, the tree will also be updated even when there is no new location detected but the expected route is changed. We find that our algorithm is adaptive to predict next location. We evaluate our proposed system on a part of Dartmouth dataset consisting of 1026 users. An accuracy rate of more than 84% is achieved.

  • Smart mobility is rapidly emerging as a next-generation eco-friendly transportation system, and the market is booming every year. However, due to the characteristics of the devices that use electricity as the power source, the motor and the battery are different from the performance and actual performance indicated by the manufacturer depending on the user's weight and driving environment. Therefore, The frequency of the overload is increased and the failure and damage of the device are increasing. In this paper, we propose an application that provides personalized recommended driving guidance and overloaded driving situation notification at the actual driving separately from the recommended driving provided by the manufacturer after measuring the driving environment of the user, so as to prevent malfunction and damage of the smart mobility device, To ensure safety.

  • Technological advances have recently led to the development of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) which is a small airplane being able to take off and land vertically. It is emerging as an alternative to transportation services in the city in the future because of the advantage of providing speed and congestion problem in cities like taxis. This research aim to study the user's acceptance of UAM. Based on the survey conducted abroad, the analysis was carried out based on th Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), by Davis et al. (1989). According to the data analysis results of 292 people, Technology, Reliability and Price effect perceived usefulness, which in turn effects Behavioral intention. UAM cannot be operated independently by a single company. It consists of partnerships with vehicles, transport platforms, batteries and other related company. To improve acceptance of UAM, it is required that collaboration between companies and support from government. And while UAM is being developed, research on acceptance from user's point of view should continue.
