  • The hand recognition technique is widely used to the economic input method for user interfacing environment. However, the most of the techniques have the restricted with recognize that only a fixed background and a regular pattern. This restriction character has brought a difficult problem to apply at variable application class and to process restriction environment. In this paper, we propose a virtual input system that extracting about hand region information that is not restricted by background image and also that can be followed the location information. This research could be used some system demanded by input of a person such as control system at airport and pavilion and economic virtual input system in class of industrial computer and various kinds control-system.

  • We consider three different secure broadcasting scenarios: i) Broadcast channels with common and confidential messages (BCC), ii) multi-receiver wiretap channels with public and confidential messages, and iii) compound wiretap channels. The BCC is a broadcast channel with two users, where in addition to the common message sent to both users, a private message, which needs to be kept hidden as much as possible from the other user, is sent to each user. In this model, each user treats the other user as an eavesdropper. The multi-receiver wiretap channel is a broadcast channel with two legitimate users and an external eavesdropper, where the transmitter sends a pair of public and confidential messages to each legitimate user. Although there is no secrecy concern about the public messages, the confidential messages need to be kept perfectly secret from the eavesdropper. The compound wiretap channel is a compound broadcast channel with a group of legitimate users and a group of eavesdroppers. In this model, the transmitter sends a common confidential message to the legitimate users, and this confidential message needs to be kept perfectly secret from all eavesdroppers. In this paper, we provide a survey of the existing information-theoretic results for these three forms of secure broadcasting problems, with a closer look at the Gaussian multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel models. We also present the existing results for the more general discrete memoryless channel models, as they are often the first step in obtaining the capacity results for the corresponding Gaussian MIMO channel models.

  • This paper investigates the R&D project portfolio selection problem. Despite its importance and impact on real world projects, there exist few practical techniques that help construct an non-dominated portfolio for a decision makers satisfaction. One of the difficulties constructing the portfolio is that such project portfolio problem is, in nature, a multi-attribute decision-making problem, which is an NP-hard class problem. This paper investigates the R&D project portfolio selection problem. In order to obtain the non-dominated portfolio that a decision maker or a user is satisfied with, we devise a user-interface algorithm, in that the user provides the maximum/minimum input values for each project attribute. Then the system searches the non-dominated portfolio that satisfies all the given constraints if such a portfolio exists. The process that the user adjusts the maximum/minimum values on the basis of the portfolio found continues repeatedly until the user is optimally satisfied with. We illustrate the algorithm proposed, and the computational results show the efficacy of our procedure.

  • NUI(Natural User Interfaces) has been developed through CLI(Command Line Interfaces) and GUI(Graphical User Interfaces). NUI uses many different input modalities, including multi-touch, motion tracking, voice and stylus. In order to adopt NUI to legacy GUI applications, he/she must add device libraries, modify relevant source code and debug it. In this paper, we propose a gesture-based interface model that can be applied without modification of the existing event-based GUI applications and also present the XML schema for the specification of the model proposed. This paper shows a method of using the proposed model through a prototype.

  • In order for a classification system to be useful in every day business environments, it has to reflect peculiar characteristics of enterprises and organizations. By automating the generation process of classification, the overall operation of classification system becomes effective and efficient. However, in order for it to be really useful, human input and interventions are needed from the very beginning phase of the classification generation. This paper proposes an user-guided classification generation algorithm, in which the user inputs a specific level of the classification that she/he wants. Also we propose and implement manipulation operators to tailor the initial classification into the shape that user wants.

  • Recently, manufacturing industries are doing their best to increase productivity and to reduce production time. One of tile efforts is to develop user-friendly and effective CAM systems. For this purpose, a CAM system for turning was developed. In the developed system. user interacts with tile CAM system using graphical user interface (GUI) and manufacturing support functions to make NC programs effectively. Manufacturing support functions include cycle decoder. interference check be ween tool and workpicce. bar turning without air cut and dynamic/wireframe simulation. In the cycle decoder. basic options are provided to novices for their convenience. and advanced options are provided to help expert to modify the program using their knowledge. Interference check has been nil issue in tile CAM system for tuning. In this paper. when a user selects a tool. interference check between selected tools and workpieces is done automatically. Moreover. remaining shapes are calculated automatically. Then, tile CAM system requests user to input all additional tool and generates NC codes to cut tile remaining shapes. In bar turning of forged raw material, air cut should be prevented for effective machining. For this purpose, a new algorithm for bar turning was developed. Dynamic and wireframe simulation was used to verify the generated NC code.

  • Due to the difficulty of coordination in the cellular uplink, it is a practical challenge how to achieve the optimal throughput scaling with distributed scheduling. In this paper, we propose a distributed and opportunistic user scheduling (DOUS) that achieves the optimal throughput scaling in a single-input multiple-output interfering multiple-access channel, i.e., a multi-cell uplink network, with M antennas at each base station (BS) and N users in a cell. In a distributed fashion, each BS adopts M random receive beamforming vectors and then selects M users such that both sufficiently large desired signal power and sufficiently small generating interference are guaranteed. As a main result, it is proved that full multiuser diversity gain can be achieved in each cell when a sufficiently large number of users exist. Numerical evaluation confirms that in a practical setting of the multi-cell network, the proposed DOUS outperforms the existing distributed user scheduling algorithms in terms of sum-rate.

  • In this paper, we propose new multiuser detectors (MUDs) based on compressed sensing approaches for the large-scale multiple antenna systems equipped with dozens of low-power antennas. We consider the scenarios where the number of receiver antennas is smaller than the total number of users, but the number of active users is relatively small. This prior information motivates sparsity-embracing MUDs such as sparsity-embracing linear/nonlinear MUDs where the detection of active users and their symbol detection are employed. In addition, sparsity-embracing MUDs with maximum a posteriori probability criterion (MAP-MUDs) are presented. They jointly detect active users and their symbols by exploiting the probability of user activity, and it can be solved efficiently by introducing convex relaxing senses. Furthermore, it is shown that sparsity-embracing MUDs exploiting common users' activity across multiple symbols, i.e., frame-by-frame, can be considered to improve performance. Also, in multiple multiple-input and multiple-output networks with aggressive frequency reuse, we propose the interference cancellation strategy for the proposed sparsity-embracing MUDs. That first cancels out the interference induced by adjacent networks and then recovers the desired users' information by exploiting the low user activity. In simulation studies for binary phase shift keying modulation, numerical evidences establish the effectiveness of our proposed MUDs exploiting low user activity, as compared with the conventional MUD.

  • To interpret the perception that originates from tactile sensibility during people touch and recognize the object surfaces, this study focuses on the development of a friction model that can describe the interaction of a stylus pen sliding over the counter surfaces. In addition, the study includes several other experimental factors such as the pressure, temperature, and topology of surface, which can have an effect on the emotional user experience concerning various surfaces; this research aims to suggest a method to quantitatively evaluate the relation between these experimental parameters and emotional user experience. Accordingly, the objective of research comprises the friction characteristic technology for measurement of fine tribological behavior and a standard to quantify the emotional feedback. Existing panels or input devices that provide interaction feedback about user actions simply operate with a single frequency vibration or sound response. On the contrary, this research investigates various interaction characteristics including friction force, frequency, and surface topology synthetically. Using the developed model, which can explain the relation between the friction parameters and emotional user experience, developers can design their product in order to provide the user with expected emotional sensibility. Consequently, it can contribute to reduce the development cost about sensitivity model.
